Att mäta och värdera motståndarens och sin egen krigföringsförmåga är angeläget i alla typer av militära konflikter. Svensk doktrin presenterar pelarmodellen som ett verktyg för detta. Med tanke på att den svenska försvarsmakten genomgått stora förändringar sedan pelarmodellen först introducerades i de svenska doktrinerna är det möjligt att den inte fyller sin funktion i de typer av militära konflikter som Sverige nu deltar i. I denna uppsats genomförs en teoriprövande studie av modellen i syfte att undersöka om den fortfarande är tillämpbar i sin befintliga form. Modellen prövas mot teorier av David Galula och John Warden vilka beskriver två typer av militära operationer som den svenska försvarsmakten deltar eller nyligen har deltagit i.Undersökningen visar att de faktorer som ingår i pelarmodellen också förekommer i Galulas och Wardens teorier samt att pelarmodellen fortfarande är tillämpbar i sin befintliga form.

Everything from carrying boxes and lifting a child to grab the arms and legs in various martial arts, or holding a tennis racket involving the hand and forearm muscles in various ways. It is therefore important to train these muscles to prevent injuries and congestion and to perform well in sport. A well known way to train functional strength in the hand and forearm muscles is weight training with thick handles. The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in muscle activity in the upper arm and forearm muscles as well as the deltoids between two bars of different diameter (28mm and 57mm) in two different weight training exercises using electromyography (EMG).

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze a group of participants (social workers, contact families and the young adults who had been given a contact family as children) and monitor their experience of the intervention contact family and its goals, contents and design. We also wanted to look into what goals and guidelines are available regarding the interventions design and contents. We also looked into parts of the intervention which the participants found most useful for them individually. The method we used in our study was qualitative interviews. We compared and analyzed our results to research made on the subject and the theoretical frame.

The goal of this project was to develop a seesaw that is available for children aged 5-12 years; both with and without disabilities. The project has aimed to develop a seesaw that fits everyone in the target group without looking specially adapted.Children with disabilities have difficulty using today's seesaws because they consist of only a seat and a handle on each side. It requires that the user has strong arms and legs and can sit up without support. Syftet med uppsatsen är att utreda vilka taktiska grundprinciper som användes vid dessa slag samt med hjälp av dessa försöka ge en förklaring till dess utgång.De taktiska grundprinciperna är hämtade ur Doktrin för markoperationer, vilket skall ge en förklaring till huruvida dagens svenska version av dessa kan appliceras på gårdagens slag.Den metod som legat till grund för arbetet är fallstudier baserade på en litteraturstudie. Fallstudierna medför att en djupare analys och beskrivning av händelseförloppen kan ges än om längre epoker i första världskriget skulle ha avhandlats.Arbetet är uppdelat i en inledning, där det ovannämnda är beskrivet. Därefter följer en avhandling där teorin kring de taktiska grundprinciperna beskrivs samt fallstudierna redovisas. Därefter kommer en analys där teorierna appliceras mot fallstudierna.

The aim with my master thesis is to develop and test the applicability of methods to quantify and map solute advective travel times and pollutant transport at the catchment scale. Such quantification and mapping can increase the understanding of catchment-scale pollutant transport in general and contribute to the identification of the main sources of water pollution and the most efficient measures to reduce such pollution. The study area is the catchment of Oxundaån, about 20 km north of Stockholm. For detailed GIS modeling of water flow and catchment-scale contaminant transport in water, I´ve used new high-resolution elevation maps, land cover maps and soil maps combined with other available relevant data..
