ABSTRACTBackground: On behalf of the Orthopedic clinic, Västerås, a study has been conducted with focus on comparing the results after conservative and surgical treatment due to complete achillestendon rupture.Aim: To compare results when testing the active and passive range of motion, calf muscle endurance, estimation of pain related to the achillestendon and self-efficacy to be physically active for individuals who have undergone conservative or surgical treatment after complete achillestendon rupture.Method: 14 individuals afflicted by complete achillestendon rupture in 2010 were recruited as a purposive sample. Examination were conducted of: Ankle range of motion with a goniometer, calf muscle endurance through a toe-raise test, estimation of pain intensity related to the achillestendon by VAS and self-efficacy to be physically active through ?Exercise self-efficacy scale?. P-value and the median were calculated.Result: The results of ankle range of motion and calf muscle endurance were based on the difference between the injured and the healthy side. When testing active plantarflexion the conservative group had a median of 4 ? and the surgical group had a median of 10 ?.

Hur påverkas deras self-efficacy?VT 2007 Antal sidor: 27___________________________________________________________________________Studiens syfte är att bidra med kunskap till och förståelse för vilka faktorer och fenomen som kan vara avgörande för utvecklingen av självbemästring för undersköterskor inom äldreomsorgen. Uppsatsens forskningsfråga formuleras på följande sätt: Hur kan självbemästring påverkas av de arbetsvillkor och arbetsuppgifter undersköterskor ställs inför inom äldreomsorgen? Studiens frågeställning besvaras med hjälp av intervjustudie. De intervjuade var sex undersköterskor med varierande ålder och de har arbetat olika lång tid inom äldreomsorgen Resultaten visade att förmågan att förmedla och att ta emot kunskap inför olika arbetsuppgifter och arbetsvillkor, har en påverkan för utveckling av självbemästring.

Syftet med studien var att utvärdera den multidisciplinära rehabiliteringen inom Garnis Rehabcenter i Boden. Frågeställningarna var: 1)Förändras self- efficacy avseende smärta, funktion och andra symptom efter 2,5 veckor respektive 6 månader? 2)Förändras nivå av skattad smärtintensitet, skattad funktionsförmåga och sjukfrånvaro efter 6 månader? 3)Förändras synen på vilka faktorer som är viktiga för att återgå respektive inte återgå till arbete efter 6 månader? Data vid baseline jämfördes med data efter avslutad behandling 2,5 veckor samt efter 6 månader. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av 23 personer, 19 kvinnor och 4 män, medianålder var 49 år. Samtliga personer i undersökningsgruppen hade diagnosen långvarig smärtproblematik av icke- malign karaktär och var remitterade till Garnis Rehabcenter för smärtrehabilitering.

The Latvian building company Laval un Partneri Ltd (Laval) posted Latvian construction workers at the rebuilding of a school in Vaxholm in autumn 2004. Because the company refused to sign a collective agreement with Svenska Byggnadsarbetareförbundet (Byggnads), which is the Swedish trade union for constructions workers, Byggnads put the construction site under a boycott. Next Laval sued Byggnads for damages in the Swedish Labour Court (AD) because Laval considers the boycott as well as Byggnad´s demand that Laval signs a collective agreement incompatible with EC Law. AD has now demanded a preliminary ruling from the European Court of Justice (ECJ). While waiting for the preliminary ruling from the ECJ, several important questions of principle stand unanswered.

In this essay a social perspective on the mind is explored and argued for. The essay moves from a discussion of a social collective foundation for the individual mind to a discussion ofthe main alternative ways of describing the shared social world, namely an action-centred perspective and a power-centred perspective. It is shown that these two perspectives are combinable. A combination of the two perspectives is therefore recommended for a more balanced way of describing the shared social world. In this essay it is argued for that the individuals? mind and her identity is dependent on the surrounding community.

Syfte: Syftet var att finna skillnader och samband i self-efficacy (SE) ? med avseende på typ av artroplastik, kön och ålder ? inför två förflyttningar. Detta för att se vilka patienter som kan vara i större behov av att stärka SE postoperativt.Metod: Studien gjordes på inneliggande patienter som genomgått en höft- eller knäartroplastik. Ett för undersökningen framställt frågeformulär undersökte de 117 deltagarnas SE inför att sätta sig upp på sängkanten samt gå med hjälpmedel. Deltagarna skattade SE inför förflyttningarna första eller andra dagen efter operationen.Resultat: Deltagare som hade genomgått en knäartroplastik skattade signifikant högre SE inför att sätta sig upp på sängkanten än de som hade genomgått en höftartroplastik.

The aim of this study is to examine Turkish nationalism in order to find what factors that play a part in Turkey's inability to confess and discuss such events as the Armenian Genocide, which took place between the years of 1915.-1923, by the fall of the Ottoman Empire. The factors found and examined closely are collective memory and the use of history. The paper is a case study of Turkey with a theoretical approach, trying to apply theories of nationalism, collective memory and history-writing on Turkish nationalism, in order to find an answer to how these factors stands in the way of reconciliation.Conclusions are that Turkey as a nation is stuck in a romanticization and glorification of the time of their founding leader, Atatürk, and the thought of the pure, homogenous Turkishness. This makes the nation incapable of discussing and accepting what others in this case acknowledges as historical facts. The taboo-making of these matters makes reconciliation today not possible..

