Barns språkutveckling : Validering av SECDI-III mot CCC-2
Språksvårigheter kan leda till sociala problem eller vara en indikation på neuropsykologiska problem. MacArthur-Bates Communicative Development Inventories (MB-CDI) och Children´s Communication Checklist (CCC) är instrument som används för att uppmärksamma eventuella brister i kommunikations- och språkutveckling. Swedish Early Communactive Development Inventories (SECDI) är svenska motsvarigheten till MB-CDI. Föreliggande studies syfte var att validera den nya svenska versionen av SECDI för barn 3-5 år gamla (SECDI-III) mot de tio skalorna i CCC-2. 36 föräldrar deltog i studien.
Bibliotek och ungdomar med annan språklig bakgrund än svenska ? en enkätundersökning
This thesis examines what and in which language young people in Sweden with other linguistic backgrounds than Swedish read, as well as if they have access to the literature that they demand, how they use the library and what kind of role the library plays to them. The chosen method was quantitative and it consisted of a questionnaire as this method is useful in quantifying phenomena, which is the purpose of this thesis. The investigation shows that the studied population is bilingual. I hope that the thesis points out the range of the problems and that these issues need to be solved within the society and not the within the family. We need to make use of the resources of the young immigrants, as their cultural competence, in some cases even bi-cultural competence, can be useful for the Swedish society.
Samtalsmatta som kommunikationsstödjande redskap för gruppsamtal i förskolan
The aim of the study was to examine the impact of the use ofTalking Mats in group conversations with preschool children. Two preschoolteachers and eight preschool children, aged 4-5, took part in one of twoconversational groups with one teacher and four children in each group. Thegroups were video-taped during four group conversations on two topics, withand without the use of Talking Mats. The amount of time for each child inthe conversation was calculated, the child?s communicative contributionswere coded and thereafter the extent to which their views were noticed wasanalyzed.

Bakgrund: Trauma är ett världsomfattande problem. I Sverige avlider 4500 personer årligen av traumarelaterade skador. Lennquist (2007) menar att denna siffra kan minskas vid optimerad organisation och förhöjd/förbättrad kompetens inom traumavård. Syfte: Att undersöka operationssjuksköterskors självskattade kompetens inom traumavård utifrån Landstinget Västmanlands kompetensutvecklings modell, baserad på Benners kompetens- och utvecklingsstadier. Metod: Deskriptiv analys av kvantitativ data.
Talangfull? : En studie om hur medarbetare i en stor organisation upplever att deras kompetens och talang tillvaratas
Denna studie har som syfte att se hur medarbetare på ?golvet? i en stor organisation upplever att deras kompetens och talang tas tillvara på. Avsikten är dessutom att jämföra hur denna hantering av kompetens och talang skiljer sig i två likadana verksamheter på olika platser i Sverige. För att undersöka detta har enkäter delats ut, där medarbetare ombads skatta hur de anser att organisationen tar tillvara på deras kompetens och talang. De ombads även skatta den egna kompetensen och talangen samt besvara en rad bakgrundsfrågor som senare låg till grund för analysen.

