This study aims to explore purposes of daily workshops for persons with disabilities. The method used was qualitative interviews. An inductive research strategy was used. Half-structured interviews with six managers of daily workshops were carried out, wherein they expressed their intentions with the daily workshops and the reasons for people to participate. The interviews were analysed with Antonovsky´s salutogenetic perspective, in which Sense of Coherence, SOC is a main concept, and with the normalisation principle.

Att bli frihetsberövad är något många har åsikter om men som få har erfarenhet av. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur intagna påverkas av att vara frihetsberövade under en längre tid samt vilka konsekvenser det kan medföra. Fokus riktas mot hur tiden i anstalten har påverkat dem själva, deras relationer med anhöriga, hur de tänker kring sin kommande frigivning och framtidsplaner samt hur de upplever att samhället och media framställer människor som blivit dömda till fängelse. I studien har en kvalitativ metod använts med en narrativ utgångspunkt och semistrukturerade intervjuer har genomförts. De intagnas berättelser analyseras med hjälp av utvalda teorier och tidigare forskning.

Prevalensen för kronisk smärta ökar med stigande ålder. För äldre som ofta har flera samtidigt förekommande sjukdomar kan smärttillståndet bli det som begränsar den dagliga livsföringen och aktivitetsnivån. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur kronisk smärta påverkar livskvalitén för äldre, granska effekten av olika behandlingsmetoder, samt hur äldre hanterar kronisk muskoloskelettal smärta. Studien är en litteraturstudie och litteratursökningen gjordes i databaserna Academic Search, Amed, Pubmed, Cinahl samt PsychINFO. Granskningen av 21 artiklar ingår i litteraturstudien.

This Master Thesis within Marketing and Strategy investigates the values customers perceive within the Real Estate market in the inner City of Stockholm. The dependent variable is customer satisfaction, and it could be explained by 1) the feeling of light and uniqueness of the apartment, 2) that the apartment is of a satisfying size, 3) the address of the apartment, 4) and the economics, the common areas of the building, and the bidding process. The feeling of light and uniqueness, combined with the number of square meters, and the monthly fee of the apartment, are also identified as the price driven functions of this market. Det psykosociala omvårdnadsbehovet kan vara stort hos kvinnor med bröstcancer. Syftet med studien var att belysa faktorer som påverkar omvårdnaden av kvinnliga bröstcancerpatienter ur ett psykosocialt perspektiv. I litteraturstudien bearbetades tio vetenskapliga artiklar utifrån detta syfte. Resultatet belyste vikten av självhjälp och psykosocialt stöd från närstående i form av coping-strategier samt kommunikation och bemötande. Det belyste även det professionella stödets betydelse genom kommunikation och bemötande samt vikten av ett holistiskt och personcentrerat engagemang.

Objektorienterade mönster och omkonstruktion är två olika designstrategier som har ett gemensamt mål: att göra mjukvarusystem mer förändringsbara och mindre komplexa. Mönster tillämpas för att förebygga utvecklingen av komplexitet i mjukvara. Omkonstruktioner görs för att reducera komplexitet som redan uppstått i mjukvarans inre struktur. Denna rapport identifierar fyra grundläggande strukturproblem som gör mjukvara onödigt komplex och svår att förändra: duplicerad kod, villkorslogik, långa metoder och bristande inkapsling. Rapporten visar hur objektorienterade mönster kan införas i mjukvara genom omkonstruktion och göra mjukvara mer förändringsbar genom att reducera de fyra nämnda strukturproblemen.

In addition to all our soldiers and officers who do military services abroad there are a lot of people who are affected by their choice to contribute, namely their next of kin. This report deals only with those who are next of kin to those who perform service abroad. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relatives' need for emotional and social support as well as practical and economical support. The main question is What kind of practical/economical and emotional/social support do close relatives require when a relative does military service abroad? The method used in this paper is a qualitative research interview.

During the twentieth century, mergers&aquisitions have occured in waves where times of low activityfrequently has turned into periods of high activity. M&A:s have been of increasing numbers and growing size, which was extra evident during the last wave during the 1990:s. What are the motives that has made M&A such a widely used strategy? Are there similarities within and across industries regarding merger motives? The empirical material consists of primary and secundary data collected from two mergers in three industries respectively; manufacturing, banking and IT. The analysis make use of three different perspectives, the reason for this being to create understanding and furthermore illuminate the complexity of the problem.

The purpose of this essay is to examine how officials within the Swedish public libraryorganisation view the IT-development, how the IT-development progresses within theorganisation and if there is a need for a national IT-strategy for the public libraries in Sweden.Four unorganized interviews with officials within the regional- and county libraryorganisation and one within the national organisation where conducted. This study is aqualitative examination where the phenomenographic approach has been used as inspirationfor the analytic model. The analytic result has been compared to the system theory of how anoptimal system should be constructed to perform in an optimal way and to be able to producegood results. This was performed by measuring the outcomes cortisol, testosterone, creatine kinase as well as different measures of muscle strength. This paper studies how peer assessment is used as a strategy to improve young learners' results in Swedish as a school subject. Nine teachers are interviewed about their use of the method on 7-12-year-old pupils. Comparisons are made between the interviews and Swedish and international discussion on peer assessment. There are similarities between the practice of the teachers and what is said in the litterature about the method and its advantages and drawbacks. The teachers tend to emphasize the social aspects more, though.

Syftet med studien är att skapa en djupare förståelse kring innovationsförmågan hos flygbolaget Ryanair och undersöka vilka innovationsstrategier de har tillämpat för att positionera sig på den europeiska marknaden. I denna uppsats använder vi oss utav en kvalitativ metod och har valt ut tre informanter via ett bekvämlighetsurval. Det insamlade materialet från informanterna har transkriberats och vi har valt att använda selektiva citat för att bygga upp större delar av empirin. En abduktiv ansats har tillämpats vid insamling av primärdata och sekundärdata för att besvara vår forskningsfråga. Studiens undersökning verifierar att Ryanair är ett innovativt flygbolag och har tillämpat ett innovativt tänk i sina strategier för att bli ett framgångsrikt och lönsamt flygbolag.

The main question in this thesis has been to see how the brand strategy of Linköpings Hockey Club has changed during the years in the Swedish elite league. We will also look at the content of the brand, as well as the association as the city of Linköping. This thesis will also see the sponsorship view of the development of the brand, because of the sponsorship power to help the association to build and strengthen the brand.We have been interviewing important persons at the association Linköpings Hockey Club and also done interviews with a few sponsorship partners to get important information to analyze.As an association it is of outmost importance to disseminate the association?s image in the right way, which Linköpings Hockey Club has according to their sponsorship partners. The association has during the last years been working hard to take care of and strengthen the brand, which can be seen among the sponsorship partners.

Frågeställningarna som skulle besvaras var hur deltagandet i åtgärden påverkade individernas uppfattning om den egna förmågan och hur de upplevde sambandet mellan åtgärden och det egna arbetet.

The purpose of this study is to establish whether or not there is a connection between a highincidence of computer gaming and English proficiency in Swedish 9th-graders. The study also takescomputer game genres into account, attempting to see if there is a link between frequent playing ofcertain genres and high English grades.According to this study, there is a clear correlation between the gaming habits of Swedish 9thgradersand the grades they receive in English, with a higher frequency of gaming corresponding toa higher grade.
