The purpose of this report is to outline the development of a dynamic Microsoft Silverlight application, which will be able to present products and be administered in a simple manner. The project has been carried out at Incordia AB, a company that specializes in e-commerce, situated in Helsingborg, Sweden. Although the Silverlight application is customized for a particular site, forMicro AB (an ongoing project at Incordia), the template and the classes that are used to manage information, are developed so that they can be used in future projects for Incordia AB..

In this essay I discuss and analyse if we can witness any signs on regional dimension due to regional representation from our elected representatives in the five constituencies Malmö, Blekinge, Norrbotten, Uppsala and Stockholm. Two seperate terms of office between 1991-94 and 1998-2002 has been compared. In political science there has been much debate about the relationship between voters and their elected. By measuring each and everyone elected representatives in the work of produce introduced bills towards their own constitiency during both terms I have tried to see if there is an occurence of a regional dimension.The theory that´s been applied is based on geographical representation where one might aspect that central metropolitan areas and peripheral regions is somewhat over-represented in legislatures. By using a method of comparison between the five chosen constituencies and theirs elected representatives I have come the the conclusion that there is a weak tendency that this might be the case seen to a regional dimension perspective..

Chapter 1 defines the aim of the project and gives a general orientation about ground heat extractors. In chapter 2 physical processes that could be expected to be involved in the heat transport around a ground heat exchanger are discussed. It is shown from a literature study what amount of moisture transport due to thermal gradients there could be expected in a ground heat exchanger. The conclusion is drawn that the moisture gradient (Sr) is of same magnitude as the driving temperature gradient (°C). At the expected amount of increased moisture around the pipes the moisture transport could be considered to have a little effect on the brine temperature.

En grafisk formgivare ska alltså förstå vad användbarhet innebär och hur denna kunskap ska tillämpas i designen. Kandidatarbetet undersöker vad som definierar användbarhet och vad grafisk design bidrar till i skapandet av responsiva webbplatser. This work is a study of subject teachers in social studies and science understand the concept of sustainable development. The work uses a qualitative and a quantitative approach. Teachers in various schools and stages have been answering questions about how they perceive sustainability, how they implement it in teaching and if they feel that school is important for the future of sustainable development at large.The theoretical background is based on environmental ethics as well as the different meanings and definitions of the concept of sustainable development. These theories and definitions are coupled with the empirical results.The study concludes that all teachers throughout the study perceive the concept of sustainable development as something ecological, something that has to do with nature. A few teachers also state economic and social dimensions.Questions about how the teachers in the study implement the concept in their teaching can be seen as three different approaches.

This exam paper has examined visual portrayals of overweight and fatness in two swedish upper secondary school textbooks, one in physical education and one in social science. The textbooks were analyzed in regard to numeral representation, interacting social categories such as gender and age, depiction in forms of activities and stereotypes and relation to context close to or far away from a swedish context. The analysis showed an underrepresentation of overweight and fat bodies in both textbooks, but the represention of overweight bodies in the textbook on physical education were nearly nil whereas in the textbook on social science there where representations of both overweight and fat bodies. Combined the both textbooks gave a representation of health and youth as not represented by overweight or fat bodies..

Vi anser att eftersom affärssystem är generellt standardiserade, för att kunna användas hos ett flertal verksamheter, uppstår det en problematik. Vi har utfört en fallstudie av kvalitativ karaktär där syftet har varit att förtydliga och öka förståelsen för handlingsbarhet i affärssystem. Syftet har också varit att utvärdera ett affärssystem i en verksamhetskontext där vi har kunnat påvisa styrkor och svagheter i utvärderingsmetoder för handlingsbarhet. Vi har också utifrån det lämnat förslag på förbättringar som kan genomföras med de utvärderingsmetoder som ligger till grund för att utvärdera handlingsbarhet i ett affärssystem. Fokus i vårt uppsatsarbete har varit att kunna redovisa hur man kan gå tillväga för att åstadkomma handlingsbarhet i affärssystem.Resultatet visar att det som kännetecknar handlingsbarhet i affärssystem inte enbart är de handlingsbara kvalitetsidealen i affärssystemet.

When investigating mechanical problems it is often more convenient to deal with scalars rather than vectors. In this project methods stemming from the field of analytical mechanics, which lets one derive the equations of motion using scalar quantities instead of vectors, have been used. Two mechanical problems were investigated, a double pendulum with a spring and particles orbit in a sphere. The equations of motion of the two systems were derived with the assistance of computer algebra, using Maple and the external package Sophia. The systems were investigated with regard to periodicity and conserved quantities..

The Rwandan genocide 1994 was a well-planned and ethnic based act that killedapproximately 900 000 people. The main purpose of this Master's thesis is to investigate the new librarians' experiences and skills in the context of their present work situation and the ongoing debate about the librarian's professional identity and status. Further, the authors wanted to find out whether the new librarians' experiences and knowledge developed throughout their education correspond to the requirements of the employers. Finally, they try to assess theimpact of the "academization" of the library schools on the status of the profession. The data consist of an opinion poll. The investigation is based on questionnaires distributed as a web survey.

Life science sysselsätter i Uppsala 4500 personer varav 60% arbetar på de fyra största företagen. Branschen är forskningsintensiv och producerar bland annat läkemedel och produkter till läkemedelsbolag och akademiska institutioner. Produkterna är nischade och företagen måste ofta vara globala redan från start. Denna studie undersöker med hjälp av teorier om internationalisering tre fallföretag inom life science från Uppsala. Genom intervjuer och årsrapporter dras slutsatsen att fallföretagen främst har internationaliserat sin försäljning med olika strategier för att penetrera internationella marknader.

This thesis discusses and analyses the existence of two different perspectives, a social and a technical one, in Library and Information Science (LIS). Most of the time the division between these perspectives seems to result in research only using either of them. This can be a problem when studying complex phenomena. We therefore see a need for a metatheory that unites the social and the technical. By presenting and analysing all doctoral dissertations published at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science (SSLIS) 1993-2005, we try to detect and critically discuss the dichotomy between the two perspectives.

Uppdraget som låg till grund för detta examensarbete var att utveckla Vattenfall Science Centers utställning och verksamhet. Uppdraget formulerades i ett syfte att studera hur sciencecentret som koncept kan utvecklas genom att pröva hur ett sociokulturellt perspektiv pålärande yttrar sig i skapandet av en interaktiv installation. Målet med arbetet är att föreslå hurett science center kan formas och utvecklas för att skapa förutsättningar för lärande.Arbetet delades upp i tre delar. Första delen består av en studie av litteratur med syfteatt få en övergripande bild av den forskning som berör lärande på museer. Målet var att belysaviktiga aspekter för lärande på museer.