There is an increasing demand for information literacy, which is mirrored in curriculum throughout the whole educational system. This, in turn, has brought forward a growing need for librarians who can teach. But do librarians possess pedagogical competence, and if they do, how is this ability used in everyday library practice? The aim of this study is to investigate librarians' conceptions of the pedagogical role, as it is expressed in their didactic interaction with the users. The research questions focus on librarians' experiences of teaching information seeking and use and their activities in this respect.
Förväntad och upplevd kunskap : En enkätstudie bland elever på Hotell- och Restaurangprogrammet
The purpose with my study was primarily to illuminate the students' expectations on gained knowledge during their studies at the upper secondary school Hotel- and Restaurant program, and to what extent these expectations were fulfilled. Secondarily, the purpose was to compare the students' expected and perceived knowledge with the program goals set by the Swedish government and the knowledge requirements expressed in a pilot study made by the Education council of the Hotel and restaurant business (UHR, 2007).I chose a quantative approach and I used an anonymous group enquiry among students at the Hotel- and Restaurant program at two different upper secondary schools to carry out my study.Tendencies in the result suggested that the students at the Hotel- and Restaurant program expected high knowledge level within the competence areas of Guest reception and communication, Cleaning and hygiene, Cooking of cold and hot dishes and Waiting. The expectations were not big within the areas Computers and Internet and Business economics and management.Fulfillment of expected knowledge tended to be high within the areas where the expectations were big. It might therefore be a good investment for schools to work on the student expectations to increase motivation within the low expectation areas.A confrontation of the tendencies in the result with the program goals and the competence requirements expressed in the UHR study, suggested that the upper secondary Hotel- and Restaurant education might focus some more the areas of Guest reception and communication, Beverages and Organization of banquets. Business economics and management should be given much more weight..
Validering av föräldraskattningsformuläret SCDI-III för svenska barn i tre års ålder
Föräldraskattningsformuläret The Swedish Communicative Development Inventory (SCDI-III) är en modifierad form av MacArthur-Bates Communicative Development Inventorys tredje form (CDI-III), och har tagits fram som ett forskningsinstrument för undersökning av språkförmågan hos barn i åldersgruppen 2;6-4;0 år.Det är av stor betydelse att barn i riskzonen för att utveckla en språkstörning upptäcks i tid för att språket ska kunna stimuleras under gynnsamma utvecklingsfaser. Kliniskt verksamma personer har givit uttryck för ett behov av ett material som kan ge en överblick av ett barns språkförmåga inför vidare språkutredning. Behovet av ett sådant material bidrog till att validiteten hos SCDI-III behövde undersökas, vilket utgjorde grunden för föreliggande studie. Syftet var att validera det redan normerade föräldraskattningsformuläret SCDI-III med etablerade språktest för att undersöka om det kan användas för att identifiera barn som ligger i riskzonen för språkstörning.Fyrtioen barn (21 flickor och 20 pojkar) i åldersgruppen 3;0-3;11 med svenska som modersmål, och 41 vårdnadshavare deltog i studien. Barnens grammatiska förmågor undersöktes med valideringsinstrumenten SIT (Språkligt Impressivt Test) och Gramba (Grammatiktest för barn) och deras lexikala förmågor undersöktes med BNT (Boston Naming Test) och PPVT-III (Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test).

The purpose of this study is to highlight the opportunities of using social media as a communicative tool to attract and engage customers on different social media platforms. In recent years social media has become an important way for business to communicate with people both national and global. The idea behind this thesis was found when we saw different approaches of how companies used social media as a marketing tool. Through a qualitative approach we did eight interviews with six different companies and two social media consults which have given us a basis of what companies really want to achieve with social media. With these interviews we were able to analyze and discuss the abilities to interact with people and how companies distribute content that engage users and increase their credibility to the company..
Persona : En metod att utveckla och införa persona i en organisation
AbstractIn this thesis we aim to extend the current theories about a concept called persona. A persona is a model of a user, mostly based on qualitative research and made with such accuracy that it to some extent can be used as a replacement of a real user in a development process and as a communicative tool. We will present a way of constructing this persona without meeting the actual users and follow up with interviews from the organization using them. This will lead to a model over the process of introducing personas as a concept in an organization,previously not familiar with the concept. Samspel mellan föräldrar och deras 16-månaders barn : Kommunikativ utveckling i relation till mind-mindedness och föräldrasensitivitet
Hur föräldrar samspelar med barn kan ha stor påverkan på barnets språkliga och kommunikativa utveckling. Föräldrasensitivitet och mind-mindedness är två mått som mäter föräldrars samspel. Föräldrasensitivitet mäter förälderns förmåga att uppfatta och tolka barnets signaler och mind-mindedness innefattar förälderns användande av ord som handlar om barnets mentala processer. Dessa mentaliseringsyttranden kan vara intonade eller icke-intonade utifrån situationen och barnets sinnesstämning. I vilken grad föräldrars mind-mindedness och föräldrasensitivitet påverkar olika delar av den kommunikativa utvecklingen är till stora delar fortfarande okänt.Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka om föräldrasensitivitet och föräldrars mind-mindedness korrelerar med kommunikativa förmågor, om mind-mindedness och föräldrasensitivitet korrelerar med varandra samt om några könsskillnader förelåg.
Snus och dosor - Förpackningsdesign, märke och identitet
The purpose of this essay was to examine the packaging design´s communications related to the colloquially brand's symbolic capital and how they became meaningful through experience and perceptions that led to the identification processes in the consumer society. There were eight interviews of snuff users who became my main collections materials. My theoretical framework was discourse psychology´s emphasis on language and Bourdieu´s concept provided important tools in the analysis of the material.I could highlight that packaging design and the brand had influenced the informants and given them symbolic beliefs and what it meant to sniff a certain brand. Color, brand awareness and price were crucial in choosing where the informants attributed themselves the cans symbolic values to their identity. It could be inferred high and low status perceptions based on stereotypes in the design itself..

We will also analyze the positive and negative effects that this development may have had on the already existing brand environment and lastly also review the true importance of the professional industry?s competence. We have chosen the following research question in relation to the purpose; In what way has the basic conditions for artist brands within the music industry changed since the digitalization of the music industry in the early 2000s?
