Detta examensarbete på D-nivå beskriver skapandet av BI-applikationer och analys av treolika BI-system. Projekten har givits av Cederroth International AB som är ett av Sverigesstörsta företag inom dagligvaruhandeln. Uppsatsen ger en inblick i vad BI är och hur BIfungerar i företagsvärlden. Det ges även en stegvis beskrivning i hur en applikation skapasmed hjälp av BI-systemet QlikView och analyser av BI-systemen QlikView, SQL Server 2005och BusinessObjects XI om huruvida dessa uppfyller de funktionella kraven på ett BI-verktyg.Bakgrundsinformation om Cederroth och dess system för affärsdatahantering ges också iuppsatsen.Den BI-applikation som beskrivs i denna uppsats involverar finsk återförsäljningsdata.Stegen från grunddata till färdig applikation beskrivs och förklaras ingående i uppsatsen.Analysen av de tre BI-systemen som därefter gjorts har beskrivits i en del därgrundinformation följs av en analys med hänsyn till de funktionella aspekterna i BI-systemen.Denna analys resulterade i ett likvärdigt resultat för de tre BI-systemen. The global spread of the Internet has enabled busniesses and consumers in all industries to be better informed. Consequently, the buying process has appeared to become different from what tratditional models implies. As the buying behaviour among customers is evolving, selling companies are responding to this change. This thesis evolves around the consequences that the developing relationship between buyer and seller in business-to-business companies has led to. The topic in focus is the buzzword and phenomena "content marketing" with its marketing and selling strategy.

This dissertation is performed at the request of Lagafors AB who develops and manufactures stationery and mobile hygiene solutions for companies in the food- processing industry. The objective of this dissertation is to develop and construct a new, cost efficient cleaning station based on an innovative technology.The technique is based on serially connected dosing pumps which allow the customer to work with concentrated detergents. This leads to serious reduction in the clients use expenses. Two units have been developed with this technique, one that is stationary and one that is mobile.The dissertation has led to good results which resulted in the sale of the first stationary unit of the Lagafors CPU before the end of this dissertation. .

Considering that the price and demand for energy gradually has risen over the past decade and a wider discussion about the human impact on the environment has become increasingly more important and given a clearer role in modern society. This has contributed to increased incentives to reduce the use of fossil fuels and increase the use of renewable energy.The agriculture currently accounts for 20 % of Sweden's total greenhouse gas emissions. A way for an agricultural company like Wapnö AB to reduce their emissions could be to utilize existing renewable energy sources within their own premises.The report's aim is to create an energy audit of Wapnö?s existing energy system and how it changes with a future biogas plant in operation. The energy audit is used to illustrate how the company?s climate footprint could change.

Examensarbetet har utförts under våren 1998 på Mandator Teknik. Bakgrunden till arbetet är att Mandator vill undersöka om möjligheten finns att hantera diverse GIS-funktionalitet i en modul. GIS-modulen ska i första hand kunna användas för analys av bästa vägval och siktanalys. I examensarbetet ingår också en studie av befintliga GIS-verktyg på marknaden. Målet för studien är att finna den/de produkter som lämpar sig bäst för geografisk analys av bästa vägval och siktanalys.

Industrial buildings are increasing all over Sweden. Farmers are building new modern facilities and the government chooses to build new halls to invest i youth sports. Glulam is the most common framework but there are limitations because of the transport. Therefore, there is a need to develop new solutions to increase the use of glulam.The maximum torque in the eaves was found in the frame with a roof pitch of 18 degrees and a wingspan of 25 meters. Using hand calculations according to Eurocode and comparison with the computer software StatCon, the maximum torque, shear force and utilization rate is calculated.

The study describes six upper secondary school students? thoughts of and stories about mentors and mentorship in secondary school. The mentorship has been studied with a hermeneutic approach from a narrative pupil relational perspective, which is influenced by the phenomenological humanity perspective. The aim of this study is to describe a few pupils? life worlds and to try to interpret how they describe and explain their own behavior related to mentorship and their mentors.

