I uppsatsen studeras finska och svenska börsnoterade företags årsredovisningar utifrån rekommendationen IAS 36: nedskrivningar Studiens vetenskapliga ansats är deskriptiv/induktiv eftersom studien utgår från empirin. Ambitionen att kunna generalisera resultaten och att ta reda på om det finns skillnader mellan Sverige och Finland angående införandet av den nya standarden IAS 36. Studiens metodansats är kvantitativ eftersom den är det mest lämpliga tillvägagångssättet vid analys av årsredovisningar. Litteraturgenomgången bygger på institutionell teori med vilken redogörs utvecklingen och regleringen av redovisning. Vidare presenteras den nationella redovisningspraxisen i både Finland och Sverige.

The present thesis deals with Qur'anic Studies among Turkish immigrants inSweden. The aim is to investigate the significance of Qur'anic Studies forMuslims in a country like Sweden. This thesis also highlights the role ofthe Turkish state in encouraging and funding Qur'anic Studies in Sweden.I have carried out a case study on a Mosque outside Stockholm, where anImam, sent by the Turkish government, is in charge of the Qur'anic Studies.It is found that Qur'anic Studies is important for Muslims in Sweden in theirefforts to preserve their religious identity. The results also indicate thatQur'anic Studies also has an ideological dimension insofar as it is a meansfor Islamic governments, groups and individuals to further the interests of political Islam..

Utgångspunkten för denna rättskomparativa uppsats grundar sig i det Svenska och Finska djurskyddet. Arbetet bygger på en traditionell juridisk metod, med vilande tyngdpunkt på lagstiftningen och dess motiv. Sverige har sedan 1988 besuttit ett av världens starkaste djurskydd och har även varit en influens i skapandet av Europeiska Unionens och andra länders djurskyddslagstiftning. Oaktat att Finland är ett av Sveriges grannländer, har de en helt annan syn på djurskydd och framförallt hållandet av djur. Detta visar sig i de två olika lagstiftningarna, även om de influeras av EU-lagstiftning.

SyfteDet övergripande syftet med denna studie har varit att ta reda på vilken inställning eleverna i skolår 8 har till sam- respektive särundervisningen i idrott och hälsa idag, vidare hur elevernas inställning skiljer sig i de olika undervisningsformerna i Finland och Sverige. Jag har även valt att fördjupa mig i hur man sett på de olika undervisningsformerna ur ett historiskt perspektiv, samt vad som står i läroplanerna om vilken undervisningsform som skall bedrivas i skolan i de båda länderna.MetodDatainsamlingen har gjorts med hjälp av en kvantitativ enkätstudie, tillsammans med en litteraturstudie av de båda ländernas historiska framskrivning av kroppsövningsämnets utveckling i Finland och Sverige. Genom ett bekvämlighetsurval har 2 klasser i Finland samt i Sverige valts ut. I urvalet av de svenska klasserna kom en av klasserna att bestå av en s.k. idrottsklassResultatGenom de svar som fåtts från enkäten har jag gjort en jämförelse mellan de båda ländernas idrottsundervisning.

ABSTRACTGustafsson, J. & Söderqvist, N., ??The Island of Peace in the Sea of War? A newspaper study of Växjö city?s newspaper editorials regarding the conflicts of the Second World War in the Nordic countries?, Linnaeus University. A qualitative textual analysis delving into three local newspapers from Växjö city is in many ways the essence of this study. The main purpose of this study is to examine three key conflicts, the Winter War, Operation Weserübung and the Continuation War. Each conflict has been assessed in relation to the opinions advocated in the editorials of the three politically diverse newspapers.The theoretical basis for this study is founded on similar analysis made by Nybom, Johansson and Åmark who all have contributed to the content of this particular essay.

The purpose of this thesis is to study the relationship between the definition and bibliographical classification of a certain academic subject; social anthropology. The theoretical framework consists of views held in Information Science regarding the definition and classification of subjects. The methodological onset is based on hermeneutical concepts that allow an extended analysis of abstract structures of thought. This analysis comprises of two parts; a descriptive analysis and a comparative analysis. The result of the descriptive analysis, whose aim is to describe the academic subject social anthropology, shows that this is not easy to define, instead it is nowadays almost the same as cultural anthropology.

Under Finska Vinterkriget fanns två dominerande partier i Norrbotten, socialdemokraterna och kommunisterna. Tidningen Norrskensflamman var kommunistisk och socialdemokraternas tidning hette Norrländska Socialdemokraten, NSD. Under tidsperioden då Finska Vinterkriget rasade, 1939-1940, bildades två läger där det ena stödde Finland och det andra stödde Sovjetunionen. DE två dominerande partierna i Norrbotten bidrog till att befolkningen delades upp beroende på om man stödde Finland eller Sovjetunionen i Finska Vinterkriget. Medier är inte bara kanaler som förmedlar den politiska informationen och debatten i samhället utan de speglar också det politiska system som finns i landet.

Denna undersöknings syfte är att redogöra för den finlandssvenska satirens skildring av språkstriden i Finland under mellankrigstiden. Huvudkällan för detta ändamål är skämttidningen Garm som innehar en unik position i den finska skämtpressens historia. Genom att analysera tidskriftens årgångar från perioderna 1927-1931 och 1934-1939 besvaras frågan: ?Hur representeras språkstriden i relation till finlandssvensken??. Det läggs vikt på vilken typ av samtidsfrågor som uttryckligen är relaterade till aktuella händelser rörande språkstriden, hur äktfinskheten och finsk nationalism representeras och hur språkliga skillnader skildras.

