The aim of this paper is to look into the occurrence of home schooling by choice in Sweden. It examines the subject of home education in order to provide an informative overview. It also looks into the legal aspects of the matter to see whether freedom of choice is an issue here when it comes to choosing a certain type of teaching for children of compulsory school age. A further purpose is to provide a comparison of home education in Sweden and in other Countries such as the United States, England and Norway. In order to do this we have carried out a secondary analysis of previous research and have also interviewed teachers as well as people with experience of home educating their own children. To accomplish this, we had to look to England for literature and home educating families as home education is a much more common practise in England. The result of this paper strongly indicates that home schooling is not only a legally viable option to traditional schooling, both in Sweden and the other Countries concerned, but that it is also a trend that is expected to increase.

Everything according to the points stated in the so called Washington Consensus. The purpose of this dissertation is to research what impact the Washington Consensus has on the state in terms of power over the market and sovereignty.
Burkaförbud : Rättfärdigad restriktion eller brott mot de grundläggande friheterna och mänskliga rättigheterna?
The fundamental freedoms and human rights is something the Countries, and its citizens, of theEuropean Union more or less take for granted. However, in recent years these rights have become atopic of discussion in the way that a debate about the Islamic headscarves has developed. Thisdebate has resulted in that a number of Countries, including France, have taken legislative measuresto ban clothing that fully covers ones face. Out of these bans a discussion has arisen concerning thefundamental freedoms and human rights. These burqa bans, as it is labeled in the pubic debate, havebeen accused to wrongfully limit the individuals freedoms and human rights. This study therefore has the aim to analyze these burqa bans in relation to the European Union,United Nations and the Council of Europe?s general declarations concerning the fundamentalfreedoms and basic human rights. The main result of this study shows that these bans in fact is not a proportionally restrict in thefundamental freedoms and human rights.
Sambandet mellan bransch och ledarskap : En studie av den amerikanska och svenska TV-produktionsbranschen
AbstractAs a result of globalisation, there are indications that national cultural differences between Countries are becoming increasingly vague. Research shows that industries develop similarities, as a result of the integration between corporations that has followed the internationalisation. The aim of this study was thus to investigate whether different Countries in the same industry can develop similar perceptions regarding what is considered effective leadership. The study also aimed to investigate whether these perceptions can influence how leadership is exercised. The leader qualities that were identified were categorised based on the leadership attributes that were formulated in Project GLOBE.
Det svenska spionaget i Baltikum 1943-1957 : En studie av ett fiasko?
During and after World War II Sweden was spying in the occupied Baltic Countries which had been occupied, from 1943 by Nazi Germany and from 1944 by the Soviet Union. It began in 1943, with the Germans still occupying the Baltic Countries, when Sweden and its intelligence service ?C-byrån? recruited volunteers among the Baltic refugees in Sweden and sent them back to the Countries they had fled from. Many of the Baltic refugees to Sweden were men aged 25-45 so the Swedish intelligence service had a good recruiting source. This started the first period of intelligence operations in the three Baltic Countries.
EU-OPINION I TIDER AV KRIG I EUROPA En kvantitativ studie om hur attityder till EU och europeisk integration f?r?ndrats under krigstid.
In the early morning of February 24th, 2022, Russian troops crossed the border to Ukraine which
started the full-scale war between Ukraine and Russia. Even though the war does not directly
involve the EU or member states of the union, it affects the lives of the European people. While
previous research has established that general attitudes towards the European Union and
European integration has changed in some Countries within the Union since the start of the war,
the question remains how attitudes towards EU and European integration has changed across
EU. A second unanswered question is whether populations in Western and Eastern Europe have
responded differently, leading to a potential divergence or convergence in attitudes. The theory
?Rally around the flag? suggests that an outright war that border to EU will increase support for
the political leadership in EU.
