This study investigates the planning process of a university library building. The study s major concern is the cooperation of the main participants in this process: librarians, architects and representatives of university colleges and universities. First the authors present the readers with an overview of the litterature concerning this subject. Then follows a presentation of the three case studies. The authors have interviewed representatives of the three different occupational groups at three different library-building projects: Malmö University, Halmstad University College and the department of social- and behavioural studies at Lund University.

Integration is a concept that is very topical in today's multicultural-cultural society. Integration means that everyone should have the same rights, opportunities and obligations to society, regardless of extraction. What counteract integration is segregation, which implies a distinction between different groups and where there exist an inequality between them. Segregation is widespread in Sweden today and the exclusion that it creates needs to be broken. The aim of this paper is to examine if it is possible to promote integra-tion through physical planning.

Examensarbetet ger en bild av både lärares och forskares syn på matematiksvårigheter samt deras uppfattning om orsakerna bakom problemen. Vi har undersökt vilka områden i matematiken som elever med matematiksvårigheter har mest problem med samt hur läraren förklarar och underlättar matematiken för dessa elever. Både forskningen och de lärare vi intervjuat är överens om att begreppet matematiksvårigheter är väldigt komplext. Orsakerna kan vara av medicinsk/neurologisk, psykologisk, sociologisk och didaktisk karaktär. I våra intervjuer framkommer att positionssystemet, bråk, procent, enheter, multiplikation och division är de områden som kan ställa till mest problem för elever med matematiksvårigheter.

Abstract (magisteruppsats, 61-80p)This paper is concerned with the national sentiments in the Federal State of Germany,regarding the east- and west-German cleavages, since the unification of the country in 1990.The point of departure is the nationalistic theory crafted together by the scholar AnthonyDavid Smith, which implies an ethno-symbolistic perspective on the dynamics of nations.The main question in the paper is to which extent you can consider the East- and WestGermans to be a unity, considering the past and the forty-year-division. For this reason theauthor basically uses two different sources: scientific books and the German journal DerSpiegel.Founded on Smith's theory, the study contains a broad explanation for national identities incontemporary states, which ranges from pre-modern times, when the ethnic communities werecreated, to the national world of today.The discontinuity of the German case, represented by the separation 1949-90 of the Germannation into two entirely different societies, makes it possible to draw conclusions about whichfactor that has the pivotal impact on national identities.The result turns out to be that the national historical core-values and symbols of the currentGerman state and nation are more profound than the splitting national sentiments. Bakgrund: Cirka 25 procent av Sveriges bostäder utgörs av bostadsrätter.  Förvaltningen sker av bostadsrättsföreningarnas styrelser som i många fall består av lekmän. Styrelserna förvaltar stora belopp. Medlemmarna ska ta ställning till hur förvaltningen har skötts samt fastställa årsredovisningens resultat- och balansräkning och fastställa styrelsen förslag till resultatdisposition. Utgångspunkten för studien är att medlemmar upplevs ha låg förståelse av årsredovisningen. Syfte: Syftet är attbeskriva och förklara hur medlemmarna förstår innehållet i årsredovisningen och med utgångspunkt i resultaten diskutera hur man skulle kunna göra så att fler förstår årsredovisningen bättre. Metod: Arbetet består av en kvantitativ studie i form av en enkät till alla medlemmar i två bostadsrättsföreningar, kompletterad med en kvalitativ studie i form av intervjuer med sakkunniga. Resultat, slutsatser: Studiens resultat visar:-         att förståelsen för årsredovisningen är låg samt vilka begrepp i årsredovisningen                  som är svårare att förstå.-         att förvaltningsberättelsen, följd av resultaträkning och noterna är lättare att för-                 stå och att balansräkningen är svårast att förstå.-         att förståelsen ökar med engagemang samt ju längre tid medlemmen bott i för-                    eningen men även med deltagande i kursverksamhet för bostadsrättskunskap.-         att kön eller utbildningsnivå inte påverkar förståelsen.Med utgångspunkt i studiens resultat ges förslag på hur årsredovisningen kan bli en bättre informationsbärare på kort och lång sikt..

