Knutpunkten är ett område i sydvästra Danderyd. Enligt kommunens översiktsplan är området ett av kommunens viktigaste utvecklingsområden. Idag är Knutpunkten relativt osammanhängande och ostrukturerat och markanvändningen utgörs till största del av verksamheter. Störst är Danderyds sjukhus. Inom planområdet finns även Edsviken som är ett vackert naturområde.

The acquisition process as an object for research and empirical studies have increased in importance during the past decade. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate this process further. This was done by reviewing previous research covering the area of mergers and acquisitions. Seven key factors that should be considered in an acquisition process emerged; acquisition project management, planning, communication between the acquirer and the potential target, goal alignment within management, company-cultures, a trade-off between a certain speed in integrating the companies and consideration of the employees, and finally the follow-up. These factors have been shown to increase the likelihood of value creation in acquisitions.

The power of the meeting is a qualitative study primarily examining how homeless men and women and social workers experience the meeting between them. The homeless are the more vulnerable part in these meetings so their experience of these meetings is my focus in this study. I have in this paper also examined and analyzed how and whether homeless women and men tends to be treated and ad-dressed differently with basis on their gender. The main results I have found is that the homeless but also social welfare officers actually feel that there is com-municative problems when the parts meet and cooperates which often results in conflicts and lack of trust. I have chosen to highlight a number of factors that have been claimed as the main reasons for the experience of a poor meeting.

Detta kandidatarbete syftar till att belysa några av de problem som uppstår vid omvandling av centralt belägna industriområden. Fokus ligger på de problem som uppstår när ett industriområde som fortfarande är aktivt står inför en omvandling och hur det påverkar de företag som är verksamma i området. Problematiken diskuteras utifrån en fallstudie i Slakthusområdet i Södra Stockholm som idag är föremål för Stockholms stads planering som en del i en större framtida stadsdel ? Söderstaden. Undersökningen genomförs genom studier av Stockholms stads plandokument som berör Slakthusområdets utveckling, intervjuer med nyckelpersoner samt studier av genomförda inventeringar och undersökningar i Slakthusområdet.

Vårt examensarbete handlar om samspel mellan barn på en förskola i Malmö. Undersökningens fokus ligger på konflikter. Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka konflikter mellan barn på en småbarnsavdelning och den centrala frågeställningen i vår studie är: Vilka är de vanligaste orsakerna till konflikter mellan små barn? Delfrågor som vi kommer att använda när vi bearbetar och analyserar våra observationer är: Vad händer under barnens konflikter? Hur ser samspelet ut vid konflikter mellan barnen? Vilka brister finns det i kommunikationen mellan barnen? Undersökningsgruppen består av 17 barn i ett - tre års ålder på en småbarnsavdelning. Den metod som används är observationer med hjälp av en digitalvideokamera.

The white-backed woodpecker is a forest bird being critically endangered in Sweden. The species is dependent on older forests rich in deciduous trees and dead wood. The main problem for the survival of this species is present shortage of habitat. Conservation work on this umbrella species is at present focused on finding remaining or emerging habitat networks. Large areas are scrutinized in search for suitable habitats to be protected or managed for the species sake.

In this essay, the aim is to study the role the politicians play in relation to the people they represent. This is manly a theoretically study, which focus is on the theories behind the way we choose to identify the role of politicians. We ascribe different underlying values to the role of politicians and as a result from these different values a conflict can arise. Two central terms in my discussion are the way the politicians represent people's values and meanings combined to the possibilities for the people to hold the politicians responsible. Depending on which ethic values you put to the role, you have different views about how the politicians should act.

Since the introduction of the European citizenship in the Maastricht treaty, social rights havetaken a back seat to the economic and political elements. Nevertheless, over the past yearssocial issues have been increasingly included on the agenda following the universalrecognition of challenges resulting from further economic integration and demographicchange. The extensive research on European social policy so far tend to focus on initiativesput forward by the European Commission, and offers little to explain the multitude of lines ofreasoning on how far EU social policy should be taken or why it still remains one of the leastdeveloped policy areas. By examining plenary debates in the European Parliament concerningfamily policy, this Bachelor thesis aims to describe the complex of problems connected to afurther development of the social dimension of the European citizenship.The analysis finds that the most imminent problems impeding an expansion of the EU familypolicy lie not only in the many clashes of opinions between advocates of the various existingwelfare models, but also in the conflicts of interests and the different levels of ambitionbetween EU institutions - most notably the Commission and the European Parliament..

