AbstractLoeva, J (2013). Schoolrelated stress in female students ? a comparison between vocational and theoretical program. The Academy for health and working life, University of Gavle.Purpose: To investigate and compare perceived stress and recovery among Swedish femalestudents (high school, third degree) in a vocational program versus a theoretical program.Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted on forty female students (vocationalprogram, n=20; theoretical, n=20) to give a cross section of the population in question. Datawas collected by questionnaries, which included questions on perceived stress and energylevels, demand, control and social support at school.

På senare tid har skolungdomar börjat uppleva sig allt mer stressade. Det kan handla om exempelvis stress inför skolan och den kommande framtiden. Denna studie undersökte elever på högskoleförberedande program upplevda stress, stressen inför framtiden samt eventuell betydelse av Locus of Control och kön. Respondenterna utgjordes av 42 poj-kar och 51 flickor, samtliga gick på samma gymnasieskola i årskurs tre. De fick besvara tre bakgrundsfrågor, en inom stressforskning väl använd stressenkät (PSS), en fråga gällande stress inför framtiden, samt Locus Of Control.

Det började faktiskt redan hösten 2004, när jag satt och arbetade med ett av de otaliga projekt man gör under sin skolgång. Projektet gick ut på att skapa en hemsida med en digital katalog, och voilá, där föddes idén. Sedan fortsatte jag att fundera, vända och vrida på idén, ett system för att skapa digitala kataloger och mindre presentationer som vemsomhelst skulle kunna använda. Just detta att inte exkludera de som inte kan ?Flash? från de som skall kunna redigera systemet har varit en av mina stora grundpelare, ett slags digital demokratitanke. För att skapa systemet har jag använt ?Macromedia Flash MX? och dess inbyggda programmeringsspråk ?ActionScript?. Programmeringsspråket är inte ursprungligen tänkt att användas för att göra system, men jag tycker personligen att jag lyckats bevisa att det fungerar även för det ändamålet.

The goal of this master thesis project was to develop computer models of some plausiblepretreatment techniques and to assess the potential benefits/costs of using pretreatment andanaerobic digestion for waste management of organic waste from a system perspective. Forthis purpose a Computer program called ORWARE has been used. ORWARE (organic wasteresearch) is a program for making life cycle assessments of waste management. As the mainpart of the project work the ORWARE system has been provided with three new models ofpretreatment techniques. The additions consist of: One model of pretreatment with ultrasound,one model of thermal hydrolysis and one model of a screw press.

Syftet med studien är att i valfrihetens spår studera hur denna valfrihet utnyttjas och vilka utbildningsvägar en elevkohort tar. Studieobjektet är tre elevkohorter som gick årskurs 5 i tre skolor i tre olika stadsdelar i Uppsala. Med hjälp av statistik som bearbetats från Uppsala kommuns elevdatabaser har utbildningsvägar fastställts och analyserats mot den socioekonomiska bakgrunden i stadsdelarna. För att förklara utbildningsvägarna användes teoretiska begrepp såsom utbildningskapital som lånats av Pierre Bourdieu. Resultaten visar att den vanligaste studievägen för elever från Sunnerstaskolan är att efter årskurs 5 välja friskola och sedan ett studieförberedande program på gymnasiet.

Certifications is common for IT in relation to individual program languages or program applications. Certifications for educations that endures several years is not as common to see. In this paper the situation for the Systems Science programme is researched, by investigating how the programme looks around in Sweden. Also by using interviews, show how companies and people responsible for the programme in Umeå, think the contact is between them and how the knowledge of the Systems Science students are from the view of the companies that employ them. In the end the conclusions show that there are differences in the Systems Science programme, and that the companies have quite a similar view of what the Systems Science students are good and not so good at.

Safe operation of a large synchronous power system as Nordel is not an easy task.There are several aspects to take into consideration. This thesis focuses on the problems due to voltage collapses in a transmission system.The ability to foresee an upcoming collapse is vital to maintain stable operation of the grid. The grid operator at Svenska Kraftnät (SvK) uses the Computer program SPICA to predict the maximum transfer limit at specified transfer sections. SPICA uses actual states from the grid to predict the transfer limitation, and a quarter later a renewed estimate is produced and so on. This means that the operator can se his transfer limits vary every fifteen minutes.Our task in this project is to validate the accuracy of the limitations obtained by SPICA.

