Arbetet behandlar utvecklingen av ett grundläggande element till en framtida webbaserad community för dataspelsutvecklare. Grundelementet är en användarprofil som inom communityn kommer att åskådliggöras i ett grafiskt webbgränssnitt för alla registrerade användare. Användarprofilens syfte är att presentera användaren på ett attraktivt sätt för såväl spelindustrin som andra spelutvecklare som söker samarbete och bekantskap. Gränssnittet utvecklas ur ett användarcentrerat perspektiv genom den metodologi som McCracken och Wolfe (2004) presenterar. Utvecklingsprocessen inleds med att kartlägga marknaden, de tänkta slutanvändarna och deras behov samt den svenska spelindustrins intresse av en sådan community.

In today?s school in Sweden the assignment of community encompasses mediated values and education of democracy as well of single subject matters. What does it mean then, that teachers have a certain kind of idea of democracy, and what implications may biology have for the assignment of community? In upper secondary school there are quite many courses in biology with a national curriculum, and findings show that students of teaching perceive or think of biology as helping to promote the dual-purpose of teaching. In this study, the author of the paper has interviewed four future teachers of upper secondary school with biology as one of their main subjects.

During the 19th century the Elementary school and its teachers emerge in the city of Halmstad and in the parish of Veinge as well as in Sweden overall. This thesis studies whether private equity owned firms within the Swedish welfare sector distinguish themselves in terms of tax planning and short-termism from a control group consisting of other privately owned welfare firms. For the first time, the comparison is made on the entire welfare sector, between 14 matched pairs within education, health care and elderly care. We use financial metrics associated with tax planning and short-termism in sign tests to examine whether the private equity owned firms differ from our control group. The financial metrics tested are actual and paid tax rates, level of interest, book-tax gap, investments, personnel expenses per employee, and cash earnings. We find that the private equity owned firms in terms of tax planning only differ in the level of interest, while no notable differences are found in terms of short-termism..

The purpose of this paper is to analyze and map out the cyber culture of the Internet and its all users, identity, design theories and services. How people communicate and how they build up their identities are some of the baselines. I will also discuss the important aspects of Interaction design and how this can be used in a Community for digital storytelling. The Internet, or new media, was founded in the 60?s by some great philosophers (McLuhan, Rheingold, Lambert and more). With influence from their books I will discuss and analyze what kind of media the Internet is and how it can be seen as extensions to our senses, as McLuhan claims.

The reason why this essay is written can be parted in two, whereas one would be the global trend of urbanization that occurs to this moment and forward, whereas the other would be the debate of how motorism has come to be an issue of sustainable management of our cities and our environment. In purpose to deliver a thorough understanding of how the car and its capacity has come to shape the society of today, and to emphasize the problems it´s brought, a historical survey has been made, followed by the report of problems to the society formed by the needs of the car, discussed in several environmental issues, such as jamming, noise and air pollution. This is followed by the discussion of potential solutions for how city planning could return to the focus of the human scale and perspective, in purpose to correspond with the issue of ways to decrease the car use in towns. In conclusion, the given solutions are discussed, where examples like shared space, investment in public transport, mobility management and the theory of the assembled city are included, with aid from literature, to finally conclude the essay with personal thoughts of how the planning of today, or the given solutions, really are the result of sustainability for city planning from a human perspective.

För att få reda på hur de olika momenten och problemen kan lösas så har en fullständig community utvecklats. Denna community har som profilering att rikta sig mot högskolestuderande på Växjö universitet.Webbplatsen i fråga har varit under utveckling sedan hösten 2003 och blev officiell för första gången under februari månad 2004. Därefter började medlemmarna registrera sig, och fram till sommaren 2004 var det strax över 600 som registrerat sig på sidan. Under hösten 2004 så beslutade utvecklaren sig för att skapa en ny version av sidan efter att den första lagts ner under sommaren strax innan på grund av komplikationer med serverleverantören.Den nya versionen började utvecklas och såg sedan dagens ljus under februari månad 2005.

In this essay the aim is to look at difficulties in preservation of buildings in general, andespecially the ones of the modernist era. To navigate in this huge field the study is narroweddown to take place in Finspång, a small Swedish town. In Finspång there was a swimmingpool facility built in 1967. In 2003 the facility was closed down due to its unusable conditionsand then after seven years with discussions of different plans about what to do with thefacility it was demolished in 2010. This case is the base in the essay, and why it was notpreserved.The purpose of this essay is to look at what the people in Finspång think about preservation ofbuildings with the demolished swimming hall facility as base, and what impact materiality hason questions regarding preservation, cultural heritage, memory and history.

The main purpose of this essay is to study ideas concerning the concept of ?art? within the discourse of the exhibition space that is part of a fanart community. In order to do so I have used a hermeneutical and to some extent structuralistic, discourse analysis. I have examined structure and rhetorics in two established and popular communities, Fanart-Central and deviantART.My conclusions states that personal ideas regarding artistic value are undermined the joint policies, because of a collective rhetoric somewhat inherent in the community structure.When a lot of works are being based on internal knowledge of symbolics and historical narratives, this may to some extent have consequences where unfamiliar observers might fail to notice elements of possible significance. Moreover, certain interests in keeping a united front of ?quality art? may also affect a general idea immediate to what signifies fanart.

Denna studie ämnade att undersöka förhållandet mellan termen succession planning och idrottsvärlden genom att ta reda på vilka målsättningar och strategier som svenska elitfotbollsföreningar har. Tre föreningar tillhörande det högsta seriesystemet inom svensk elitfotboll har medverkat i denna studie. Metoden för att utföra denna uppsats var fallstudiemetoden. Varje förening benämns som ett enskilt fall, där av berörs och jämförs tre olika fall i denna uppsats. Uppsatsens fokus ligger i utvalda föreningarnas ungdomsakademier, mer specifikt elitförberedande verksamhet för pojkar 15-19 år. Empirin har samlats in genom intervjuer med uppgiftslämnare från föreningarna medverkande i studien.

Knowledge about climate change, environment, health and availability effects the trend towards less car dependent societies in favour of public transport and active transport like walking and biking. This study takes place in Västerbotten, one of Sweden?s most north provinces with a population of 260 000 inhabitants. It is a sparsely populated area with two dominant cities, the other municipalities are largely unpopulated.

By looking back at selected architectural eras during the 1900?s, the idea is to study and analyse three building structures in Gothenburg with a focus on quality and content in the urban space.In order to provide a background for the three selected areas, their history has been studied. The main question for the research is: how do different building structures affect the content and qualities in the urban space?The areas have been selected to represent three typical epochs in Swedish building history.
