The aim of this report is to analyse the logistics of a medium sized restaurant and give an overall solution for improvements on the restaurant's logistics. The restaurant of interest belongs to Laponia Hotel and is located in Arvidsjaur, Sweden. Investments for over 100.000 Euros are planned for the hotel, which includes a reconstruction of the restaurant. The details on how the restaurant will be reconstructed are not yet known. I therefore chose to analyse the problemin general terms and find a solution that is focused on the logistic system itself rather than its layout.

The aim of my study is to investigate if and in that case how the writing process and texts written by students in the upper secondary school are affected by the writing tool; does it matter if they write their texts on a computer or by longhand? Another objective is to compare such an effect with the findings of previous studies performed on earlier generations of writers. The first part of my study was a survey. It showed that two thirds of the 67 students participating thought that they would have written better texts in the national writing test if they had been able to use computers. In the second part of the study each of the fourteen participants wrote one text on computer and another by hand.

I have been using qualitative interviews to explore music's influence in school from a learning perspective, community perspective and identity-building perspective. I have visited two classes at two different schools to do these interviews with ten informants, both students and teachers. My interview questions were almost the same for both students and teachers, but differed in wording. My research is based on the informants? answers and relevant sources such as literary books, curricula and the Internet.After fieldwork was completed, I transcribed the interviews to further analyze them according to relevant theories, such as Bergman (2009) and Antal Lundström (1996).

Den här fallstudien syftar till öka kunskapen om hur Stena Line kan förbättra service genom lärandet från en e-learning utbildning samt om personalen har ett behov av uppföljning, och i så fall hur den ska utformas. Vi ville även öka vår kunskap om hur Stena Line kan förändra de anställdas beteenden med hjälp av e-learning och vilka förutsättningar som krävs för att personalen ska bli motiverade till att förändra sitt beteende.Fallstudien har genomförts genom metodkombination. Tillvägagångssättet har varit att inledningsvis dela ut en enkät, kvantitativ metod, för att skapa oss en uppfattning om arbetsplatsen. Därefter genomfördes semistrukturerade person-, och gruppintervjuer med ett strategiskt urval, kvalitativ metod, med en intervjuguide som utformats med hänsyn tagen till enkätens resultat. Det kvalitativa tillvägagångssättet har varit vår huvudsakliga metod.Vi har kommit fram till att hur utbildningen presenteras är viktigt för hur den mottas hos anställda, vilket i sin tur påverkar resultatet av utbildningen.

Denna kandidatuppsats handlar om e-learning. Syftet med uppsatsen var att ta reda på vilken kunskapssyn som e-learningproducenterna ger uttryck för.Undersökningen avgränsades till fyra organisationer i Sverige som skapar e- learningutbildningar, vilka alltså kallas för e-learningproducenter i uppsatsen. Frågeställningen löd: Vilken kunskapssyn framträder hos organisationerna som deltagit i undersökningen?Syftet uppfylldes genom kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer samt dokumentanalys.Därefter, med verktyget diskursanalys och med grund i teorier kring området, analyserades resultatet av undersökningen.Framför allt framträdde tendenser kring social och konstruktivistisk syn på lärande hos e-learningproducenterna. Dock kunde inte en enhetlig kunskapssyn för alla fyra e-learningproducenter urskiljas.De mest intressanta diskurserna var kunskap som mätbart, att kunderna inte köper pedagogik, respondenternas reflektioner kring kommunikation och interaktion samt problematisering kring teknikens begränsningar..

The purpose of this study is to examine pupils´ experiences from getting grades in upper secondary education for pupils with learning disabilities and which impact this has on these pupils how they form and get formed as schoolchildren. Four pupils in upper secondary education for pupils with learning disabilities in a Swedish community have participated in qualitative semi-structured interviews. All analysis that has been made has focused on these pupils´ stories about getting grades. I have asked openly formulated questions so that the pupils themselves have had the possibility to highlight those experiences that they want to share.Three categories that I have used, with starting point from the questions in this study, to analyze the answers in the interview material is how the pupils talk about the bases for grading, the pupils´ self-awareness when they talk about their own grades and the pupils´ view when they talk about the importance of grades. The theoretical base of the study is policy enactment.One conclusion of this study is that both teachers and pupils in upper secondary education for pupils with learning disabilities often is based on other factors than what different policy documents says about what should be the ground for teachers grading.

