Stress är idag ett stort samhällsproblem. Enligt arbetsmiljöverket är stress en av de vanligaste orsakerna till sjukskrivningar i Sverige. Projektarbetsformen domineras av tidspress, osäkerheter och höga krav på projektledaren. Arbetsmiljön inom projekt är dessutom ständigt föränderlig. Dessa faktorer kan leda till upplevd stress hos individer, och arbete inom projekt kan således anses vara en potentiell källa till stress.

In this thesis my purpose is to study the mechanisms and discourses that are the foundations for identification processes, in a contemporary society characterised by increased mobility. By means of a fictitious life history, I relate to this problem constantly through the work. At the beginning of the essay I discuss the traditional, western, philosophical view of the self and its surroundings, which eventually leads me to focus on the theories of the sociology of knowledge. From this perspective I choose to examine globalisation processes and mobility, to create an understanding of how these two, changes the circumstances for the individual identification. In my concluding argument I stress that all research or all studies concerning identification processes must take into account that these identifications always take place with regard to time/place which also means, that it takes place both in real space and in imaginary space.

Det specifika syftet ?r unders?ka vilka k?nslor och tankar som uppst?r bland l?rare vid misstankar om v?ldsutsatta barn. Teori: Teorierna som vi valt att analysera materialet utifr?n ?r emotion management, emotional labour, feeling rules och communities of coping. Metod: Studien har genomf?rts med en kvalitativ metod. Vi genomf?rde semistrukturerade intervjuer med sju l?rare verksamma i l?g- och mellanstadiet i G?teborg stad f?r att unders?ka vilka k?nslor och tankar som uppst?r hos dem vid misstankar om v?ldsutsatta barn. Resultat: Huvudresultaten av studien ?r att l?rare anv?nder sig av emotionella strategier vid misstankar om v?ldsutsatta barn.

Fetma ökar världen över och likaså gör antalet gastric bypass- operationer. Syftet med en gastric bypass- operation är att åstadkomma en viktminskning genom en förminskning av magsäcken, vilket resulterar i minskad hungerkänsla och reducerat matintag. Ett centralt mål inom överviktskirurgi är en ökad livskvalité. Det är därför betydelsefullt att se behandlingen som en helhet och att inte iaktta viktminskning som den enda betydande faktorn.Syftet i denna studie var att beskriva hur personer som genomgår en gastric bypass-operation hanterar situationen före och efter operationen. Studien är induktiv och utgår ifrån en kvalitativ ansats och baseras på en manifest analys utifrån textens innehåll ur sex bloggar skrivna av personer som genomgått en gastric bypass-operation.

Syfte: Att undersöka vad personer med cancer skriver i bloggar om sina upplevelser av sin sjukdomssituation och sitt bloggande. Metod: Deskriptiv kvalitativ studie omfattande tio bloggar. Strategiskt och maximalt varierat urval gällande kön, ålder, cancerdiagnos samt bot­barhet. Bloggsökning genom­fördes i sökmotorn Google. Datainsamling skedde med egenutvecklad granskningsguide omfattande två huvudfrågor med delfrågor.

The notion of door policy has received little academic investigation. In the media this phenomenon has however received much attention and has been connected to allegations of discrimination. The authors of this thesis take another view in trying to identify the mechanisms behind door policy from an economic perspective.Based on case studies in nightclubs in Stockholm the authors conclude that there are two types of door policy: including and excluding. While including door policy aims to comply with regulations and commonly is part of a cost-leadership or focus strategy, excluding door policy is primarily a tool for attracting and selecting a certain audience in line with a product differentiation strategy. It thrives on the principles of exclusivity and reciprocity.Forming the identity of a club, audience is of great importance and excluding door policy is found to be an important tool in creating the correct composition of audience, which ultimately aims to increase profitability..

Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva hur sjuksköterskor upplevde omvårdanden av patienter med psykos inom psykiatrisk öppen- samt slutenvård. Bakgrund: Allmänheten har än idag en negativ och felaktig bild av psykisk sjukdom samt psykiatrisk vård. Att vårda personer med psykos skiljer sig från arbetet med somatiska sjukdomar. Metod: En litteraturstudie genomfördes vilken baserades vetenskapliga artiklar som sökts i databaserna Cinahl och PsykInfo. Resultat: Omvårdnaden av patienter med psykos upplevdes som oförutsägbart vilket krävde ständig beredskap och mycket tålamod.

