It is important to know what is normal in the wound healing process in order to determine what happens when a wound does not heal as expected. If the amount of bacteria in the wound gets too large the body will not be able to defend itself and it becomes an infection. Colonization and infection are common elements in wound management and it is often the veterinary nurse role to deal with wounds in a proper manner. Antibiotics are drugs that either kill or inhibit the multiplication of bacteria or fungi, and have been in veterinary medicine for approximately 60 years. Very few new antibiotics are introduced and increased resistance is a major problem that requires everyone to take responsibility to reduce the use of it.

I många länder runt om i världen finns arbetsterapeuter anställda inom skolverksamheten. Där de ger stöd/handledning till läraren men också insatser som riktas direkt till barnet. Med bakgrund till detta ville vi ta reda på utifrån ett arbetsterapeutiskt perspektiv om klasslärarna i årskurs 4-6 får stöd och handledning gällande barn med inlärningssvårigheter i skolaktiviteter samt vilka insatser som riktas mot dessa barn. Informationen samlades in genom en egendesignad enkät, där 19 lärare deltagit som sammanlagt undervisade 508 elever. Lärarna undervisade i genomsnitt 4,9 elever med inlärningssvårigheter och resultatet visade att 63 % av lärarna inte fick det stöd/handledning som de önskade och 90 % av lärarna ansåg att skolans resurser inte var tillräckliga för att möta elever med inlärningssvårigheter.

This literature review summarizes available data on infection with the parasitic roundworm, Ascaridia galli, as a cause of disease in poultry, including the consequences of a conversion to alternative production systems. Ascaridia galli has a direct life cycle with resistant eggs that survive and are easily spread in the environment, especially in systems with bedding materials where the faecal contact is high. The infection is usually subclinical but depending on the infection dose, the symptoms range from weight loss and diarrhea to mortality. Factors such as the feed composition and genetic variation among different hybrids clearly affect the establishment rate of the infection. Ascaridia galli will probably become an increasing problem, with a shift from the traditional battery cages to alternative systems where the risk of re-infection is high.

There has also been a new spray pipe designed. The manufacturing costs of the new design have been calculated.The thesis also contains a concept generation of an alternative product to the spray pipes in installations where a high pressure washer is used.To be able to ask other manufacturers of spray pipes to quote, a demand specification based on the currently used spray pipe was made. This was then sent to two alternative suppliers.An investigation of earlier used spray pipes, and the currently used, shows that the nozzles are a big part of the total costs of the spray pipes. To attempt to reduce the nozzles high cost an concept generation was made to find the best solution for a new design.There was a request that it should be possible to change the internal brushes in the spray pipe without cutting and welding.

The method used to answer the purpose of this study is critical discourse analysis, based on the thoughts of Norman Fairclough. The central theoretical ideas for this study are representation, stereotypes and racialization.

Andelen yngre som insjuknat i stroke har under de senaste åren ökat och möjligheten för dessa individer att kunna återgå till arbete med hjälp av rehabilitering eller kompensatoriska åtgärder är av stor vikt. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur individer som insjuknat i stroke upplever sin nuvarande arbetssituation, men även belysa hur de upplever rehabiliteringens roll som en del av återgången till arbete. Datainsamlingen skedde genom en egenutformad enkät med kvalitativ ansats. Deltagarna bestod av två män och två kvinnor i åldrarna 32-60 och med olikartade yrkesroller. Resultatet visade att framförallt arbetsgivare och rehabiliteringspersonal hade en avgörande roll i individernas upplevelser av återgången till arbete.

When searching for better and more practical interfaces between users and their computers, additional or alternative modes of communication between the two parties would be of great use. This thesis handles the possibilities of using eye and head movements as well as voice input as these alternative modes of communication. One part of this project is devoted to find possible interaction techniques when navigating in a computer interface with movements of the eye or the head. The result of this part is four different controls of an interface, adapted to suit this kind of navigation, combined together in a demo application. Another part of the project is devoted to the development of an application, with voice control as primary input method.

This essay will focus on the people using and are involved in, and have a large interest in the horror film genre. The purpose of this essay is to find what urge these people to continuously watch horror movies and how they believe to be acknowledge by the society in a modern sense. Our study is mainly based on two separate interviews and therefore, mainly from the users perspective. This essay is also complemented by earlier research on this topic. In context of stigma, violence debate, exclusion we found that the users truly can be found in a rare type of alternative sphere, besides the public sphere.

This paper describes the Swedish reconnaissance squads in the engineer battalions, their equipment, tasks and organization. An analysis is made to compare the present weapons and fire power of the reconnaissance squad with an extended weapon alternative. The purpose of the study was to examine if parents' way ofcommunicating with their children changed after participation in ComAlongcommunicationcourse, and if changes remained over time. The studyinvolved 39 parents of 25 children with communicative disabilities. 33 of theparents had participated in ComAlong, the other six had not participated, buthad a partner who had participated in the course. Video recorded parentchildinteraction was analyzed and coded with the instrumentKOMMUNIKATIV. Results showed that parents used a significantly moreresponsive communication style and used significantly more augmentativeand alternative communication after ComAlong.

Syftet med denna studie var att få förståelse för vilka platser barn som använder förflyttningshjälpmedel väljer för lek och rekreation i sin närmiljö, samt få förståelse för vilka upplevelser som är knutna till platserna. Gåturer genomfördes med tre barn, åtta och tio år som använde förflyttningshjälpmedel med hjul.
