The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to accomplish an understanding for how librarians purchase fiction literature in public libraries. To answer these questions, we have performed four qualitative interviews with librarians in three Swedish municipalities. We have also performed a smaller document study to give us an overview of the used guidelines at the selected libraries. The results of our survey have been analyzed on the basis of our revised version of Sanna Talja?s model The Interpretative Repertoires of the Music Library.

This thesis is based on a study conducted at the City Library Dynamo in Gothenburg where data have been collected through qualitative interviews with young people aged 15 - 25 years. Our intention was to examine what young people think about the City Library Dynamo as a venue, and how they perceive its activities and functions.In order to compare two different cultural venues for young people, where Dynamo is one, interviews were also conducted at a location other than the library, at Arena 29, a cultural activity house for young people in Gothenburg. Twelve qualitative and semi-structured interviews were conducted in order to collect data which was then transcribed and structured. As a theoretical framework we have used the new model for the public library, developed by Hvenegaard, Jochumsen and Skot-Hansen 2010.Our result shows a thoroughly positive image of the City Library Dynamo, particularly as a meeting and study place. Young people stated that they felt welcome and that the City Library Dynamo was designed and tailored to match their needs.

The subject this thesis will investigate concerns the matter of how political ideologies exist within public libraries with a focus on the democratic ideal. Public libraries are part of the political system and we want to show how political ideologies take their shape in public libraries and the possible consequences of this. With the help of three major political ideologies, liberalism, conservatism and socialism we investigate how the democratic ideals of these ideologies are expressed in documents that describes activities the libraries will and have performed. In order to identify these ideologies we use discourses in cultural policy as a bridge between the investigated documents and the political ideologies. As an analytical tool we have developed a model that describes the relation between text, discourse and ideology which we use in our analysis.

Denna intervjustudie syftar till att belysa behandlares erfarenheter av och uppfattningar om särskilda faktorer som påverkar behandlingsutfall hos ungdomar inom tvångsvården. Syftet innebär även att få kunskap kring hur behandlare resonerar om hur de förhåller sig till olika faktorer i behandlingsarbetet. Studien bygger på en hermeneutisk ståndpunkt och en kvalitativ ansats. Semistrukturerade intervjuer har gjorts med sex behandlare som arbetar inom ungdomsvården. Resultatet har tolkats utifrån teorin om risk- och skyddsfaktorer, behovsprincipen och responsivitetsprincipen.

The study?s purpose was to gain comprehension and knowledge about immigrate women?s vision on benefits respective disadvantages with arranged marriages.The study?s question at issues was:(1) How do the women consider that the ideal marriage is suppose to be?(2) How do the women experience that their vision on marriage has changed in a new culture?(3) How do the women consider that parents reasons, around the choice of a partner at arranged marriages?To be able to answer these questions at issues we used a qualitative method where interviews carried out with four immigrated women from four different countries where Islam is widespread religion. Common for these women is that they all are Muslims and that they come from countries where arranged marriages are practiced. They also have concrete experience of arranged marriages, either through themselves or someone they know.Material from interviews was analysed with a help of patriarchal theory and social constructivism. We have also analysed the material with a theory about culture and a theory about groups.

En arbetsmiljö påverkar alla anställda samtidigt som människor påverkar arbetsplatsen. Man är en del av den samtidigt som man också kan förändra den. Allt det här bidrar till att arbetsmiljö blir ett komplext ämne, kunskaperna men också uppmärksamheten kring arbetsmiljöfrågor har ökat. De senaste årens debatter och diskussioner ledde oss till att skriva den här studien om arbetsmiljön på Högskolan i Borås. Syftet med studien är att beskriva och identifiera hur arbetsmiljöarbetet på Högskolan i Borås är organiserat, kommunicerat samt hur lärarkåren upplever arbetsmiljön.

In part this paper is a contribution to the ongoing Swedish discussion about our public structures. The discussion has picked up speed in the last years thanks to a government backed committee trying to come up with a suggestion to make our public sector more efficient. A big part of the debate is about the independence and work of our municipalities, what they should do, what they shouldn?t do and when the state should step in and take over. I make a theoretical investigation into one of these issues, the one about job creation.

Slutsats: Prissättningen av mobila tjänster präglas av komplexa fenomen och överväganden vilket gör det svårt att penetrera. Beroende på om det är en ny eller befintlig tjänst tillämpar operatören till största del antingen en kostnads- eller marknadsbaserad prissättning där konkurrensen har stor inverkan på priset. Marknadsbaserad prissättning tillämpas i huvudsak när det gäller befintliga tjänster eftersom man då har kunskap om kunden och dennes betalningsvilja. När det gäller nya tjänster använder sig operatören i huvudsak av kostnadsbaserad prissättning eftersom tjänsten genomgår en beslutsprocess om den är lönsam eller inte och om den skall lanseras.

Hur kan då domstolen påverka den institutionella balansen? Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att belysa hur domstolen kan påverka den institutionella balansen och identifiera och diskutera eventuella problemområden relaterat till detta, samt se om det går att förklara domstolens handlande med hjälp av mina valda teorier.Den institutionella balansen, tanken om att en institution inte ska inkräkta på en annans av fördragen tilldelade maktområde, ska övervakas av EG-domstolen. I och med att domstolen samtidigt har tolkningsrätt i förhållande till fördragen innebär detta att den samtidigt kan övervaka och förändra balansen i de situationer där den finner den vara ojämn eller på annat sätt felaktig. Genom att titta på fem domar mellan 1980 och 1997 har jag fastställt några av de förändringar domstolen har gjort i förhållandet mellan institutionerna. Med hjälp av en kombination av neofunktionalism och integration through law-teori har jag sedan kunnat beskriva hur domstolen har kunnat agera så aktivistiskt som den i vissa fall har gjort, samt identifiera några problemområden som kan uppstå i sammanhanget..

I detta examensarbete undersöker jag hur institutionerna inom Samhällsvetenskapliga fakulteten vid Göteborgs universitet arbetar med alumnverksamhet, det vill säga kontakten med före detta studenter. Jag har intervjuat ansvariga för alumnverksamheten på respektive institution, samt fakultetens utbildningsansvarige. Genom detta ställer jag det konkreta arbetet på institutionsnivå och relationen till centrala beslut och riktlinjer. Syftet är att belysa hur institutionerna bedriver alumnverksamhet och relationen till det rektorsbeslut som fattades rörande alumnverksamheten 2005. Resultatet jag fann var att alla institutioner arbetar med alumnverksamhet i någon mån, men i olika grad och på olika sätt även om många likheter finns.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze and propose improvements to the current procedure for cost estimations of purchased maintenance work at Banverket, the Swedish rail administration. This governmental institution is responsible for the procurement of maintenance services for the country?s railroad network through open tenders. Due to the generally low number of contractors, it is particularly necessary to establish accurate cost estimates in order to assess the offers and ensure that a fair price is being paid to the suppliers. Several flaws associated with the current practice are identified and analyzed according to cost accounting theories.

The purpose with the essay is to illuminate four former clients? personal stories about the meeting with the authority in the Swedish welfare system and the institutionalization theywent through. The questions being asked in the essay focus on communication, the relationship concerning power and the former clients attitude towards the institutionalization as a treatment. Four interviews were held with former clients who were institutionalized sometime between the ages of 15-25. The results were then analyzed by theories focusing on communication as a way to gain power and how social interaction may influence the individual attitudes towards authorities.
