This work is a study in how I as a designer can create the conditions for people to work, socializing and refreshments at one place. A place that encourages creativity, where I made a suggestion at a community table designed for Urban Deli?s new business. By visiting various similar sites I have identified what I think is important in an environment like this and then gave an answer to it in a visual form.A cafe-office will draw lots of different people. Which guests come here to work? Residents, freelancers, but also those who may want surrounded by a new creative work place and maybe leave their regular offices for a day at Urban Deli.

The aim of this observational study was to see how social interaction works in nursing homesdayroom. The focus was to study the staff and the residents during lunch, afternoon Coffee,and during the eventual common activity. The observation persons were passive and they didnot communicate with either staff nor with the residents. The theoretical framework usedwas Georetrendens theory, KASAM and Communication theory. The results showedthat social interaction in the dayroom of the nursing home is rarely spontaneous, but mustinstead be planned by the staff.

Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka efterfrågan på Rättvisemärkt kaffe och vilka faktorer som påverkar denna. I uppsatsen diskuteras även hur rättvist Rättvisemärkt är egentligen och ifall producenter i u-länder påverkas positivt eller negativt av att konsumenter i väst handlar Rättvisemärkt.  För att utreda efterfrågan har en betalningsviljestudie genomförts på studenter på Karlstads Universitet. Resultaten från studien pekar på att efterfrågan på Rättvisemärkt kaffe är relativt hög bland studenterna, vilket överensstämmer med tidigare rapporter som visat att efterfrågan på Rättvisemärkt kaffe ökar. Vad det gäller faktorer som påverkar betalningsviljan har kön samt inkomst visat sig vara av betydelse. Ålder verkar dock inte vara en avgörande faktor.För att utreda hur rättvist Rättvisemärkt egentligen är har en litteraturbaserad studie om Rättvisemärkts för- och nackdelar gjorts.

Examensarbetet Justerbar serveringsmodul utfördes under vintern 06-07 på Coffee Queen AB i Arvika. Uppdraget var att lösa problemet med att olika stora koppar används i kaffe maskiner. Problemet krävde någon form av justerbar anordning för att undvika spill och liknande. Efter konkurrentanalys och en del funderande genererades två principlösningar flytta koppen eller kaffeutloppet. En kopphylla steglöst justerbar med hjälp av magneter valdes ut att gå vidare med.

Through the different stages of life people have different requirements for their homes. The requirements changes depending on people?s life situation, lifestyleand age. Depending on where people are in life they live in different place, often in areas with other people who are in the same stage of life. In Sweden, this separation has always been noticeable, sometimes more than other.

This paper attempts to study the Swedish tariffs during the interwar period in order to asses the level of protectionism in Swedish tariff policy during the period. It is foremost the nominal tariffs that are studied, however an estimate of the effective rate of protection of the tariffs is also calculated for a number of goods. In order to asses the level of protectionism, the Swedish tariffs are also compared with Finnish tariff levels during the interwar period.The sample of Swedish tariffs that have been studied in this paper include the fifteen most important kinds of import goods and the fifteen most important kinds of export goods. The nominal tariff of each kind of goods have been weighted by their share of the total import value.The Swedish specific tariffs did not change much during the interwar period except for a few goods such as petroleum, Coffee and automobiles. The fluctuation in nominal tariffs were in most cases the result of the steep fall in prices during the period.

Companies often develop a line extension to broaden consumer range through product attributes including quality, function and design. These developed attributes within the product are not always optimal for the consumer. As a result, companies often become entangled in having a price higher than the cost and benefit of the products. This essay aims to analyze the consumer value of line extension products and how these evaluations relate to extended line product pricing.

Flustret is a restaurant and an entertainment place situated by Svandammen in Uppsala. It all began in 1842 as a café serving Coffee, tea, chocolate and pastry. During the years the building has had numbers of different owners. The owners of today are running Flustret in a same friendly spirit that has been characteristic from the beginning. The buldings history is now approaching an age of 165 years. Throughout the years different historical layers have been placed on top of each other, leaving a layer of patches.

ILS iteratively samples local minima by modifying the current local minimum and restartinga local search porcedure on this modified solution. This thesis will show how ILS can be implemented for MSA.

AbstractThe aim with the study was to describe and to compare nurse students' views about importantcaring behaviors in order to give good caring. An empirical comparative study wasimplemented on a college in the middle of Sweden. Nurse students in the beginning and at theend of their education sorted and prioritized 50 caring behaviors (CARE-Q). The result showedthat the students' description of important caring behaviors has many similarities. However, theresult also showed that there were significant differences between the student-groups where thestudents at the beginning of their education rated several caring behavior as significant moreimportant than the students in the end of their education.