The purchasing of management consulting services has traditionally been characterized by informal and relation based interaction. However, case studies have shown that there is a movement towards more formalized and structured purchasing procedures among buyers of management consulting services. The purpose of this study is to investigate the prevalence and the implications of this professionalization. To investigate to what extent certain mechanisms of professionalization have been implemented on the Swedish market, a survey directed to Sweden?s 500 largest companies was conducted.

My essay is an investigation of American Psychos Patrick Bateman. Why is Patrick Batemans identity one so easily described as shallow and superficial? I discuss theese questions from a marxists point of view putting Bateman in the context of Georg Lukács theories of reification. I compare the structure of Patrick Batemans identity with the idea of an reified identity to se how the mechanisms of reification creates the entity that is Patrick Bateman.My conclusion is that one answer to Batemans shallowness is the phenomenon of reification. To get a grasp of how shallowness might be understood I combine the theories of Lukács with Bakhtins idea of the aouthorative discourse.If one look upon reification as an aouthorative discourse and one also presume that human existence is social and verbal the conclusion is that Patrick Bateman cannot exist because of what he is an example of.

Tolerance and resistance are two different defence mechanisms within the immune system that differ from each other in many ways: However it is not clear which of the two is the most advantageous in dairy production. Resistance is described as the ability to fight a pathogen in a host. Tolerance is, on the other hand, not aggressive to the pathogen per se, but rather protects the host and its tissues. Furthermore tolerance rather offsets the toxin from, for example, a parasite whilst resistance offsets the parasite itself. Resistance is however disease specific, which means breeding for a large number of diseases is needed in order to make resistance worth the cost for the host.

Bakgrund: Inom sjuksköterskeprofessionen är döden en oundviklig företeelse och omhändertagandet av patienter i det palliativa skedet är en del av yrket. Döden väcker också starka känslor som kan vara svåra för sjuksköterskan att hantera, vilket kan resultera i emotionell stress. Att vårda barn i livets slutskede medför att sjuksköterskan ställs inför flera emotionella utmaningar, vilket leder till att denne måste finna strategier för att hantera de uppkomna känslorna. Syfte: Att beskriva sjuksköterskors strategier för att hantera känslomässig stress vid omvårdad av svårt sjuka barn i livets slutskede. Metod: Systematisk litteraturöversikt av tolv vetenskapliga artiklar med kvalitativ ansats.

 Betydelsen av mediekonsumtion innehållande ideal/utseendefokus och olika psykologiska mekanismer för kroppsuppfattning studerades genom en enkätundersökning. Urvalet bestod av 331 svenska unga kvinnor och män. För kvinnor fanns ett svagt positivt samband mellan mediekonsumtion och positiv kroppsuppfattning. BMI var en tredjevariabel alternativt en mediator i detta samband. Selektiv exponeringsteori föreslås som en förklaringsmodell för att förstå dessa resultat.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how salesperson control can be exercised in a retail store environment. A case study has been performed on a Swedish fashion company emphasizing the relationship between the company?s upper level management and their retail store operations in order to describe, analyze and classify the prevailing management control mechanisms. The paper presents an agency theoretical approach to the relationship applying behavior- and outcome based control theory, performance measurement theory and incentives theory in order to give a comprehensive image of the control system. The main finding is that the company?s management control system as applied to the sales force in its retail stores can be categorized as mainly behavior-based despite several explicit outcome-based features..

Syftet med föreliggande studie är att kartlägga och analysera pappors psykiska hälsa samt val av stress- och copingstrategier i samband med att deras barn insjuknat i långvarig kronisk sjukdom. Jag avser att göra jämförelser mellan papporna för att se om det finns skillnader i användandet av copingstrategier beroende på när sjukdomen uppträder, barnets ålder, pappornas utbildningsnivå, etnicitet osv. Mitt intresse är också att undersöka om dessa pappor känner sig nedstämda eller deprimerade utifrån att deras barn är sjukt eller om det finns andra faktorer som påverkar pappornas psykiska hälsa. Totalpopulationen bestod av 120 pappor till barn och ungdomar (födda 89- 06) diagnostiserade med inflammatoriska mag- tarmsjukdomar. 52 pappor deltog i studien.
