When foreign children first arrive to Sweden, the first contact they get with the local society is through primary school. Therefore, the primary school have the fundamental role to attend the foreign and their families.The teacher plan for primary schools (Lpfö98) make it very clear that children with foreign background are given the full support in their development in a multicultural society. The aim of this report is to investigate how two pre-school teachers and one school Counselors? work with these newly arrived children in preschool to support their integration in the preschool.As the role of the primary school is so vital for children with foreign background in this new society, I would therefore like to take the opportunity to explore and show how meaningful the role is of teachers to integrate these children into the Swedish primary schools.In this report, the theory part is treated based on integration and on the schools suspension to multicultural backgrounds. For this report, I even stress the support of the primary school and how they meet the foreign children and their families.

The purpose of our report was to analyze the effects of youth drug abuse on the families concerned. Youth drug abuse made us wonder about the effects on the family as a whole, of those involved with drug abuse. To answer this question, we decided to employ an empiric study in the form of interviews with four teenagers, five parents and four drug Counselors. Because our intent was to understand rather than try to measure the problems involved, we decided on a qualitative method. Our method built upon semi-structured interviews using open questions, where the interviewees were free to express their own thoughts and opinions.

Skolverket. Ur dessa rapporter framkom bl.a. kritik mot att det idag finns stora skillnader i kvalitet mellan olika kommuner och olika skolor när det gäller skolornas studie- och yrkesvägledning.

Detta examensarbete är en undersökning gjord på studie- och yrkesvägledare på grundskolan. Vi har velat ta reda på om dessa lägger några värderingar inför elevers val till gymnasiet utifrån ett genusperspektiv. Undersökningen är utförd med kvalitativa djupintervjuer med sex olika studie- och yrkesvägledare (tre manliga och tre kvinniga) som är verksamma i sex olika kommuner. Vägledarna har under intervjuerna fått svara på frågor utifrån tre fallbeskrivningar. Dessa fallbeskrivningar består av tre karaktärer som direkt skiljer sig från varandra.

Uppsatsens syfte är att utröna hur vägledarna bemöter den potentiella rollen som förändringsagent gällande elevers studie ? och yrkesval. Undersökningen genomfördes via kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra verksamma vägledare i grundskolan. Resultaten visar att vägledarna anser att kön, klass och etnicitet utgör tydliga påverkansfaktorer i studie- och yrkesvalet. Könstillhörigheten är i många avseenden avgörande för valet av gymnasieutbildning och den indikerar även mängden av efterfrågan på vägledning.
