Vi möter i denna uppsats kvinnor som successivt förändrar vår bild av det dubbla straffet, som komplicerar vår uppfattning om ett liv i missbruksberoende och livet på kvinnoanstalt, men som också förenklar föreställningen om den djupa kärleken de hyser för sina barn. Eftersom dessa mödrar har arbetat en hel del med sig själva och tagit sig ur långa perioder av beroende har vi fått känna av den kraft som lösgörs då en människa verkar inom någonting hon brinner för. Att hjälpa andra och att tillåta sig själv att ta emot hjälp har guidat denna berättelse kring människans förmåga att resa sig och gå vidare. Det faktum att kärleken tycks verka sida vid sida med den skuldtyngda problematiken har väckt vårt intresse och diskuteras genom texten som en löpande röd tråd. Genom att låta de individuella känslorna möta sociologiska teorier vidgas perspektivet till en vinkel som berör såväl makro som mikronivå i samhället.

The purpose of this study was to investigate and expand the knowledge of how bereaved spouses in palliative care handled their grief. Attempts were also made to distinguish common patterns among the experiences that the bereaved spouses expressed.  Furthermore the study aimed to understand how the bereaved spouses handled their grief, and to understand what helped them to move on. A qualitative method was used in this essay, related to the purpose of investigating the spouses? emotional experiences. The questions used to reach an understanding of the matter were: How did the bereaved experienced their grief? Were there important contributing factors worsening their grief or making it easier? How did the bereaved persons handle their grief, and what helped them to work things through and carry on with their lives? The result was analyzed by using Antonovsky?s theory; a feeling of coherence, Lazarus? coping theory combined with Folkman?s revised coping theory.

The construction of an identity among lesbian women during 1950-­?1965 is in focus in this master ?s thesis. My starting point is that identity, such as lesbian or any other identity, is formed in relation to other people and groups, as well as society. This thesis will also examine how lesbian women met and formed bonds with like-­minded, and whether these aspects changed, during the defined time period. The empirics is made up by letters written by women to Riksfo?rbundet fo?r sexuellt likabera?ttigande (a Swedish organisation for lesbian and gays) as well as an interview with two lesbian women who were born in 1938 and 1940.

Bakgrund: De svenska företagens lånebaserade finansiering har historiskt sett mestadels utgjorts av banklån framför företagsobligationer. Efter finanskrisens start 2008, och fram till och med fjärde kvartalet år 2012, har den svenska företagsobligationsmarknaden vuxit med drygt 60 procent. I media framställs en bild där regelverket Basel III har gjort och kommer göra företagsobligationsmarknaden till en viktigare finansieringskälla för svenska företag. En studie om företagsobligationsmarknaden efterfrågas av Svenskt Näringsliv.Syfte: Syftet med studien är att kartlägga och utifrån institutionell teori analysera hur de ekonomiska förutsättningarna för den svenska företagsobligationsmarknaden har förändrats sedan år 2008.Genomförande: För att uppnå studiens syfte har ett kvalitativt tillvägagångssätt tillämpats. Empirin har samlats in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med aktörer på företagsobligationsmarknaden.

This thesis will deal with the development of the situation of the Roma minority in the Swedish school system in the period between 1954 to 2010, based on two Swedish Government Official Reports of the group's situation in the Swedish schools. The study is done by the report Zigenarfrågan (SOU 1956:43) and with the report Romers rätt (SOU 2010:55). The report Romers rätt was written by the Delegation for Roma issues and gives an updated picture of the situation of Roma in the Swedish school system. The state investigation Zigenarfrågan, is also important as the latter resulted in the Roma children enrolled in Swedish schools. This work will look at the various governmental investigations by the theory used for analysis called ?structural discrimination theory?.

This thesis explores how the city of Gothenburg integrates and use social capital, defined through factors such as trust and cooperative networks, in its crisis preparedness strategies and how this can enhance the city's collective resilience. The study aims to contribute to the understanding of how social capital can be leveraged to strengthen crisis management and resilience in urban environments. The research analyzes existing quantitative data from the SOM-Institute regarding residents perceptions and self-reported preparedness actions and reviews Gothenburg's official civil defense plan for 2024?2027. By examining various aspects of social capital, including levels of trust and cooperative networks across different city districts and age groups, the analysis focuses on how social bonds and community contexts are considered in planning for handling and recovering from potential crises.

Bakgrund: Sedan introduktionen i början av 1990-talet har utvecklingen av volymen nyemitterade aktieindexobligationerna totalt sett varit positiv vilket tyder på att produkten blivit en populär sparform hos svenskar. Detta tillsammans med det faktum att det finns få studier gjorda kring aktieindexobligationer som sparform där ett större perspektiv tas i beaktande gör ämnet intressant att studera.Syfte: Uppsatsens syfte är att kartlägga och analysera för vilka privata investerare aktieindexobligationer passar som sparform ur ett livscykelperspektiv med utgångspunkt i (i) bransch- och rådgivningspraxis, (ii) finansiell riskhanteringsteori med fokus på portföljvalsteori och (iii) historisk data avseende risk och avkastning.Genomförande: Studien har genomförts med hjälp av att intervjua privatrådgivare, kapitalrådgivare och personer som arbetar med strukturerade produkter på storbanker och hos mindre finansiella aktörer. Fem stereotyper har använts som diskussionsunderlag vid intervjuerna. För att kunna föra en djupare analys kring produkten som sparform för privata investerare har en portföljoptimering genomförts för att ta historisk data gällande risk och avkastning i beaktande.Slutsats: Studien fastställer att produkten passar privata investerare som befinner sig i den senare delen av konsolideringsfasen och inte är de mest riskbenägna. Studien visar att det främst är kredit- och marknadsrisken som är kopplade till aktieindexobligationer samtidigt som risken i produkten bedöms som låg.

