Bristande kommunikation inom operationsteamet uppstår i genomsnitt vid 1/3 av alla operationer och är den vanligaste orsaken till att patienter kommer till skada. Eftersom det är många olika yrkeskategorier inom operationskontexten, med olika placering i hierarkin, är det av yttersta vikt att skapa en tillåtande kommunikationsmiljö för att göra det möjligt för alla teammedlemmar att kommunicera. Sättet att kommunicera på skiljer sig mellan yrkesgrupperna beroende på genus, hierarki, utbildning samt traditioner. För att relationen till patienten skall bli så bra som möjligt är det viktigt att teamets kommunikation är god. Har teamet en god kommunikation blir relationen till patienten automatiskt bättre.

Background: Studies have shown that 66 children and teenagers in Sweden suffers from brain tumor every year. Children and teenagers who can´t participate in the regular school for a longer time for whatever reason, have by the school law the right to education in hospitals or institutions. Education that take place in other places than school most try to follow the same guidelines as his/hers usual school.  This applies to students in elementary school, compulsory school, special school, Sami school, secondary school and upper secondary school.Purpose:  The purpose of this study was to find out how three teachers at a hospital school plans their work with children in grade from 1 to 3, who suffer from cancer, especially brain tumor.  How can the teachers at the hospital school plan and organize their teaching so that it´s possible for the children whit brain tumor to feel as normal as possible. How does the common work between the consultant nurse, teachers at the hospitals and their ordinary school prevent the children to feel like an outsider?Method: I have chosen to do a qualitative study followed by three interviews whit three informants who works at a hospital school.

Gränsöverskridande brottslighet i Haparanda och Torneå ställer stora krav på det polisiära samarbetet. Detta sker enligt de lagar och regler som finns idag. De behöver förbättras och därför har Rikspolisstyrelsen (RPS) arbetat fram ett lagändringsförslag som ska underlätta samarbetet. Finland jobbar för motsvarande lagändringsförslag. Syftet med detta arbete är att beskriva de polisiära samarbetsformer som finns idag mellan polisområdena, samt framtida samarbetsmöjligheter med lagförslaget från RPS.

This Masters thesis in Library and Information Science has the title The New Information Desks at Malmö Public Library . During the rebuilding of the library in Malmö a new information desk was developed. This desk differs to a great extent from conventional information desks used in libraries. The information desk is triangular with rounded edges which allows the librarian and the user of the library to work side by side without any physical barriers. The aim of this thesis is to explore the requirements for the information desks formulated by the library and how they are perceived by the librarians and the users of the library.

Background:Chronic heart failure (CHF) is a complex clinical condition. The higher survival rate after heart attack and other heart diseases, plus aging population, has led to more CHF patients. Symptoms can have negative impact on exercise capacity, ability to perform activities of daily living and quality of life. Heart failure clinics have been established to help better quality of life. Helping to stabilize and maintain patients´ health can reduce the need of hospital admission.

Människan har i alla tider försökt att lindra smärta och lidande på olika sätt. I Sverige visas det att postoperativ smärta inte är tillräckligt behandlad. Patienter beskriver fortfarande att de upplever svår till mycket svår smärta efter operation. Detta trots att mycket bra analgetika finns att tillgå. Smärta är en subjektiv upplevelse och patienten behöver behandlas individuellt.

Social workers in this study describes various experiences of the assessments of interventions for children and adolescents. Social workers experience of the many different situations where an assessment of best effort must be made on the basis of BBIC, which is the Social Services investigation records. To make this assessment, the Social workers need social assistance and support of their colleagues and manager. Knowledge mixed with experience is also an important part when it comes to being professional and not let emotions control that could otherwise be happened when the social worker meets and builds relationships with clients. Social workers are also those who will decide which achievement the client needs from the needs.

