The purpose of the study is to examine, describe and analyse how a selection of parents to children with Asperger syndrome understand, experience and cope with their parenthood. To attain this purpose we focused on these following questions;How does the respondents view their parenthood?; What kind of strategies does the respondents use to cope with their parenthood on the basis on their child with Asperger syndrome?; How does the respondents experience the mesosystem interact with them regarding situations contenting strenuous and stress?We chose to do a qualitative study by conducting separate interviews with eight parents to children with Asperger syndrome. Then we analyzed the answers using an abductive research, we tested the empirical data against our choice of theoretical perspectives. The results shows; that several of the parents in the study have experiences of high strenuous and stress in combination the several roles their parenthood contained.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka skillnader i stress, återhämtning samt coping hos individer som genomfört tävlingsinriktad diet jämfört med de som dietat av icke-tävlingsmässiga skäl. 86 individer (64 män och 21 kvinnor) deltog där medelåldern var 25. Metoden i studien var kvantitativ och bestod av ett tredelat formulär innehållandes de svensköversatta instrumenten Recovery-Stress Questionnaire for Athletes (RESTQ-Sport) (Kellmann & Kallus, 2001) och Brief COPE (Muhonen & Torkelson, 2005), samt ett egenkomponerat formulär där informanterna fick kategorisera sig som en av tre diettyper: I) Bodybuilding (BB, n=26), Annat tävlingssammanhang (AT, n=32) samt Icke-tävlingssammanhang (IT, n=28). Resultatet visade en statistisk skillnad i stress mellan de olika diettyperna, där BB upplevde mer stress jämfört med IT, samt att BB upplevde mer av stressdelskalan utmattning än IT. De implikationer som framhävts har riktat sig mot att sprida en bättre förståelse för återhämtning hos dietister inom allmänvård likväl som dietcoacher inom bodybuilding..

Syfte Syftet med den här studien var att undersöka förekomst av prestationsbaserad självkänsla (PBS) hos unga manliga ishockeyspelare samt vilka coping-strategier de använder sig av i idrottsliga situationer de upplever utmanande och stressande. Detta för att undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan PBS och olika coping-strategier samt om det finns ett samband mellan de olika strategierna inom coping.MetodGenom en kvantitativ ansats användes två enkäter i studien. En enkät undersökte grad av prestationsbaserad självkänsla och den andra enkäten mätte val av coping-strategier inför en utmanande och stressande situation. Enkäterna delades ut till två olika hockeyföreningar. De 65 enkäterna som kom tillbaka fördes sedan in i Statistica för analys.

Syftet med den befintliga studien var att undersöka mindfulness och dess koppling till idrottsprestation genom att undersöka sambanden mellan dispositionell mindfulness, påverkansmekanismer (klarsynthet, ältande och negativ emotionsreglering), psykologiska färdigheter (motivation, coping, emotionell kontroll och motoriska färdigheter) och prestation med utgångspunkt från Birrer, Morgan och Röthlin?s (2012) modell. Som underlag för studienanvändes en enkät som sammanlagt 242 idrottare besvarade. Medelåldern var 18,42 år (SD=0,26) varav 69 kvinnor och 172 män. Korrelationsanalyser och regressionsanalyser visade att det fanns signifikanta samband mellan dispositionell mindfulness,  påverkansmekanismer och psykologiska färdigheter.