We have gathered theempirical information trough interviews with main leaders within chosenorganizations that use social media tools on an every day basis.

It is important to know what is normal in the wound healing process in order to determine what happens when a wound does not heal as expected. If the amount of bacteria in the wound gets too large the body will not be able to defend itself and it becomes an infection. Colonization and infection are common elements in wound management and it is often the veterinary nurse role to deal with wounds in a proper manner. Antibiotics are drugs that either kill or inhibit the multiplication of bacteria or fungi, and have been in veterinary medicine for approximately 60 years. Very few new antibiotics are introduced and increased resistance is a major problem that requires everyone to take responsibility to reduce the use of it.

The aim of this study is to have a deeper understanding about the motivations and the obstacles of an immigrant?s language learning. I have studied the problem with focus on integration and language learning. The study is principally based on deep interviews with Turkish immigrants. I have studied the question by means of a socio-cultural perspective of learning; Mead?s conceptions I, Me and the generalised other; Scheff?s conception, the social bonds and Freire?s conception, dialog and Asplund?s conception social responsiveness.

AbstractThis bachelor thesis has been assigned by the company ACG Nyström, Borås. ACG Nyström is working in cooperation with a Swiss company named Jentschmann AG. Jentschmann is a manufacturer of ultra sonic welding machines which ACG Nyström is marketing in Scandinavia and the Baltic States. On behalf of Jentschmann AG the company has the aim to introduce the ultra sonic welding technique to new companies.The aim of this thesis is to compare traditional sewing machines with ultra sonic welding machines within two textile areas, protective clothing and outdoor living.Two investigative questions have been formulated for this purpose: what are the differences between a sewing machine and an ultra sonic welding machine? Is it possible to replace the sewing technology with ultra sonic welding? These stand as guidance for this paper.To gather knowledge interviews, literature studies, and tests on two different ultra sonic welding machines were performed.

This study is about trust for public institutions and what the foundation is that builds this confidence. For this study I have used three dependent variables to define different aspects of public institutions. These are trust in the legal system, trust in political parties and state of health services nowadays.  The method that is used in the study is based on a comparative study between two countries, Sweden and Portugal.  The actual result is made up by comparing means and regressions by using 13 independent variables. Many of the independent variables that has been used is deriving from institutional theories of Putnam and Rothstein These theories points out the importance of strong traditions of civic engagement and that the success of the trust of the institutions depends in large part on the horizontal bonds that make up social capital.

Denna uppsats tar sin början i ett intresse av att studera ungdomars konstituerande av identitet. Vi valde att utföra vår studie i Rädda Barnens projekt Ellen & allan som arrangerar samtalsgrupper med en normkritisk agenda för ungdomar i 14-års ålder. Syftet är att genom en kvalitativ studie skapa förståelse för hur ungdomarna som deltar i Ellen & allan konstituerar en maskulin respektive feminin identitet, samt betydelsen av ungdomarnas sociala relationer för detta konstituerande. Studiens omfattning utgörs av tre intervjuer med projektledare och samtalsledare för projektet och av sex timmars observation vid fyra separata tillfällen i en Ellengrupp och i en allangrupp. Intervjuerna bidrog till kunskap om projektet som förberedde oss och skapade ett tydligt fokus inför vårt möte med fältet. Intervjuerna var utformade på ett sådant sätt att de kom att generera material som korrelerade med våra observationsdata. Från vår analys av intervjuer och observationer drar vi slutsatsen att ungdomarnas behov av att skapa och upprätthålla sociala relationer leder till en konformitet inom samtalsgrupperna som bidrar till att ungdomarnas konstituerande av maskulin respektive feminin identitet görs med ursprung i en maskulin heterosexuell hegemoni.

The purpose of this study is to hightlight experiences of living in a relationship where BDSM is being exercised. The acronym is an umbrella term for bondage/discipline, dominance/submission and sadomasochism. The study is based on qualitative interviews with five persons who define themselves as BDSM practitioners. The overall questions of this study are: How does the BDSM practice appear in everyday life? How did the practice start and how has it developed over time? What's included in the sexual BDSM practice? The empirical material has been analyzed with interactionism as the theoritical framework. The picture that emerges is complex.

Behovet av produktplaceringssamarbeten ökar eftersom traditionell reklam minskar i effektivitet samtidigt som filmproduktioner kräver större budgetar. Bondfilmer har lockat publik i 50 år vilket gör det möjligt att studera relationen mellan filmernas karaktär och produktplaceringar ur ett historiskt perspektiv. Materialet består av den första filmen Dr. No (1962) samt den senaste filmen Skyfall (2012). Semiotiska analyser görs av scener med framträdande produktplaceringar.
