This thesis work is a 30hp D-level assignment in design as a co-operation between MälardalenUniversity and Scania CV AB in Södertälje. The purpose was to develope a close fitted catwalk.The market has seen an increasing value for these types of applications and have the ambition to keep up with the rest of the competitors. The catwalks of todays standards shall be estetical attractive, have a non slippery surface and be costefficient.While working with this project I have spent a lot of time with the concept proposals and with the evaluation of the concepts, resulting in a final CAD model and a approximation of the cost estimate. The aim of this study was to create a greater understanding of apostates, by analyzing narratives of five ex-members regarding their exit from Jehovah?s Witnesses. I conducted interviews to gather descriptions from specific individuals in relation to their experiences, mainly focusing on the role of an ex-member of a specific group. The informants in the study were 38-73 years old, three women and two men. The empirical data I collected was later coded through qualitative content analysis, where central topics and themes formed the basis for the analysis of the results.

The purpose of this Bachelor Thesis is to investigate whether the introduction of IFRS, and in particular IAS 40 regarding fair value accounting of investment property, has lead to increased financial risk for Swedish real estate companies. Financial risk is measured using several financial risk ratios during the period 2000-2009, effectively covering the period before and after the introduction in 2005. The financial risk is found to actually have decreased significantly in comparison with the control group. The relative decrease supports the notion of a factor unique to the real estate companies at least partially driving the change, possibly IAS 40. However, this change is, due to the statistic method employed, only an indication of the direction of change, and consequently interpretations of the magnitude of change cannot be made.

The open air museum of Disagården is situated in the Old Uppsala parish, Uppsala municipality, are projected to portray a double row village, before the land enclosure, on the Uppsala plain during the 1860s and 1870s. Disagården operates under the County Museum of Uppland and serves as an exhibit of Uppland's farming culture during the late 19th century. However, an open-air museum is a complex institution where many interests are linked together. Disagården aims to simultaneously portray an historical environment while offering broad public appeal. The Disagården open air museum was inaugurated in 1931 and consists of relocated buildings that together form three farm complexes "Gränbygården", "Skuttungegården" and "Bärbygården". The thesis explores how the close surroundings of a typical farm in Uppland looked during the 1860s and 1870s. This historical depiction has then been applied to Disagården in a development suggestion creating a foundation from which Disagården can structure the close cultivation of the different farms. The basis of the development program has primarily been compiled through archival and literary studies but also through on-site visits and interviews. How did the concept of open air museums start and what were the ideas behind the concept? Which external influences affected the situating of cultivations and buildings? Which crops and species were present on the farms in Uppland during the specified time period? What was the relation of the different structures to each other? Which organizations had influences on the farmer's household of the Uppland plain? The thesis attempts to clarify the answers to these questions. The influences affecting on the farmer's household in Uppland were probably numerous.

Väntan på transplantation kan vara en komplex situation för patient och anhörig. Studiens syfte var att belysa vad patienter och deras anhöriga upplever när de står i kö för en organtransplantation. Metoden som användes var en kvalitativ ansats där fyra självbiografier lästes och analyserades.I resultatet framkom att upplevelserna startade med beskedet om att transplantation var nödvändig för den fortsatta överlevnaden, tills beskedet om transplantation kom och patienterna lades in för operation.Analysen av den insamlade datan resulterade i fem kategorier: Insikten om sjukdomens allvar, Mellan hopp och förtvivlan, Tankar kring döden, Samvetskval och Ett efterlängtat besked. Resultatet kan användas till att öka förståelsen hos vårdpersonal för vad patienterna och deras anhöriga genomgår känslomässigt under deras väntan på organtransplantation..

The ambition of this essay is to examine if groups on Facebook are examples of ?slacktivism? and discuss which qualifications these groups have in order to provide a democratic conversation. The results will be discussed relative to democratic participant, information overload, interactivity and previous research. By nethnographically observing three groups and analyzing selected posts and comments with the critical discourse analysis one can see that slacktivism spreads easily by people liking and sharing posts from the groups to their friends. The particular groups that has been analyzed in this essay are committed to save Swedish traditions that they believe is threatened.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the local debate on the Music library in Västervik to see what arguments, pro et contra, that constitutes it. Since its opening the Music library has faced regular threats of being closed down. This is an issue interesting due to several factors, its lack of guaranteed public funding and relative importance to Västervik´s attempts at city branding being two. Using argument analysis, the thesis proposes that the local debate shows traces of both instrumental and culture centered, intrinsical views of the Music library, and that the instrumental view holds both negative and positive poles of opinion while the intrinsical counterpart is one-sidedly positive. This master thesis is about the production of the record ?Brutus? with the band ?Trilobit?. Trilobit consists of the three musicians, myself, Stina Hellberg Agback on pedal harp, Simon Sva?rd on guitar and Karl Jansson on drums.During the production, I have analyzed different aspects of my own musicality and also the role of the pedal harp in jazz. Syfte och frågeställningar:Studiens huvudsakliga syfte var att undersöka vilka elever som går på Sveriges elitinnebandygymnasier efter reformen av den gymnasiala idrottsutbildningen.Ytterligare ett syfte var att urskilja påverkansfaktorer i utvecklingsprocessen som innebandyspelare.- Hur ser förekomsten av relative age effect ut på elevpopulationen?- Hur upplever eleverna sina förväntningar och egna förmåga i sitt innebandyutövande?- Hur ser elevernas idrottsbakgrund ut?Metod: Enkätundersökning har använts som metod i denna studie. Totalt har 132 elever på Sveriges elitinnebandygymnasier besvarat enkäten. Könsfördelningen var 46 flickor och 86 pojkar. Enkäten bestod av både öppna och slutna frågor där eleverna fick besvara frågor som rörde deras idrottande idag samt idrottsbakgrund.Resultat: Elevernas födelsefördelning var spridd sett till hela populationen.