Fördomar är något vi alla har och delvis behöver för att kunna fungera i vardagen. Genom fördomar skapar vi en ordning i tillvaron som leder till att vi inte behöver ta in all information i varje given situation, detta vore nästan omöjligt med hänsyn till begränsningarna i vårat kognitiva system. I denna rapport vill vi undersöka hur dessa fördomar påverkar vittnens bedömning av en situation eller händelse och de som är inblandade. Då vi omedvetet använder våra förutfattade meningar och tidigare erfarenheter för att tolka världen omkring oss, går det att misstänka att det även påverkar vittnesutsagor. I rapporten har vi använt oss av fyra stycken studier om vittnen till våldsbrott, tre stycken intervjuer med erfarna poliser, kurslitteratur i tillämpliga delar samt annan litteratur.

Difficult calvings and stillborn calves are costly for the producer and lowering these frequencies can decrease the costs for the dairy operation. Each calving in the herd is registered by the farmer and stored in a central database. The information is used to monitor the level of calving-difficulties and stillborn calves in the herd and nationally. Monitoring of these registrations is important to detect possible changes. Breeding-value prediction for calving traits is based on the calving information in the database.

Idag reser människor till allt fler länder för att utföra operationer. Tack vare Internet kan man idag hitta billiga flygresor och information om vad som är bra och mindre bra. Medicinsk turism handlar bland annat om situationer när en patient reser från en plats till en annan plats, ofta belägna i olika länder, för att utföra en medicinsk behandling. Denna behandling kan innehålla bland annat tandvård, fertilitetsbehandling (ofrivillig barnlöshet) och kosmetisk kirurgi. Medicinsk turism har ökat med åren genom att fler och fler resebyråer har specialiserat sig inom medicinsk turism.

Sjuksköterskor har ansvar för att barn är behandlade i överensstämmelse med barnens rättigheter och att interagera med dem. I bakgrunden beskriver en studie att barn upplever att sjuksköterskor inte lyssnar på dem. Barn är sårbara eftersom de är underlägsna både sina föräldrar och sjuksköterskorna beroende på deras både åldersmässiga och kunskapsmässiga övertag. Det är därför viktigt för sjuksköterskor att ge barn möjligheten att delta i beslutsfattande processer, vilket kan få dem att känna sig inkluderade, respekterade och lyssnade på som individer. På så sätt kan sjuksköterskor kommunicera trygghet.

This thesis was commissioned by Volvo Powertrain, where manufacturing and assembling of transmissions is performed, which is used in the company's trucks and buses. The thesis has consisted of a case study that intends to study the problem areas in the current proposed activities and continuous improvements in the assembly department in the Volvo Powertrain facility.In the current situation, the proposals that are submitted by the employees suggest mainly minor improvements. The proposals concern for example, labelling of materials boxes and holders for tools, which do not generate any significant profit for the company. Directors and executives want an increased amount of proposals with a more results-oriented type, in terms of reduced costs, time consumption and stops, and improved quality. The company would also deal with the problems that arise when implementing improvements in the production.

Velopharyngeal insufficiency may affect resonance, articulation and thus how speech is perceived by other listeners. Velopharyngeal insufficiency is frequently found in the cleft palate population due to structural abnormalities of the palate. The pharyngeal flap is the most commonly used operation designed to improve velopharyngeal function. The aim of the present study was to compare speech before and after pharyngeal flap surgery by perceptual evaluation regarding nasality, articulation and deviant speech. The study includes preoperative and postoperative speech samples of 28 patients who underwent pharyngeal flap surgery at the University Hospital in Linköping between 2002 and 2007.

In Sweden a person is either unlimited or limited liable to tax. It is important to define this status since the consequence of being unlimited liable to tax according to chapter 3 § 8 Swedish income tax law (1999:1229) is imposed tax on every revenue from Sweden and overseas. When deciding the fiscal status Sweden uses the principle of domicile which makes the home of the taxable person important.Despite domilication in another country a person can be considered to have such bonds to Sweden that they still should be unlimited liable to tax here. During the development of the Swedish communal tax law (1928:370) the term essential linkage was introduced. There are numerous factors which can affect this assessment but in case-law some factors have been considered more important than others.
