There are a large number of studies on Colour and its influence on human feelings, but thereare only a few studies on the association between feelings and Colour combinations. Thisstudie investigates the association between Colour combinations consisting of three equallysized Colours and the feelings they convey. The methodology used in this studie follows theinstructions from the Nippon Colour & Design Research Institute (NCD) in Japan, NCD havestudied consumer psychology towards Colour and Colour combinations for several decades.This study used semantically differential scales to evaluate existing Colour combinations fromNCD to descriptive adjectives and creation of new Colour combinations to explore therelationship between Colour combinations and conveyed feelings. A total of 69 peopleparticipated in the tests. The main conclusions formed by this study are: (1) the feelingsconnected with the Colour combinations differ partly between the Swedish population and theNCD and (2) the Swedish population have similar feeling associations to most Colourcombinations, except for trend dependent adjectives such asmodern, cool etc.

 AbstractThe focus of this essay is the american director Wes Anderson and the use of Colour in his films. I also put some focus on Colour as a neglected element in film studies, and what has caused this neglect. In my own research, I have analysed three of Anderson's films: Bottle Rocket (1996), The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) and The Darjeeling Limited (2007). To get a broad sense of a films use of Colour, I have investigated the Colour scheme, the Colours of the costumes, as well as Colour patterns. I have also interpreted the symbolism related to certain Colours and then used the results of the analyses to answer the question; "how does Wes Anderson use Colour, and in which film is this most apparent?" A very generalizing answer to this question, is that Anderson use Colour as a means of signifying the characters' feelings and ambitions, and also their relations to the themes of the films.

Colour has encountered to be a significant part in marketing, which advantageously can be used in todays competitive market. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the Colours varying associations and present ideas how Colours can affect the hotel business. In coherence with the purpose we deveoled the research question, which resulted in following: How can hotels affect their servicescape and identity by the help of Colour?The study has a qualitative method that began in an empirical problem that has been tested against theory, which subsequently developed the research question. This implies that our study alternated between induction and deduction.

The Colour choice of spiders and the effects of competition on this phenomenon were examined in the laboratory using the sit-and-wait predator goldenrod crab spider (Misumena vatia, (Thomisidae)). This species can  be both white and yellow (could also change Colour)  and it was here examined whether individuals preferred to sit on flowers which has the same Colouration as their bodies. I found that M.vatia showed preference for flowers that matched their own body Colour, but when competition was introduced this preference disappear. It seems, however, that position is a factor that can influences the substrate decisions of M. vatia, where the edge of the flower is preferred..

The river Bivaröd is one of the river Helgeån tributaries which has the highest and the fastest increase in water Colour. The reason behind this increase is unclear but several factors have been suggested to affect this pattern. In this work, I studied the role of land use, iron and precipitation for water Colour increase in river Bivaröd for the period 1976 -2011. Data from a field study along with data from SRK for river Helgeån were used for the analyses. The results showed that both water Colour and iron concentration increase and that there is a strong correlation between these two variables.

Colours have been proven to have both a great physical and psychological impact on human beings. This essay investigates the rebranding of 37 Health Care Centers, located in Norrbotten, Sweden, and how 10 interviewees have experienced the new choice of Colour on the logotypes of these Health Care Centers.The theoretical framework used in this research process, consists of theories related to rebranding, the communication process, encoding/decoding and Goethe?s Theory of Colours.To gather information about how the 10 inhabitants have experienced the new choice of Colour, a semistructured form of interview was used. In addition to these interviews, three people employed by Norrbotten County Council (NLL) were interviewed, to get to know more about the rebranding process and the message behind the chosen Colours of the logotype.Results show that the inhabitants had an overall positive reaction to the new Colour choices, but that younger target groups lacked information about the new logotype and the rebranding.Due to these results, recommendations were made that NLL should expand the quantity of media channels to reach these younger target groups, and thereby be able to attract more patients to their Health Care Centers. NLL would also profit from investigating the inhabitants experiences related to the new Colour choices themselves, but in a larger scale, to achieve greater knowledge of how to proceed with Colour choices in the future..

The design of packages is something that product manufacturers put great effort on. The package is often the consumers' first interaction with a product and consumers judge the product based on the package. A common way to evaluate a package design is to let respondents look at a package and answer which attributes they think the product has. This paper wants to take this evaluation a step further, i.e. it examines if consumers experience differences in taste between two identical products that have different package designs.

The objective of this study was to determine the mineral content in ten New Zealand monofloral honeys, in order to distinguish whether New Zealand monofloral honeys are a good source of minerals compared to honeys from other parts of the world. The ten monofloral honeys were collected from a local honey factory (Airborne Honey Ltd, Leeston), Clover, Honeydew, Kamahi, Manuka, Nodding Thistle, Rata, Rewarewa, Tawari, Thyme and Vipers Bugloss honeys were been investigated. The water content, water activity, pH, conductivity, Colour and mineral content were evaluated. The water activity was averaged for all the ten New Zealand monofloral honeys and set to 0.59 aw, which indicates a high stability and long shelf life as a food stuff. A strong correlation between total mineral content, pH, conductivity and Colour was obtained.

Adjustment to a neutral Colour balance when printing was the starting point in this degree project. Onthis base ICC-profiles were evaluated and assessed. The survey was concentrated on the similarity betweenreproductions on different papers with various ICC-profiles. The Colour balancing introduced aconsistent variable between four graphic papers. With raised uniformity the probability increased toreceive similarities between the various combinations of ICC-profiles and papers.Numerous of measurements and calculations have been carried out, mainly to confirm whether or notadjustment to a neutral Colour balance is possible and repeatable.

The purpose was to verify whether the Swedish retail trade within the beauty care business was ready for an in-troduction of Colour cosmetics. Through the qualitative research grounded theory, I made several phone interviews with independence retail traders within the Swedish beauty care business. The selection of respondents is based on statistical facts and geographic coverage of Swedish beauty care shops.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to evaluate whether it is feasible to use the panchromatic band of Landsat 7 in order to improve the spatial resolution of Colour images. The images are to be used as texture in visual databases for flight simulators and for this reason it is important that the fusion preserves natural Colours.A number of methods for fusing panchromatic and multispectral images are discussed. Four of them are implemented and evaluated. The result is that standard methods such as HSI substitution are not suitable for this purpose since they do not preserve natural Colours. However, if only high frequencies of the panchromatic image are used the resolution can be improved without noticeable Colour distortion..
