AimThe aim of this study was to develop and perform a reliability test of a questionnaire regarding side dominance in order to identify the dominant/non-dominant side in students at the Swedish alpine ski high school.MethodA questionnaire of side dominance of the upper and lower extremity was developed, and its reliability was tested according to the test-retest design. A total of 121 subjects answered the questionnaire twice. The questionnaire included five questions about side dominance, i.e. what hand/arm or foot/leg (left /right) that one prefers to use as a first choice when writing, throwing, kicking a ball, jumping over a fence and stair climbing. Furthermore, there was a question whether the responder has a safer/better ski turn to the left or to the right.

Med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys med manifest ansats analyserades tio artiklar.

Background: Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a large public health problem that foremost affects both women and children, nationally and globally. Several accessible reports about IPV and education for staff that in their occupation can meet battered people shows the importance of increased education for several occupational groups to decrease the large number of unrecorded cases.Purpose: The study explored how six occupational groups, in the municipality of Kungälv, related to IPV in their professions, were influenced by whether they had education in IPV or not.Method: We chose a quantitative approach, a cross sectional study. A questionnaire was constructed and handed out to 156 participations. The occupational groups were a section in a hospital, the police, the home care services, an elementary school, a pre-school and the public dental care. The answer frequency was 86 %.

Ytterligare ett syfte var att kvalitetssäkra mätinstrumentets formulering och svarsalternativ.Metod: Arbetet var en kvantitativ tvärsnittsstudie. Datainsamlingen gjordes med hjälp av enkät ?Impact of Event Scale? (IES) samt en enkät utformad enligt ?The Question and Answer Model? (QAM) för att kvalitetssäkra IES.

When the Tranemo library moved to new localities in 1991 there were also some changes made to make the library more user-friendly. The purpose of this essay is to see how a useroriented change can be done and how it has been perceived by members of the library staff and the library users.This is done by the following means:l) interviews with members of the library staff,2) a questionnaire to the users in Tranemo,3) a comparative questionnaire to users of the libraries in Skara and Lerum.The comparison was concentrated on how the library presents its material. The result of this comparison shows that even though there is a difference among the three libraries, the difference is small and it is impossible to say for sure that it has anything to do with the changes that have been done. The interviews and questionnaire in Tranemo give a positive picture of that library..

This is a study of foster homes. In this thesis, it is investigated if it is possible to create a common factor of the work tasks done by an air traffic controller, which then can measure workload. This will lead to the development of a tool to measure workload at small airports. In the research project a questionnaire is created to measure the different tasks an air traffic controller has. The same questionnaire will also measure the number of environmental factors that exists around the air traffic controller. This essay discusses different opinions about experimental archaeology. To start with literature was examined and a questionnaire was sent out to students and working archaeologists. The possibility for experiments to mediate archaeology to people without an education in archaeology is lifted and is also mentioned in the questionnaire. Studien baserades på 11 vetenskapliga artiklar som analyserades med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys med manifest ansats. Analysen resulterade i fem kategorier: att vilja göra allt för sin partner och vilja vara delaktig, att känslorna är svåra att hantera, att den sexuella relationen förändras, att söka balans i livet och att ha behov av att prata, få stöd och förståelig information.

Syftet med studien är att öka kunskapen om män som har en impulsiv aggressivitet riktad mot sin partner, och om männens brister i affektmedvetenhet (alexitymi) samt deras förmåga till empati och om de skiljer sig i dessa aspekter från män som söker hjälp för relationsproblem på Manscentrum. 20 män med våldsamt beteende och 20 med relationsproblem fyllde i Aggression Questionnaire-Revised Swedish Version (AQ-RSV), Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20) och Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI). Resultaten visade ett positivt samband mellan aggressivitet och alexitymi i hela populationen och ett negativt samband mellan alexitymi och empati. De våldsamma männen var också aggressivare enligt AQ-RSV än de med relationsproblem, men inga andra skillnader var signifikanta. De män som hade erfarenhet av våld i ursprungsfamiljen hade ett starkare samband när det gäller aggressivitet och alexitymi.

Around 30,000 people in Sweden suffer stroke every year, out of which about 12,000 end up with language difficulties, aphasia. Behind every person with aphasia there are significant others whose lives are also affected. Studies of how aphasia affects the health of these people are few. The overall aim of the present study was to examine how significant others of people with aphasia perceive their life situation, and how their quality of life is affected by the illness of their partner. Spouses of people with aphasia were contacted through aphasia groups and the Swedish Aphasia Association.