The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate if and how the school library in Linnéskolan in Älmhult is working towards the learning goals that can be find in the different school documents that are represented by the municipality of Älmhult. This includes goals for the school, for the school library and for the subject of social studies in the ninth grade. We also want to investigate if the school library helps the students to reach the learning goals and if there are any factors that can be improved in the school library. We have used an evidence based approach to define factors in the school library that can be improved. In the chapter that describes our theoretical approach, we have also discussed three different pedagogical theories; teacher-centered teaching, individual constructivism and social constructivism.

Idag väljer många företag och kommuner att placera data i molnet istället för på en lokal server, detta medför nya problem som tidigare inte varit aktuella. Datainspektionen har påpekat brister i hur två kommuner använder molntjänster för att lagra personlig data då de ställer sig tveksamma till molnleverantörernas hantering av data samt insynen till molnleverantörerena. I detta arbete kommer det undersökas hur den svenska personuppgiftslagen fungerar när data läggs ut i en molntjänst. Resultatet av uppsatsen kommer även visa på de olika säkerhetshoten som finns i molnet och se vad säkerhetsexperter säger för att ta reda på om kommuner och företag är medvetna om och uppmärksammar samma hot. För att ta reda på detta har intervjuer genomförts med en svensk molnleverantör, företag som utvecklar tjänster mot molnet, privatpersoner som nyttjar molnet och experter inom säkerhet från Blekinge Tekniska Högskola, BTH. Resultatet av studien visar att det är svårt att se om en amerikansk leverantör uppfyller de svenska lagarna för personuppgifter, det visar också att det är teoretiskt möjligt att anlita en svensk leverantör och uppfylla lagen. AbstractMy purpose with this study is to find out if it helps children who have diffuculties with their concentration if they get to practise their motor behaviour knowledge during their day at the school to promote their learning capacity. My purpose is also to find out how schools works with motor behaviour training. To get answers to my questions have I done interviews with four educationalists and I have also used books and internet sites. Motor behaviour is of importance to how children learn things in the school, without a well working motor children gets difficulties to sit still and to concentrate. The children may put their energy at the wrong things in the classroom, when the energy instead should be need to learning things.

In February 2002 the European commission put forward a proposal for a new directive on The patentability of computer-implemented inventions, but which during my work on this essay has not been decided on yet. The directive has divided the decision-makers in the union, the commission and parliament, into two different positions regarding by which range computer-implemented inventions should be patentable. The parliament has amended the commissions proposal in a substantial way and the legal process has caused a heated debate both within the unions administration and among various interest groups both in favour of and against a patent on computer-implemented inventions. The loudest protests have come from a group that feels threatened by a possible software patent: Open Source. In this study I examine both the arguments by the decision-makers and by the lobbying for and against the proposal.

En learning study om grundskoleelevers förklaring av vattenkokning och fasövergången har gjorts. Utifrån tidigare forskning har några delar av materians beskaffenhet och kokning av vatten valts ut och använts för att designa ett förtest som hjälper till att kartlägga elevernas tidigare kunskap. Alla elevers svar har analyserats och jämförts med varandra i likheter och skillnader. Några kritiska aspekter av lärandeobjektet valdes och en lektion som belyser de kritiska aspekterna av lärandeobjektet planerades. Genomförandet av lektionen filmades med fokus på att belysa kritiska aspekterna och filmen transkriberades för att studera samtalen under lektionen.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine in what way library users are depicted on images at two academic libraries; the University College of Borås Library & Learning Resources (BLR) and the Gothenburg University Library (GUB). 62 images, from websites and information brochures, are analyzed and the main questions are: How are users represented on images? What activities are shown? What is the difference between BLR and GUB? How can the consequences of the representations be understood? Little is currently known in the LIS-field about how images work as constructors of the social reality. The theoretical and methodological point of departure of the study is discourse analysis, new institutional theory and picture analysis.