Organisationer har problem med att tillämpa ansvarsredovisningens egenskaper på korrekt sätt. Syftet med studien var att kartlägga föräldrarna till de barn som 2012 blev uttagna till Västervikslägret i fotboll, det första steget i svensk fotbolls nationella selektionssystem. Vi ville undersöka föräldrarnas utbildnings- och idrottskulturella kapital som grundar sig i habitusbegreppet (Bourdieu, 1984), hur föräldrarnas engagemang i sina barns idrottande ser ut, samt diskutera vilken roll föräldrarna kan ha för barnens idrottsutveckling. Många idrottare uppger att föräldrarna har haft en väldigt stor betydelse för deras idrottande (Peterson, 2011). Däremot saknas kunskapen om vad det i praktiken är föräldrarna gör och vilka de är. Studien är byggd på en surveyundersökning där kvantitativ data har samlats in genom en enkätundersökning och urvalsgruppen var föräldrar till de ungdomar som 2012 deltog på Västervikslägret i fotboll, det första steget i uttagningsprocessen till ett första ungdomslandslag.

In present there is no Swedish legislation regulating bareboat registration of Swedish ships. Despite this absence however shipowners with vessels already registered in the Swedish Vessel Register do not hesitate to take advantage of the positive aspects of bareboat registration and thereby allowing the registration of their ships in another State as well. The fact that there is a lack of legislation in this area has left a legal loophole resulting in Swedish ships being registered in a second State without any regulation providing options or protection for the different parties involved. With this as a background, the main objective of this thesis is to analyze parallel registration of ships, its consequences and the future of dual registration in Sweden. To fulfil this objective another aim is to impart a collected legal and economical presentation of the problems that may occur when a bareboat chartered vessel is registered in two different States simultaneously.

This essay is a discourse analysis of the integration politics of the different parties in the Swedish parliament and the non-parliamentary party ?the Swedish Democrats?, as it is presented on their respective web pages. The overall purpose is to problematize and shed a light on how the current discourse(s) about integration are constituted. Also of interest is how these construct our knowledge and experience of the phenomena. We furthermore want to illustrate the social consequences of such discourses on the construction and organization of identities and groups, and, as a result, the courses of action that becomes available.

In this report female farmers use of technical equipment is investigated. There is little research made on this subject in Sweden, therefore this report can be seen as an explorative study. Research makes it clear that machinery, throughout history and even today, has been seen as a male area. Heavy machines are often associated with the same attributes as masculinity. Force, power, efficiency and control are some examples.

The connection between body, soul and social surroundings and their influence on health has, in the western world, been known for over a hundred years. The hospital social worker with tasks within the area of the psychosocial perspective is therefore now a part of Swedish healthcare. Yet both international as well as national research and literature show that social workers have a slow professionalizationprocess and difficulties describing their area of tasks and methods. This study aims to explore hospital social workers line of work, what they believe becomes help in their work with patients and put results in relation to professionalization in the medical environment. The results are problematized from perspectives like professionality, power and role.The study includes 86 hospital social workers at Sahlgrenska Universitetssjukhuset in Gothenburg Sweden and it contains both quantitative and qualitative parts.

The aim of this study is to examine how the induction period for newly employed upper secondary school teachers is implemented in practice, in relation to the Swedish Education Act and the National Agency for Education?s general guidelines. Although this induction period has been legally mandated since 2010, both previous research and current statistics indicate significant shortcomings or wide variation in its practical execution. The study is based on a qualitative interview study involving 13 school leaders. The interview responses were analyzed using three complementary theoretical frameworks: Lipsky?s theory of street-level bureaucracy, Meyer and Rowan?s concept of decoupling, and Schein?s model of organizational culture.

Wetlands play an important role in the ecosystem. They reduce the impact of flow flux in the drainage area, acts as upholder of biodiversity, as an esthetic and recreational component in the landscape and they have the ability to reduce nutrients such as nitrogen, and help preventing eutrophication in costal areas.The number of wetlands in Scania have, due to the intensified agriculture been reduced to maximize the area suitable for crops.However since the mid 80th the consequences of this has been acknowledged, and many wetlands have been restored.This master?s thesis aim to see what impact this development have had on wetlands in Scania over the last 60 years. And also look at some of those factors important for the efficiency of nitrogen removal in wetlands. During the process a detailed manual for inventories of this sort was created.The material used to execute the inventory of wetlands where aerial photographs over Scania from the 1940th, 1980th and 2000.

I have also read the Commission of Inquiry's recommendation according abolishing the law regarding the compulsory nation and student union membership.
