Healthcare staff working within emergency care must often handle extreme and emotional situations. Most of the certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) will some time during their professionally active lives confront with events that are difficult to handle and for some these events will lead to more or less serious traumatic distress and in certain cases develop post traumatic stress disorder symptoms. Many studies demonstrate that staff working in similar stress related environment runs larger risk in order to get stress related symptoms. The aim with the study was to describe the experiences around difficult work related events among CRNAs. The study was implemented as a descriptive study with qualitative run-up via a questionnaire with open questions relevant for the study's aim.

With help from Hälsoteknikcentrum the need for storage of medical items in the home care section has come to our attention by an investigation that Hälsoteknikcentrum did. Facilea and the nursing stuff at Eketånga home care have developed a product specified to improve the work situation for both the nursing staffs and the patients.The trolley is equipped with a special module to make the trolley more adjustable for the recipients and the nursing staffs needs and desires. The product also collect all the care items in one place. Which gives the care patient and its relatives a possibility to gather all the medical items in one place and don?t have to put these in bookshelves etcetera.After surveys, interviews and home visits a prototype was built.

The purpose of this study was to find knowledge about ostomy patients experience with a focus on overall life situation and the care they receive from the nurse. The method used was a systematic literature review according to Polit, Beck & Hungler. Six scientific research reports have been used as foundation of the result in this study. The articles have been reviewed according to Antonovsky's Sense of Coherence (SOC).The result shows that experiences of having ostomy are individual. Adapting to their new life situation varies depending on the reason for having an ostomy.

Syftet var att beskriva hur sjuksköterskor inom palliativ hemsjukvård uppfattar ochlindrar andnöd hos cancerpatienter i sen palliativ fas.Metoden var kvalitativ med fenomenografis ansnats. Sex informanter från två palliativa hemsjukvårdsteam i Mellansverige valdes ut och intervjuades.Resultatet som representerar informanternas olika uppfattningar bestod av de fem kvalitativt skilda beskrivningskategorierna:Diskrepans i uppfattningen av andnöd som vanligt förekommande och svårt.Fysiska och psykosociala faktorer orsakar andnöd.Stödjande faktorer är betydelsefulla för sjuksköterksans arbete.Känsla av osäkerhet och otillräcklighet.Medicinska åtgärder prioriteras framför omvårdnadsåtgärder.Slutsats: Studien visade att andnöd var ett komplext symtom som kräver enn mångfacetterad kompetens. Det framgår också att läkarstöd, kollegialt stöd, manualer, handledning oc erfarenhet stärkte informanternas omvårdnadsarbete och ökade förutsättningarna för att patientens andnöd lindrades på ett adekvat sätt. En god tillgång till de olika stödfaktorerna ökade dessutom informanternas möjlighet att hantera den ansträngda situation som uppstod i patientens hem. .

Background: Febrile seizures are common in childhood. When a child is stricken with febrile seizures it is not only the child that is suffering, in fact the whole family is affected. There are different ways to prevent recurrence of febrile seizures, such as use of different drugs. The parents also need information about febrile seizures and support from the nurse. Aim: The aim of this literature study was to illuminate the nurse?s preventive work for children who have been stricken with febrile seizures.

The aim of this study is to describe and analyse an elderly care team?s prerequisite to anchor a salutogenic perspective and approach in an elderly care team in Kalmar municipality. The study identifies factors that could impede or promote the anchoring and examine how the organisation aims to work in a single direction even if the multidisciplinary team processes a diversity of knowledge, education and abilities. The study is based on qualitative semi-structured interviews from representatives of all professions in the multidisciplinary team; social workers, paramedical professions, nurses and care-givers. The theoretical frame consisted of a translating perspective, leadership and ideas of interaction and power.

We have focused on the Kalmar region, since our intention is not to compare with other regions.

Hypertoni är idag en folksjukdom som berör många patienter i vården. Det är därför viktigt som sjuksköterska att ha kunskap om de olika behandlings-metoderna. Syftet var att studera vilka livsstilsförändringar som kan påverka hypertoni och att belysa sjuksköterskans roll vid de icke-farmakologiska metoderna. Fokus inriktades mot primärvården hos patienter som var över 18 år. Litteraturstudien är baserad på tio vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultatet kategoriserades i kost, övervikt, viktminskning, fysisk aktivitet, andning, stress, rökning och alkohol.

The study aimed to evaluate the information and training the stoma therapist at Uppsala University Hospital has given to patients who have recently undergone stoma surgery. The study was a descriptive cross-sectional study using qualitative and quantitative design. A total of 22 patients who completely or partially took care of their stomas and recently had undergone stoma surgery participated by answering a questionnaire. At discharge most of them experienced they were relatively well-informed but they wanted more information. Before the revisit they weren?t especially safe or comfortable.

Background:Mental illness has increased in Sweden and the individuals seeking care expect to be met with respect. The way patients perceive themselves to be treated by health care professionals plays a central part to care and treatment of patients, and the patients experience will decide how future care will proceed. The majority of complaints from patients with mental illness suggest that the way they are treated in health care is inadequate. For people with mental illness it is crucial how they perceive themselves to be treated since poor treatment can lead to reluctance in seeking future help. Aim: The purpose of this study was to describe how people with mental illness perceive themselves to be treated in primary health care.

Bakgrund: I Sverige är det mer än 160 000 personer som insjuknat i demens och hälften av dem har Alzheimers sjukdom, som är den vanligaste demenssjukdomen. När diagnosen Alzheimers sjukdom ställts förändras patientens och anhörigas livssituation. Anhöriga tar på sig ett ökat omvårdnadsansvar och känner en större ängslan och oro för framtiden. Syfte: Att belysa anhörigas upplevelser av att vårda en person med Alzheimers sjukdom. Metod: Studien utfördes som en allmän litteraturstudie och sju vetenskapliga artiklar som motsvarade syftet granskades kritiskt och analyserades.

Bakgrund: Lagen om psykiatrisk tvångsvård och Lagen om rättspsykiatrisk vård ger rätt att vårda patienter mot deras vilja. I psykiatrisk vård förekommer specifika omvårdnadsåtgärder som bältesläggning, tvångsmedicinering och avskiljning. Dessa väcker många känslor och kräver att sjuksköterskan arbetar med hänsyn och respekt. Relationen är en central del inom psykiatrisk omvårdnad och ska baseras på tillit och empati. Syfte: Att belysa sjuksköterskors uppfattning om tvångsåtgärders inverkan på omvårdnadsrelationen.