Monuments are raised all over the world of several different reasons. A monument dosen´t only refer just to itself, it also tells something about the historical context they are risen into. The overall purpose of this study is to try to reveal how history is used through the process, and rising of the monument "Vindarnas Boning" in Karlstad, Sweden 16/6, 1967. The historical narrative around this monument is about to show the importance of the esthetics, the main forces around the monument and last, how the monument legitimacy is maintained. Throughout those analytic tools, according to this study, I will try to examine possible other reasons behind this monument than the official one, who is to act as a remembrance of the finnish immigrants who settled in the unpopulated deep forests of Sweden and enabled to maintain a minor community separated from other influences, during the 16 th century and onward.

Ur ett rättssäkerhetsperspektiv är det av stor relevans att varje ingripande av polisen sker med största möjliga omsorg och respekt för den enskilde individen i den mån det är möjligt. Svensk polis ges idag inte möjlighet att efterleva denna princip på grund av invecklad och krånglig lagstiftning som står i dess väg. Denna rapport visar att det idag skadas och dödas personer i onödan på grund av otillräcklig lagstiftning. De finländska lagstiftarna har löst mycket av problematiken genom att tillåta en öppen och ej fallbunden tolkning av lagen. Statistik visar på en markant skillnad i skadebilden länderna emellan.

J.O. Mallander?s Extended Play (1968) is a sound recording, a readymade, of the counting of votes in two presidential elections in Finland, during 1962 and 1968. A voice repeats monotonously: ?Kekkonen, Kekkonen, Kekkonen, Kekkonen, Kekkonen?? Although the Finnish president Urho Kekkonen represents, almost personifies, the politics of the post World War II period in Finland, Extended Play does not explicitly address the political. Rather, as this essay argues, it engages in the discourses of power and politics by providing a temporalization of its fixedness, or what Jacques Derrida terms the proper.Extended Play is, in parallel with Derrida?s critique of western metaphysics, a deconstruction in sound that challenges the state ideologies conveyed in the process of the counting of votes, where the presuppositions of the presence of the voice characterizes the ambiguities of power that Kekkonen?s politics of neutrality represent.Mallander?s readymade emerges as a double of the game theory strategies of the Cold War, a mimetic surplus of the administrative control mechanisms of sound recording.

Producers should be more concern to strengthen their marketpositions in order to maintain profitability in the paper mills. Holmen Paper is a medium sizedpaper mill company with all of their production in Europe. Sales are mainly made to printingcompanies operating in European countries. In order to strengthen their economic strengthHolmen Paper needs to increase the market share in markets where they have the greatestprofit margins.

This study examines in which way literature is presented in four schoolbooks for the Swedish senior high school of today, compared to descriptions and selections in Swedish universities. The study covers two basic schoolbook categories used in the teaching of Swedish and comparative literature: anthologies and textbooks.The four anthologies structures and their joined canon are presented, and the text canon of 12 common writers is studied and compared to the corresponding text canon in the universities selection of texts to main courses in comparative literature. The four textbooks are analysed by close reading of the presentations of four different writers and their works, where the textbooks for the Swedish senior high school are viewed through the glass of literary guides used in Swedish universities.The study also analyses what literary perspective is present in the Swedish school principles for education in literature and display, through earlier didactic studies, a sketch of the classroom reality of education in literature.The study finds that the examined schoolbooks for the Swedish senior high school tend to, not only shorten the text length and amount of texts but also, simplify the selection and presentation of the writers production. This leads to certain fixed and, in some cases, almost stereotyped ?roles? that are assigned to the writers and limits their production.

The purpose of this literature review was to describe if the nutritional balance of the fats, carbohydrates, proteins and fibers can lead to weight reduction and to improve glucos-/blood lipid for individuals with obesity and type 2 diabetes. The method used was a literature review. Twenty-two scientific articles were chosen, which were consistent with the study purpose and questions. The articles were selected based on searches in the Medline database by PubMed. The keywords used were type 2 diabetes mellitus, diet, obesity, comparative, fat, carbohydrate, low carbohydrate, high fat and saturated fat.

Syfte med uppsatsen är att belysa arbetshälsovård och hälsobokslutsarbete i Finland, genom att undersöka hur två kommuner i Finland använder sig av företagshälsovård samt hälsobokslut som ett verktyg och resurs att styra samt utveckla verksamheten. Jag tittar även närmare på ett projekt, Druvan modellen, som har genomförts på en av dessa kommuner. Min uppfattning är att näringslivet och arbetslivet kommer att möta en del utmaningar i framtiden till exempel 40-talisternas pensionering och ökad antal långtidssjukskrivningar samt förtidspensioneringar. Ökat antal långtidssjukskrivningar samt förtidspensioneringar kostar stora pengar till samhället, som gör att man borde hitta ett sätt att förebygga och minska dessa. En viktig fråga är hur man då kan effektivisera arbetsmarknaden utan att bränna ut den arbetsföra befolkningen.
