This bachelor thesis has the purpose to visualize and document the air movementsprovided by different ventilation principles in an operating theatre. The visualizationwill be made as simple as possible in a physical model. The model and thedocumentation should be able to use in educational purposes.The study is based on the two most common systems for airflow, currently used inoperating theatres. The first principle is displacement ventilation in which the air issupplied at low velocity along the floor. The second principle is vertical parallel laminarairflow in which the air is compressed like a piston from ceiling to the floor.A review of literature resulted in the choice of size, design, and scale factor for themodel, as well as choices of ventilation principles and airflows.

This study analyses social age as a phenomenon and if unaccompanied refugee children has a social age that, according to the Swedish culture, do not correspond with their biological age and if so is, the reason for that. Furthermore, our study has discussed the potential consequences of the effects for the unaccompanied refugee children and the social age when interacting with Swedish society. According to our study, the social age is effected by other factors besides cultural norms, values and role expectations that a society has on a specific biological age. The results in this study shows that social age is a vital component to someone?s identity.

Criminality is a very normal problem that occurs between youths within today?s society. In this study we will be accentuating and therefore be focusing on how young men are living their lives with criminality. In this study we have analyzed the underlying factors for what the causes and reasons are for young men to be part of the criminal life. One basic and underlying factor is families, growth, friendships and economic resources.

Domestic violence against women is a widespread problem around the world, this study aims to investigate Swedish men?s attitudes towards this problem. To investigate this I have done a historic overview of the political attitude change and I interviewed two ethnic Swedish men and two men with a foreign background, this because to get a fair representation of our multicultural society. The results and conclusions is that the attitude haven?t changed that much over the years, it is mostly the latest decades that politicians and the medial debate have acknowledge the imbalance of power between the genders and that the patriarchy is a major factor towards this attitude.The interviewed showed that the men with foreign background had a tendency to have more traditionally attitude towards women then the Swedish men..

Studien belyser fenomenet lågpresterande chefer i större organisationer.Den har två frågeställningar:A: Hur bör organisationer möta lågpresterande chefer?B: Hur möter organisationer lågpresterande chefer?A studeras i första hand teoretiskt genom den litteratur som finns i ämnet.B belyses genom egna intervjuer om erfarenheten hos några stora företag eller organisationer.Datainsamlingsmetoden har varit kvalitativa intervjuer och som analysinstrument har Hertzbergs version av Critical Incident-metoden använts.Litteraturstudien resulterade i följande hypoteser:? De chefer som lågpresterar i förhållande till de sex företagskulturella målen och inte heller klarar att leverera resultat är på väg att bli eller är redan uppsagda.? De chefer som lågpresterar på något av de sex målen gällande företagskultur men klarar att leverera resultat finns kvar inom organisationen och är då föremål för åtgärder som utbildning, omplacering eller liknande.? Organisationers förväntningar på en chef är samstämmiga med de sex egenskaperna gällande företagskultur som den goda ledaren ska ha för att anses vara en god ledare samt en sjunde förväntan om kompetens och förmåga att leverera resultat. De brister som jag kommer att finna kommer att beröra eller gälla någon av dessa sju.Utifrån intervjustudien kunde bara den sista hypotesen bekräftas.Intervjustudien gav flera intressanta svar på hur organisationer möter lågpresterande chefer. Bland annat såg man Rekrytering, Utbildning/coachning och Omplacering som viktiga strategier för att undvika lågpresterande chefer. När det gäller förändringar på sikt sågs möjligheten att få bort prestigen med chefsjobb som en viktig del samt att alla chefsjobb borde vara på 3-årsperioder.

There is an irregularity in the interregional migration in Sweden. An increasing proportion ofthe population is drawn to the metropolitan areas, which creates problems for the smallermunicipalities and towns when their population declines. At the same time, our whole societyis faced with a great challenge: we need to redirect towards a sustainable development, wherethe environmental issues are discussed and dealt with to secure that all present and futuregenerations are given equal opportunities to live a good life.The aim of this study is to, focusing mainly on the environmental dimension of thesustainability concept, examine the attractivity of housing with sustainability claims. Toanswer this, three research questions were used:? Was the migration motive to reduce their environmental impact a part of the decision tomove, among migrants who had moved to housing with sustainability claims?? If the motive was a part of the decision, how much impact did it have compared to othermigration motives?? Which factors in housing aiming at sustainability are considered important by peopleliving in housing with sustainability claims?The research questions have been answered using quantitative data, gained in the form of selfadministeredquestionnaires which were distributed in four different residential areas withsustainability claims in the county of Västra Götaland, Sweden.

In today's society there are a lot of offers towards consumers, where they actively have to choose the most appealing offer. In order for an offer to be attractive it must add value in line with the customers demand. Also, it requires that the offer provides a sufficient level of attraction so that the customer selects the particular product/service over another. Furthermore, each offer must exceed the expectations of the visitors to an event, so they feel that the event is something "extraordinary". We have chosen to study how LHC (Linkoping Hockey Club) works with marketing in order to improve the overall customer experience.

With some help of a few interviews, with children, and some staff members, in two different schools, I hope to answer the question: if the picture of the operation, that the children and the staff are having, has some similarities, and I will try to compare these pictures with what some legal documents such as Lgr 11 and Kvalitet I Fritidshem is saying about daycare opera-tions? To be able to run a successful daycare center, is never an easy thing. The key to success is to make parties, like the staff, children and their parents to feel happiness, when it comes to things around and about the daycare center. The result shows that both the children and the staff are expressing a frustration around the daycare operation, because they feel that there being wrongly answered, by a higher authority. The children are frustrated of how the staff is answering them about different things and the staff is frustrated about how the headmasters are answering them.

Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka om, och i så fall på vilket sätt, samhällskunskapsutbildningen påverkas av Sverigedemokraternas framgångar i skolvalet och riksdagsvalet, utifrån ett lärarperspektiv. Vi undersökte också om lärarna har upplevt någon attitydförändring hos eleverna vad det gäller främlingsfientlighet, intolerans och rasism samt tittat på vad lärarna anser om den nya läroplanen där samhällskunskapsämnet blir mindre på yrkesförberedande linjer. Detta görs med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra samhällskunskapslärare och resultatet analyseras utifrån teorier om olika demokratimodeller samt ett ?vi och dom? tänkande. Resultatet visar att undervisningen ser olika ut beroende på vilken demokratimodell som präglar lärarnas arbetsmetoder samt att lärarna ser olika på betydelsen av Sverigedemokraternas framgångar och vilken inverkan den har på undervisningen..

This study is about how changed light conditions induce dormancy in plants. It is divided in two parts. First a literature study where quantification of light, the concept dormancy, photoperiod and light quality are discussed. Second an experimental part, where the importance of light for sprouting capacity in root buds of perennial sow thistle (Sonchus arvensis L.) is investigated.In the science in how flowering in plants are induced the concepts short day/long day plants and light dominant/dark dominant are well-established. These concepts can also be applied to how light induce dormancy in plants.

The interviews provided insight in factors that can foster creativity and innovation in organizations.