Studien handlar om långtidssjuka, utlandsfödda kvinnors upplevelser av den arbetslivsinriktade rehabilitering de har fått och huruvida de upplever att den har varit betydelsefull, värdefull och stärkande för dem och i så fall på vilket sätt. Undersökningen har genomförts med en kvalitativ metod och består av fem semistrukturerade intervjuer med kvinnor i åldern 45-52 år, som är födda i Mellanöstern och har bott i Sverige i mer än 20 år. Gemensamt för samtliga informanter är att de har diagnosen fibromyalgi. Studien visar på att kvinnorna i nuläget mår så dåligt att de sannolikt har ett större behov av medicinsk rehabilitering än arbetslivsinriktad rehabilitering. De upplever att sammanhållna rehabiliteringsprogram och samtalsstöd har varit de rehabiliteringsinsatser som har hjälpt dem i störst utsträckning..

Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva, tolka och analysera framgångsrikt agerande vid påtvingade brytpunkter i karriärutvecklingen. Fem personer har fyllt i ett formulär samt intervjuats angående deras känslor, erfarenheter, motivation och nätverk relaterat till jobbsökandet. Resultatet visade att en mängd olika tillvägagångssätt använts, t.ex. att berätta för bekanta att de söker jobb, kontakta potentiella arbetsgivare samt risktagande. En del av handlandet utfördes med syftet att skaffa jobb, andra handlingar utfördes av andra anledningar, men hade ändå betydelse för framgången i att skaffa jobb.

The way society categorize different people into groups is problematic in the sense that the categorization can seem stigmatizing and have social consequences for those being categorized. Immigrants are one of those problematic categories.The following essay studies this categorization of ?immigrants? based on a governmental investigation of structural discrimination that took place in 2002-2008. The aim is to study the use of the category ?immigrant? and the consequences that follows such a categorization.

AbstractIn this study, then collaboration agreement impact of the work on 11 and 19 § § MBL are studied. The employer and collective agreements bearing employee union are often involved in collaborative agreements to facilitate cooperation between them. Issues addressed to collaboration areoften questions related to employee participation. The purpose of this study is to investigate two local employers and related collective bearing employee unionsview of the cooperation agreement related to the MBL. The purpose leads to these questions:?How can co-operation agreements affect 11 and 19 § § MBL??What are theadvantages and disadvantages cooperation agreementscan lead to, regardingemployer disclosure and negotiation duty?To try to sort out these issues are interviews conducted to create a greater understanding of the work of the Cooperation Agreement between organizations and how it affects them.Results of the study suggest that collaboration agreement leads to simplifications in the work of the employer's information and bargaining duty.

Abstract [sv]Titel: Revisorns självförtroende vid förhandlingNivå: C-uppsats i ämnet företagsekonomi.Författare: Henrik Alvin Rydén.Handledare: Jan Svanberg.Datum: 2015-05Syfte: Syftet med den här studien är att beskriva vilka faktorer av transformellt ledarskap, identifikation och förhandlingsbeteende som kan ha ett samband med revisorns upplevda self-efficacy i en förhandlingskontext.Metod: Uppsatsen har ett deduktivt förhållande till teori och utvecklar flera hypoteser som sedan testas. Datainsamlingen sker med hjälp av en enkätundersökning. Urvalet består av 3 300 revisorer i Sverige, auktoriserade och godkända. Analysen av insamlad data sker med hjälp av datorprogrammet SPSS och statistiska metoder som Principalkomponentanalys (PCA), korrelationsanalys och multipel linjär regression.Resultat och slutsats: Distributivt förhandlingsbeteende har ett delvis negativt samband med self-efficacy. Resultaten är dock inte entydiga och ger inte tillräckligt stöd för att motivera ett accepterande av hypotesen.

Denna undersökning avser att belysa flickor som gjort könsbrytande val till gymnasiet. Antalet flickor som gör könsbrytande gymnasieval har ökat något de senaste åren. Enligt vägledningsteorin Social Cognitive Career Theory, SCCT, gör individer ?karriärval? utifrån sin subjektiva prestationsförmåga, den s.k.?self-efficacy?. Beroende av hur individen uppfattar sin egen förmåga och värderar sig själv, vidgas eller minskas handlingsutrymmet.

Abstract 1.The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects whole body vibrations on maximal strength, power output and neuromuscular activity in m. pectoralis major during bench press.Participants consisted of 35 male and 9 female military high school students (m=23, 1 years). On the basis of initial maximal performances in bench press the participants was divided into two experiments groups and one control group. Intervention groups performed a specifically designed push up program on a vibrating plate respectively a step board during 12 weeks Initial load at 60 % of 1 RM showed an average of 46, 5 kg. All groups showed an average increase of 13 kg for each person after 12 weeks.

In order for any society to exist there must be a sense of belonging. In other words "We" need to be made distinctive and differentiated from "the Others". The aim of this thesis is to examine the processes behind the making and upholding of collective identities and the consequences of doing so. Theories regarding stereotypes, enemy images, power over the discourse and glocalization have therefore been applied to an empirical example in the form of a case study.The study is made on the municipality of Laxå in Sweden. Representatives on assumed key positions have been interviewed on their and Laxå's inhabitants views on the asylum seekers in the community between the years 1986 and 2005.Yet another aim of the thesis is to examine the possible connection between the perceived collective identity and the decision to close down the asylum facility in Laxå.