Implementeringen av tredje generationens mobila nät (3G) har lett till att nya användningsområden skapats inom mobila tjänster. Bandbreddens ökade kapacitet gör det nu möjligt att skicka betydligt större mängder information än i tidigare mobila nät. Detta har även medfört att nya tjänster skapats för 3G-mobiltelefoner. Ett område under utveckling är mobil turistinformation. Mobila Guiden är en mobil turistapplikation som TelecomCity i Karlskrona tagit fram.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka ett antal svensklärares syn på syftet med läsning av skönlitteratur, urval av texter, populärlitteratur och kvalitetslitteratur samt bedömningar inför betygsättning. Undersökningen berör den skönlitterära läsningen i ämnet svenska i gymnasieskolan och är inriktad på skillnader mellan yrkesförberedande respektive teoretiska program. Undersökningen består av kvalitativa, halvstrukturerade intervjuer. Resultatet har delats in i fyra kategorier, nämligen Syftet med att läsa skönlitteratur, Urval, Populärlitteratur och kvalitetslitteratur samt Bedömning.Då avgränsningen av materialet färdigställts, genomfördes en analys av materialet där informanternas uttalanden jämfördes med tidigare forskning samt Kursplanen i svenska. Gällande de flesta frågeställningar som diskuteras i undersökningen, märks inga större skillnader mellan de informanter som representerar teoretiska program och de som representerar yrkesförberedande program.

Introduction: Every year about 450 women in Sweden are diagnosed with cervical cancer, almost 200 die and thousands undergo surgery because of cell changes in the cervix. A HPV infection can lead to cervical cancer and therefor costs for the society. The implementation of a vaccination program against HPV is a way to avoid these costs. Aim: The study aimed to calculate the economic impact of the HPV- vaccination program for children in Sweden through a cost-benefit analysis. Method: In this analysis, status quo was compared with non-administration of the HPV-vaccine for the selected cohort of ten-years-old girls in Sweden.

En möbel som har ett tydligt program, en tydlig funktion kan vara begränsande. I min metod har jag utgått ifrån en möbel och förbisett dess program för att vidga mitt sökfa?lt när jag har gjort om den. Jag har sett begreppen funktion, upplevd funktion och materiell funktion som värden som går att höja eller sänka. Möbelns nätverk av komponenter har tillåtits bli instabilt för en stund, för att sedan se till helheten och göra nätverket stabilt åter igen - programmet får komma tillbaka men med en ny gestaltning..

The Innovation- and Design Engineer program at Karlstad university is a three year long engineer education. Computational thinking was brought to the forefront in 2006 by Jeannette Wing. Computational thinking is a problem solving method that uses computer science techniques.The thesis is analyzing computational thinking and how it could be applied to graph theory. Characteristics and main fields from computational thinking is being analysed. This analysis is applied to graph theory to see the potential in developing a proposal for how an exercise can look for an introductory course in discrete data types. Only basic knowledge of graphs is required to perform the exercise.

This report is the result of a diploma work made at IMT at US in Linköping. The purpose of this piece of work is to investigate the possibility to design a general program for data-acquisition using LabVIEW, suiting different hardwares and connections. Great importance has been attached to communication with serialport, using bluetooth, because different wireless PPG-instruments has been developed parallel to this project. These PPG-circuits uses this type of serialcommunication. Communication with USB, GPIB and analog connection has also been examined and analog communication has been tested practically.

The school is a place of work where teachers, with different tools, are supposed to teach their students for the future. In the study the teachers? opinions will be lifted when it comes to use of computers as a tool to teach the students how to read and write. The interpretation is that the use of computers is reflecting the development of society and the intention is to find out if computers will be used in a didactic purpose in teaching. We focused on getting knowledge about which different opinions there are among teachers in grade 1-3 when it comes to the use of computers as a tool in teaching how to read and write.