LANDALA Stadsdel i skuggan av det f?rg?ngna
In the post-war era many European Countries were recovering from the ravages of the bombings of
the second world war destroying whole Countries. Sweden being neutral was spared the destruction
of war but instead we demolished almost as much housing all by ourselves. A social program was
modeled to modernize the country and to drag the swedes out of poverty by building one million
apartments in just ten years and demolishing the old, dilapidated working-class neighborhoods. The
traumatic events of the demolition of large areas of both the central and the outskirts of most
Swedish cities is still very much present in the collective memory of people today and the new
modernistic districts are still paying the price of that, more than fifty years later. Today these
modernistic districts are in need of repair, and they are often homes to groups alienated from society
making their reputation even worse.
Veto: En motivanalys av FN:s säkerhetsråds fem permanenta medlemmars agerande i konflikten i Syrien.
Aim: The aim of this study is to analyse the possible motives behind the actions of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council in relation to the conflict in Syria. The background of this aim is the Arab Spring and the protests and violence that have followed the uprising. While, in Libya, the UN Security Council adopted resolutions that allowed sanctions against the Libyan government, no such resolutions have been adopted yet in Syria.Theory: The principal theory of the analysis is Stephen D. Krasner´s theory on sovereignty.Method: I have researched various resolutions and statements done in the Security Council, together with official statements from the actors, through Hadenius´ motive analysis methodology and Gilje & Grimen and Ödmans theories on hermeneutics. Conclusion: The conclusion of the analysis is that there, in the case of Syria and Libya, are two different parties in the Security Council. One that stands for sovereignty and one that stands for intervention.
Sverigedemokraterna i Ronneby : Teorikonsumerande studie med fallet i centrum
With varied electoral success for anti-immigration parties across Western Europe, Sweden is often held as an example where anti-immigration parties have been less successful. This have caught the interest of many scientists around the world and have recently developed theories on a subnational level when testing Sweden?s municipalities, on why they have failed here but not in other Countries. But in the election to 2010, Sweden now joins the rest of the Western-European Countries in having an anti-immigrations party in the parliament. This paper has tested three theories on a Municipality that has shown evident support for the Sweden democrats, both in the local and the national election. This is done with a qualitative approach, made up from interviews with the local established parties.

Musikteori på gymnasiet : En studie om gymnasieelevers inställning till musikteori
The transition from having been under another country?s control to becoming a democratic country can, many times, pose difficulties, which has proven itself to be quite common. Estonia and Moldova?s processes towards a democratic regime are two examples of Countries with varied success in the final transition phase. When the USSR (Soviet union) fell and collapsed in 1991 Estonia was well on their way from having a communistic ruling to a democratic one due to the fact that their democratic work had already begun a few years prior to 1991. After the collapse Estonia continued with their democratic work and in 2004 the country became a EU member state.
Mot mer flexicurity?
Since the 2006 election, the debate surrounding the Swedish labour market policy has intensified. There has been a discussion about a need for change towards a more flexible labour market. An example of this is on the other side of the strait, in neighbouring Denmark. Their flexicurity model, ?the golden triangle?, is characterized by a flexible labour market, generous unemployment benefits and active labour market policies.
En jämförelse av den turkiska och den svenska lärarutbildningen
This is a study, where we have deepened ourselves little more in the Swedish and the Turkish teacher training. We have both looked on the differences and the resemblances. We are also aware about that the essay builds on a small study and a limited material, special when it comes to the Turkish teacher training. Therefore we have drawn our conclusions with big caution. They are examined and preliminary, but we are than however convinced about that.
Den globala uppvärmningen : vad kommer att hända med morgondagens värld?
Mankind faces a serious threat. Its activities, for example the burning of fossil fuels, have led to an enhancement of the greenhouse effect - something that has given rise to a global warming. The climate is becoming warmer, a change that has important effects on the nature as well as for humans and their society. Sea level rising, extreme temperatures are becoming more common, glaciers and other ice caps melt and storms becomes more intense when they appear. The main cause is the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere - carbon dioxide in particular.