Den svenska elmarknaden avreglerades den 1 januari 1996 och handel och produktion med el öppnades upp för konkurrens. Idag fungerar den nordiska elbörsen Nord Pool som den dominerandemarknadsplatsen för all handel med el inom Norden. Varje dag samlas aktörernas bud för utbud och efterfrågan på och systempriset baseras på producenternas marginalkostnader och konsumenternas betalningsvilja. Den internationella marknaden innebär att den gränsöverskridande handeln med el ökar. De nordiska stamnäten är inte dimensionerade för denna omfattande handel vilket ger upphov till flaskhalsar i stamnäten.

Syftet med min uppsats har varit att undersöka hur en romankaraktär kan förstås utifrån två analytiska ramar, intermedialitet och kaosnarration. Undersökningen består utav en inledande registrering av de intermediala elementen, en efterföljande fördjupning och slutligen en kortare, kaosnarratologisk analys där romanen placeras i en passande kontext.  .

The purpose of the house which is the basis of this report is to be able present itself on the market as a relatively cheap and at the same time a climate friendly choice. The house is supposed to be able to be built anywhere in Sweden and the rest of Scandinavia in a short period of time. This puts demand on what kind of heating system the house can have, since not all places have the geographic advantage of being able to use geothermal or district heating. Therefore the heating system choices will only include those that are not limited by their geographic location. The house will be built in modules which only require the groundwork to be done before the house can be erected. In this report "System solutions for plus or passive-housing" a comprehensive literature search has been conducted as well as a number of calculations.

The idea with constructions made out of prefabricated elements is that it should be quick and easy to build as the demands for lower production costs, increased profitability and shorter production times are constantly increasing. High accuracy in measurements and well-balanced tolerances is required to achieve this. The fact that the concrete-elements doesn?t fit and that damage occurs during assembly is a highly topical issue even though we now have methods and systems that make this high-intensity construction possible. Through this report we want to highlight the problems that cause the dimensional and tolerance problems and give suggestions on how to come to terms with these.

Vinstintressets effekter på välfärdstjänsterna är komplicerade att mäta, och om det är positivt eller negativt att vinstdrivande företag tillåts på välfärdsmarknaden är svårt att avgöra. Uppsatsen är en teoretisk analys som med nationalekonomiska teorier strävar efter att undersöka vad som talar för respektive mot vinstdrivande privata välfärdsbolag, dels genom en generell analys och dels med en applicering på skolan. Vinstdrivande företag är ofta effektiva och innovativa, men det är svårt att specificera välfärdstjänster i kontrakt och företagen ges incitament att sänka kvaliteten för att maximera vinsten. Om företagen har möjligheten att påverka vilka som konsumerar deras tjänst finns risk för cream-skimming och segregation..

Due to recent legal enactments regarding carbon dioxide emissions, the car industry is facing higher demands. An effective way of reducing these emissions is to minimize the weight of the vehicle. This thesis constitutes a feasibility study on whether or not it is applicable for the car industry to utilize an inner floor structure comprising composite materials. The principal was the projectSåNätt, in which the main participant was Volvo Cars Corp. In consultation with a reference group, consisting of delegates from the industry and KTH, a specification of requirements was produced.

Utifrån nationalekonomiska teorier om samhällsekonomiska kalkyler och miljö utreds i uppsatsen om det togs tillräcklig hänsyn till miljöaspekter i de två samhällsekonomiska kalkylerna för Botniabanan. Fokus ligger på två miljöaspekter; värdet av intrång i natur och värdet av minskade koldioxidutsläpp till följd av förväntade trafiköverflyttningar, samt kalkylparametern diskonteringsräntan. Diskonteringsräntan har stor inverkan på kalkyler för projekt med långsiktiga effekter. Den första samhällsekonomiska kalkylen gjordes 1996 och hade en nettonuvärdeskvot på 0,54-0,83. Den andra gjordes 2004 till följd av ökade kostnader och hade en nettonuvärdeskvot på noll.
