This final year project is made for Peab Jönköping and its target group is the construction industry. The main focus is the use of unutilized building material in the most economical and environmental-friendly way. Unutilized building material is here defined as material purchased for a construction project that for different reasons not has been used. The most important thing to find out was how much building material considered as being waste is actually useable material, and how much less it costs to use that building material instead of throwing it away.When this information was gathered a proposal on how to efficiently use the unutilized building material instead of wasting it was designed. Costs and incomes were investigated and the proposal suggested a storage area where Peab can store their unused building material.

The purpose of this essay is to study the impact of different factors on corporate capital structure. The factors studied in relation to corporate debt ratio are industry affiliation, size and profitability. The study involves all 252 companies quoted on the Stockholm stock exchange and cover a time period from 2007 to 2011. The result shows that branch affiliation has a significant impact on corporate debt ratios. Regarding size and profitability, however, these factors do not have an evident impact on corporate debt ratios..

During spring 2001 we have been involved with our bachelor thesis at Doberman Digital Agency, an Internet related webdesign company. We have focused our work on the registration process via digital medias such as the Internet. During our workprocess we have been conducting a number of studies and analyses of workrelated materials. Ethnographical methods such as structured interviews and participant observations were primarily used in our work. We also widely used brainstorming in our designprocess.

The purpose of this thesis project is to develop a set of interactive digital solutions designed to enhance the interest and knowledge intake of visitors at Skånes Djurpark (Zoo of Scania) in Höör. The project was carried out in collaboration with Skånes Djurpark and representatives from its visitors. Our thesis is based on academic works in the fields of interaction design, exhibit design and contextual learning. Ethnographical field studies have been conducted at Skånes Djurpark with additional field studies at Tropikariet in Helsingborg, Copenhagen Zoo and Regionmuseet Kristianstad. Existing information signs in Skånes Djurpark are primarily image- and textbased, forcing visitors to divert their attention from the different species of Nordic animals that inhabit the zoological park.

Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) is a further development of the Six Sigma draft to carry through preventing quality measures in developing and designing of new products and processes. With increasing demands on enterprises development processes to be more safety and faster the need of DFSS arise as a product, process and service development concept in the organisations. Design for Six Sigma aims to improve and structure the development process of an organisation and consider the application of the innovation problem solving. The concept aims to leave the structure of the traditional Six Sigma concept and instead, from an innovative perspective, search for new solutions to existing problems. The concept constitute of a toolbox with a lot of quality tools that are divided into phases in a development model.

Co-design är en filosofi som kan tillämpas under en systemutvecklingsprocess. Grundtanken iCo-design är att man ska titta på verkligheten utifrån flera olika perspektiv för att sedan väljadet mest lämpliga perspektivet. Co-design har bara tillämpats under ettsystemutvecklingsprojekt och det är e-Me projektet som genomfördes på Högskolan i Borås.Under e-Me projekt så utgick man från användarna, som då var studenter, och tog, genomworkshops med användarna, fram storyboards och scenarier. Dessa storyboards och scenarierlåg sedan till grund för kravspecifikationen i e-Me. När utvecklarna sedan mottogkravspecifikationen så blev det problem eftersom serierna inte var tillräckligt detaljerade menockså för att utvecklarna inte varit delaktiga i utvecklingen av dem.

The project Design analysis and proposals of plastic screw caps in Australia was performed at Högskolan Dalarna incooperation with University of Western Sydney, Australia. The Swedish company Tetra Pak, in Lund, were assigner forthe project that was performed 2006-2007. The commission was to do a survey about the packages for non-carbonateddrinks in Australia. The bottles had to be plastic, able to open in one step and with focus on the caps.The project has result in design analysis and a new proposal of a plastic screw cap for the Australian market. Sixbottles were choosen and they were all testet on 20 consumers each with a Likert-scale test.

Sandvik IT Services är i behov av en webbportal för hantering och skapande av användbarhetstester av olika programvaror och tjänster. Genom  informella intervjuer angående webbportalens utformning samt en grundläggande studie  i programspråket ASP.NET skaffades förståelse och kunskap kring problemet.  Utifrån informationen skapades först en kravspecifikation där det togs upp skall-  och börkrav för webbportalen. Därefter utvecklades en databasmodell och en  sidstruktur som kontinuerligt under utvecklingen kontrollerades med utvecklare på Sandvik  IT Services för att försäkra sig om att materialet skulle bli användbart.  Med sidstrukturen medföljer även ett förslag på användargränssnitt för de olika  sidorna.

The work with credit scoring does not get influenced by Basel II if the Standardised Approach is chosen.? Banks that?ve early implemented high technological systems in the organization, that small banks normally do, have gotten an easier transition to Basel II.? Basel II will result in a risk adjusted pricing and a more fair credit market.? Internal Ratings-based Approaches is very demanding to develop, but at the same time it?s a more risk sensitive approach.? Pillar 2 results in a more sophisticated work for the small banks.? Denna rapport redovisar för utvecklingen av mobilapplikationen Uppgångsappen. Applikationen, som har utvecklats för iPhone, skapades för att kunna ges ut av företaget Approdites AB. För utvecklingen har Apples riktlinjer följts både för design och programmering, och fokus har legat på att utveckla en applikation som uppfyller Apples krav för att bli godkänd i AppStore. Programmeringsspråket Objective-­C har använts tillsammans med utvecklingsmiljön xCode. Designbeslut har grundats på designprinciper och målet har framförallt varit att utveckla en applikation som ska vara lätt att använda och ha en estetiskt tilltalande grafisk design.

Involving prospective users in a development process is important. This makes it easier to make a more usable product. This thesis is about developing an intranet targeting a school and focus is aimed towards intranet usability.The reader is given knowledge into how to design and implement an intranet using persona. Design and develop by using persona is difficult when there is a group with large variety of knowledge, age and technology interest, so as in this case. Persona although always helps during the development phase because of the strong links to the personas that are created, which gives developers a constant reminder of the end users of the system.The thesis describes how information is collected and processed.

Användningen av Internet har ökat kraftigt de senaste åren och begreppet webbportal har blivit allt vanligare. Syftet med det här arbetet är att undersöka om det är en webbportals design som är det avgörande vid valet av webbportal eller om det är innehållet och tjänsterna. Kanske är det en kombination av design och tjänster som värdesätts högst.I detta arbete utförs en heuristisk utvärdering av ett antal bostadsförvaltningsportaler för att undersöka både eventuella användbarhetsproblem samt hur väl designade portalerna är. I arbetet görs även en enkätundersökning hos ett antal utvalda hyresgäster hos AB Skövdebostäder för att undersöka inställningen till designen av företagets webbplats samt dess innehåll och tjänster.Resultatet visar att webbportalers tjänster är viktigare än designen men att designen inte är helt oviktig. Några generella slutsatser kan dock inte dras av detta arbetes undersökningar eftersom både antalet medverkande portaler och hyresgäster är allt för få..

Due to a growing interest in communication in today?s society the demand for equipment that is used in communication networks increases while the competition between companies that produce this equipment grows. To meet the increasing demand and at the same time having a competitive product development many companies use some effective product design, such as the modular product design. When a modular product design is used it?s good to compare different module configurations for a certain product and to simplify these comparisons some tool can be used.
