Heart failure is a condition where the heart is incapable of providing adequate blood supply to different organs in the body. The underlying causes of heart failure is some kind of disorder in the heart function, and require careful diagnostics. The basic symptoms that arise from heart failure is difficulty in breathing, that aggravate when lying down, and fatigue. The patients? symptoms and impaired quality of life can be in different stages depending on the severity of the heart failure.

Syfte och frågeställningar Syftet med uppsatsen är att belysa barns föreställningar om alkohol och dess påverkan. Frågeställningar: Vilka tankar har barn om alkohol? Finns det några genomgående teman och trender i barnens föreställningar om alkohol? Hur beskriver barn alkohol och människors beteende i samband med alkohol? Metod Denna studie har utförts med kvalitativa intervjuer som metod. Femton barn i årskurs två, samtliga åtta år, har intervjuats efter godkännande från målsman, klassföreståndare och rektor. Urvalet var inriktat på åttaåringar i en klass och gjordes i samarbete med klassföreståndaren samt efter vilka som fick godkännande av målsman. Förutom ålder fanns inga andra kriterier. Intervjuerna var semistrukturerade men de utgick dock från samma frågemall.

Inequality within organizations is a problem also for the society as a whole since who is chosen for a position is not depended upon merits, leading to inefficiency. To not reflect upon traditional division of labor and decision-making could also lead to an undemocratic and unjust society. The aim of this thesis is to explore women and men?s engagement a family business in an agricultural setting. Gender theorists argue that gender arises from the social situation in society.

Följande uppsats studerar föräldraaktiv inskolning som forskningsobjekt, en relativt nyutvecklad modell för inskolning som fått fotfäste bland flera av landets kommuner och förskolor. Modellen innebär kortfattat att barnet i gemenskap med sin förälder deltar i samtliga rutiner på förskolan under tre heldagar. Förälderns uppgift är att introducera den nya verksamheten för sitt barn, pedagogen antar därmed en mer passiv roll i inskolningen. Den fjärde dagen sker den första separationen mellan barn och förälder som innebär ett kort och tydligt avsked, därefter anses inskolningen avslutad.Forskning angående modellen är bristfällig, i media hörs dock både positiva och negativa röster. Pedagoger som praktiserat föräldraaktiv inskolning talar gott om modellen och visar på flera fördelar medan kritik mot modellen riktas utifrån ett anknytningsteoretiskt perspektiv.

Wastewater treatment is increasingly controlled by the Swedish environmental quality objectives, adopted by the Swedish parliament. There is a need for a sewage system that can fulfill stringent requirements concerning the environment, recycling and resource use and hygiene. Additional environmental aspects in recent years are the impact of climate change, new knowledge about the effects of pharmaceuticals in water, the need for improved wastewater treatment and increased recycling of nutrients to agriculture. This report has, from a future scenario of the year 2050, analyzed seven different systems for wastewater treatment and treatment of compostable biowaste from households in Eskilstuna. A future scenario was chosen based on that within a forty year period new challenges may arise which can result in higher demands on sewage treatment than those we see today. Another reason why the future scenario was established is that changes in wastewater treatment systems are slow to establish. The analysis is mainly focused on the economical aspects but environmental aspects such as emissions to receiving waters and potential recycling of plant nutrients has also been evaluated briefly.

The purpose of this study is to perform both a quantitative and language philosophical analysis of the folksono-my and the tags in the Stockholm public library catalogue, which together with the Umeå university folksonomy, and the folksonomy of the Norrköping public library are the only library folksonomies in Sweden.The purpose of the first part of the study is to perform an analysis of the linguistical structure of the tags in the folksonomy. To do this a quantitative analysis has been conducted to grammatically categorize and evaluate tags using a method based on Louise Spiteri?s article ?The structure and form of folksonomy tags: the road to the public library catalogue? and the SAO guidelines. This part of the analysis aims to answer questions like: what characteristics do the tags in the folksonomy have and in what ways do they separate themselves from subject headings in a controlled vocabulary? Tags were here categorized according to grammatical properties like parts of speech and their social and private characteristics.

Probiotics are beneficial for the bacterial profile in the intestine and it is therefore of interest to study if they through their anti-inflammatory effect could prevent atopic dermatitis.Objective The aim was to study whether administration of probiotics to the mother and the child (directly or via breast milk) could prevent atopic dermatitis in children with high risk profile (at least one first degree relative with a diagnosed allergic disease).Search strategy A systematic literature search was done in databases PubMed and Scopus with search terms maternal, prenatal, probiotics, allergy, atopic dermatitis, prevention, and children.Selection criteria Randomized, controlled human studies and original articles in English were included.

The stability of railway embankment is essential for safe transport. In order to ensure safe transport, water should be allowed to freely drain. Furthermore, as the engine driver has to be able to see signs, and people working on the embankment are supposed to easily see flaws on the rails to ensure safety for the passing trains, plants should not be allowed to grow on the embankment. In Sweden there are 12 000 kilometers of railway tracks and 25?30 % of them are treated for weed control every year.
