The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to examine the existence of criteria and to what extent high school students use these criteria when they are collecting information for a school assignment. I also compare students attending different high school programmes with each other and compare students on different levels of education.I have done a quantitative study with 284 students in which the students have filled out questionnaires.The result shows that the most common way to evaluate information is to compare sources with each other. Students also look at how the information is written, and they want the information to be detailed and easily available. More seldom used criteria include consideration of the authority of the writer, determination of how up to date the information is, and gauging the perspective of the information.The result also shows that students attending a high school programme that prepares them for higher education are better at evaluating information than students attending a high school programme of vocational preparation. Students at a higher level of education are also better at evaluating information than students at a lower level of education. .

Since the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) that causes Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) was discovered in the 1980s, the condom has scientifically proven to be the only technological device that can prevent transmission of the virus during sexual intercourse. This technical approach to the HIV has strongly emphasized that prevention is only possible if the condom is properly used. However, as a technological artifact the condom has shown that its use is laden with values. The question of values on condoms has brought in a heated debate on the moral justifications of its use. Title: Teaching improvisation in different musical genres My curiosity for teaching improvisation in different genres emerged when I started playing with musicians who had another musical background than my own. I wanted to acquire a better understanding of what improvisation means to them and how improvisation is taught in their genre. The aim of this study is to gain insight into four pedagogues' methods of teaching improvisation. The four pedagogues represent the genres of jazz, blues, organ music and folk music. With this thesis I have sought to do a critical review on how Islam is perceived and articulated by secondary school students in a school in a larger Swedish city. The aim is to analyse how some secondary students in Sweden talk about Islam, as a religion and as a school subject. To achieve this aim, seven focus group interviews with 36 students aged 15-16 have been conducted. Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka musiklärares syn på huruvida deras val av specialiseringar under studietiden var adekvata för deras nuvarande yrkesroll.Den kvalitativa forskningsintervjun har använts som metod och informanterna består av fyra före detta studenter från musikhögskolan Ingesund som arbetar som verksamma musiklärare. I min teoretiska utgångspunkt har jag valt att fokusera på musikeridentitet och läraridentitet. Resultatet av studien visar att informanterna valde sina inriktningar framförallt på grund av det egna musicerandet, men också för att få behörighet att undervisa i ämnet. Det framkommer också att läraryrket är mer än bara lärande och konflikthantering, och att samtal med elever och mentorskap har nästan lika stor del som lärandet.