The aim of the "Green forest management plans" is to help forest owners to reach the environmental goal of the forestry act. But are they able to do that? Is it possible to plan preservation of species on single estates? How do single-estate-plans differ from a landscape analysis and how can the landscape approach be used in operative planning? This work was initiated to give an answer to these questions. This study was made in a landscape of 4200 ha in Östergötland county, south-eastern Sweden. A lanscape analysis was made and then compared to the Green forest management plans in the same area. The nature conservation areas (areas that were set aside to be managed with environmenatl goals) differed quite a lot between the two alternatives.

In this study is being examined how cities can be planned in the face of rising water levels and extreme weather, due to the changing climate. The starting point has been to investigate how the problems can be tackled and how the positive sides of water in the city can be strengthened, and synergy effects and greater sustainability be achieved thereby. The method has been literature studies and case studies containing interviews and visits. Göteborg, Kristianstad and Arvika have been studied for discussions and ideas about adaptation. Today, building near water is very popular which brings both advantages and disadvantages.

This report deals with prefabricated bathrooms and the advantage, during the production process, they have compared to ordinary produced bathrooms.The work is done together with the building company JM. The common task is to investigate if the manufactures, in spite of standardized design can meet the concept of JM, i.e. high flexibility and adjustment towards the customer. In JM they are doubtful to the method, as they did not yet worked with prefabricated modules and think that the choises for the costumer will be limited.There will be a short resume of the progress of the bathrooms and its importance as sanitary and wellbeing.The recent problems with damage caused by damp in bathrooms. Have resultade in regulations.

This work has been made in cooperation with the municipality of Eslöv and the inventory area is a part of the deepening of the municipality plan of east Eslöv. The aim of the work is to test the principle of balance in the overall planning. Later in the detailed planning process a more detailed calculation is made and a suggestion of suitable measures for compensation is made. Then the method with green area factors can be used. The goal is to balance the negative influence on the environment from the planned impacts to gain a sustainable development of the city. The principle of balance means that the one responsible for the development also has to compensate for the negative impacts on nature and landscape that comes with the development.

It is not unusual that women and children fall behind in development countries. It is not even unusual that these groups are exposed to all forms of discrimination due to the countries lack of capacity to erase poverty. We also know that women and children in a larger extent suffers from the shortage of proper health conditions. India is one of these countries. It is a country where women even before birth are exposed to discriminatory family planning.

Booth for operational planning of harvesting and for long term planning, data is today collected manually. Intensive objective field inventories are usually too expensive. To enhance optimisation of timber flow from forest to industry Moore efficient methods for measuring tree stems of standing trees are needed. The performance of terrestrial laser scanners have improved and these could possibly be used within forestry in the future. The objective of this study was to validate how a terrestrial laser scanner could be used to measure stem diameter, and to test how the errors depend on distance from the scanner and tree species. Two plots (one pine and one spruce) were used for this study.

Detta examensarbete, Tidplanering av ett stort byggprojekt är en fördjupning inom byggstyrning med fokus på hur planeringsarbetet kan förbättras. Rapporten baseras på Skanskas planeringsarbete av Nya Karolinska Solna. Fördjupningen bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer med personal ur utvalda projektfaser och erforderliga dokument, som ger en närmare inblick i hur arbetet med tidplanering utförs och kommuniceras. Arbetet resulterade i slutsatsen att ledningsverktyget Last planner får samtliga befattningar på byggarbetsplatsen att kommunicera bättre med varandra och uppmärksammar eventuella problem i god tid. Skanska rekommenderas därför att implementera Last planner i framtida projekt. Skanska bör avsätta mer tid för projektering innan produktionen påbörjar.
