Lightning Field in NewMexico, by Walter De Maria, Sun Tunnels inUtah, by Nancy Holt and the Spiral Jetty,also in Utah, by Robert Smithson.The sites where visited from half a day upto 24 hours and was described and analyzedwith text and photographs.To visit these sites has been crucial formy thesis and will affect my future workas a landscape architect. The use of themethod has been a thought of mine for along time, particularly to analyze ordescribe a landscape with images.

I denna studie undersöks en outtalad spänning som framkom under ett samtal med några pedagoger vid ett besök på en skola för elever med diagnosen autism under våren 2013. Pedagogerna förklarade att de ansåg det som svårt att implementera den svenska läroplanen för grundskolan, Lgr 11, i verksamheten samtidigt som de måste ta hänsyn till sina elevers begränsningar som är en följd av deras diagnos. Utifrån pedagogernas perspektiv görs ett försök att, med begreppet ansvar och tankeverktyget ramfaktorteori som analysverktyg, förstå och tydliggöra den outtalade spänningen mellan ramverket Lgr 11 och de villkor som diagnosen autism sätter för pedagogernas planering och utformning av verksamheten. Denna studie är ett nedslag i några pedagogers subjektiva verklighet och deras betraktelse av ett fenomen i deras vardagliga arbete..

This thesis studies the concept of balance in the management control systems (MCS) of a small Swedish company within the IT-sector. The aim is to evaluate the importance of balance and dynamics in MCS and investigate which factors affect them. The frameworks used are Simons (1994) four levers of control, and the five-factor model for balance and dynamics by Mundy (2010). The small IT company - the object of the case study - has grown extensively in the last years and needs to develop more formal MCS without losing efficiency and creativity in their fast-moving industry. The case study reveals that balancing MCS is important also in smaller companies with less formal MCS.

This thesis focus on the presentation of the filmic room the viewer sees in George A. Romero´s three horror classics Night, Dawn and Day of the Dead. The hypothesis goes as follow; fear and element of tension becomes greater if the audience/viewer has a good knowledge about the filmic room in the film, in other words, a good spatial awareness. The conclusion is that it does. The environment is active in its becoming and in its presentation to the viewer.

The harbour in Arvika is closed down and the industry that has been established in the area is now beeing wound up. A deepened comprehensive plan for the area is under progress in the municipality. The intentions are for instance that the harbour should be integrated with the city and that Arvika is facing a lake should be more apparent from the city center. The harbour should also contribute to a more attractive city. These intentions have hence been the starting point of my undergraduate theses, which has resulted in a proposal on how to develop the harbour. During the process I have analysed the city image, how the area is used today and the public places in the city centre.

En förutsättning för att kunna attrahera denna grupp är att veta vad de anser viktigt vid val av arbetsplats.SyfteUppsatsens syfte är att undersöka olika variabler som påverkar arbetsval hos kreativa arbetstagare, med avgränsning till dem som varit eller är anställda vid reklambyråer i Stockholm, samt att undersöka vilka variabler som skulle kunna få denna grupp att överväga att arbeta på en reklambyrå utanför Stockholm.MetodUndersökningen utfördes genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med tolv respondenter, vilka samtliga hade minst två års erfarenhet som strateg eller kreatör vid en reklambyrå i Stockholm samt varit tillgängliga för intervju mellan den 6 november och den 27 december 2007.ResultatResultatet i utredningen beskriver målgruppens uppfattning gällande variabler som påverkar val av arbetsplats. I slutsatserna diskuteras vad utredningens resultat innebär för en reklambyrå som arbetsgivare. Utredningen visar på att det för byråer utanför Stockholm kan bli svårt att rekrytera människor som byggt upp sin karriär i Stockholmsområdet och hunnit rota sig där.

In theory, the management control of maintenance functions is described as problematic due to the nature of the work performed in the unit. The purpose of this thesis is to examine these predicted problems in practice. Further,the thesis aims at identifying how these control problems may affect the relationships between the maintenance department and its internal customers. A case study has been conducted in one of Sweden?s largest industrial companies to investigate the said control problems in practice.

I work on a lighting design for a dance performance to be on tour. A lighting design adapted for three different conditions was made: - One comprehensive where I allow myself a great deal of creative freedom, adapted for the stages with major technical conditions. - One smaller version for stages with less equipment and with less time for preparation on site. - One design for very simple conditions. I also examine the specific differences between typical theatrical lighting design and typical dance lighting design, and the best way to prepare for the hands-on stage design phase..

From a social perspective, I have been working on how to change current consumption patterns through a change in people's behavior and attitude towards their possessions. The concept is based on how we can value, care for, and preserve our belongings by using theories in the empathic design field. I have created a structure that allows people to become an active part of a creative process and create their own products. This degree project was intendet to construct and design packaging for beauty care. At the requestof AssiDomän Frövi the project group were instructed to innovate creative packagesmade of their cardboard Frövi Bright.Three different packages have been developed. Two of them are for child care products and onepackage is for several bath products. These results show that there are possibilities to create creativeand different packages of the cardboard Frövi Bright.The report also enters deeply into the special qualities of Frövi Bright and studies of packagingdesign..

During the spring semester 2012 Robin Westlund has accomplished ?Controlled interaction for more creative meetings - Summit Flexiwall? with the individual focus on social communication based on visual interaction in future office. The project was a part of the course Degree Project for degree of Bachelor of Science in Innovation and Design Engineering (MSGC12) which includes 22,5 ECTS Credits. The course is a part in the program Innovation and Design Engineering program within the Faculty of Technology and Science at Karlstad University.Assigner of the project was Moelven Eurowand AB with their head office in Örebro. The main purpose of this thesis has been to identify and discuss problems connected with the preservation of newspapers in Sweden. Another purpose was to see if the preservation of newspapers has been influenced by the fact that preservation studies in general concerns printed monographs and digital materials. This qualitative study is partly based upon interviews with four librarians experienced in working with newspapers and preservation. The thesis deals with cultural heritage in general and on a more specific level with newspapers where the following questions are dealt with: Why preserve? Who preserves? How to preserve? and What is preserved? Strategies used for preserving newspapers such as paper, microfilming and digitization are described as well as legal deposit, the Swedish microfilming programme and TIDEN, a digitization project of newspapers.
