The purpose of this paper is to present a possible understanding of why the company Tekola is segregated according to sex. In accordance to this purpose, an understanding of how the segregation affects the employees in relation to power, values and possibilities is discussed. The theoretical understanding is that the organization of men and women within Tekola is done in close connection to creation of the meaning of gender in Tekola. This, in turn, affects and is affected by the recruitment to and within the company. Through the study of statistics from a survey, five interviews with employees and former employees and Tekolas? equality plan, we are able to see the possible existence of a glass ceiling, and a culture of homosociality, which affects the possibilities of women to enter the company and also to gain full entrance to power-positions in a negative way.

Klamydia har ökat de sex senaste åren, vilket kan inverka negativt på flickor förutsättningar för att bli fertila senare i livet. Inriktningen på uppsatsen är ungdomars kunskaper och inställning till kondomanvändning och klamydia. Föresatsen var att även få en överblick av det förebyggande arbete som redan pågår i samhället. Sammantaget var avsikten att undersöka om ungdomarnas kunskaper är tillräckliga, varifrån kommer deras kunskaper och även inställning till kondomanvändning samt vilka faktorer påverkar att kondomen används.En kvantitativ studie har genomförts på två olika ungdomsmottagningar. Resultaten visar att ungdomar har kunskaper om kondomanvändning och klamydia och att det är många olika faktorer som påverkar att kondomen inte används.

Kroppsmissnöje är mer utbrett hos kvinnor än hos män visar tidigare studier (Feingold & Mazzella, 1998) men även män börjar bli kroppsmissnöjda (Cash, Morrow, Hrabosky & Perry, 2004). Detta undersöktes tillsammans med självkänsla och kroppsjämförelse hos män och kvinnor och även de som har partner eller är singlar i ljuset av Social Comparison Theory och Cognitive Dissonance Theory. 133 personer testades med Body-Esteem scale, Figure Drawing Rating Scale, Self-esteem Scale och Universalistic Social Comparison Scale. Resultatet indikerar att båda könen är relativt nöjda men kvinnorna är något mindre nöjda med utseendet med sin kropp. Studien visar även att kvinnors idealbild är en smalare kropp medan männens idealbild är en muskulösare kropp.

De utför ett osynligt och oavlönat arbete och saknar ibland stöd och förståelse från den formella vårdapparaten. Syfte: Det övergripande syftet med litteraturstudien var att undersöka erfarenheter hos äldre som vårdar sin partner i hemmet utifrån ett genusperspektiv. Metod: Litteraturstudien har genomförts under vägledning av Fribergs (2006) metodavsnitt om att göra en litteraturöversikt. Som teoretisk referensram har ett genusperspektiv anlagts.

AbstractAim: The aim of this study was to investigate if treatment with ?dry needling? in myofascial triggerpoints (MTrPs) in the rotatorcuff muscles may affect impingement symptoms such as pain during provocative tests, shoulder mobility, and function. The research questions were: Does the value of pain change on the Visual Analog Pain Scale (VAS) between before and after treatment? Do the positive provocative tests for impingement change between before and after treatment? Does the active shoulder mobility change between before and after treatment? Does the self-rated function change between before and after treatment?Method: The study was a prospective randomized intervention study and 19 persons with impingement symptoms (mean ± standard deviation; 58 ± 18 years, and shoulder pain duration 3.9 ± 1.6 months) were randomized into two groups. The groups were tested before, directly after and 3 weeks after treatment.

The world is "shrinking" because of the Internet and our perception of distance is changing.VMC is becoming increasingly available, in the form of applications like Skype and MSN for mobile phones and computers, and in addition, it?s practically free.The purpose of this thesis is to render a picture of the way in which people use Skype in the private sphere.

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att utifrån forskning på området göra en kunskapsöversikt gällande kvinnor med funktionsnedsättning och riskfaktorer för att utsättas för övergrepp. Våra teman var funktionsnedsättning, övergrepp och riskfaktorer. Vi har tolkat resultaten med hjälp av rutinaktivitetsteori. Vi har utifrån forskningen identifierat olika faktorer som kan vara förknippade med ökad risk för att utsättas för övergrepp. Att vara kvinna, beroende av andra och isolering är exempel på riskfaktorer.

Open access to scientific literature on Internet is a concept which is supposed to change librarians' work. The aim of the thesis was to examine librarians' perception of Open access. A questionnaire survey was conducted among librarians at libraries with specialisation in technique, natural sciences, medicine and pharmacy in Sweden. Even though Open access can be regarded as an alarming for librarians' work, the results of the survey showed that the future of the librarians' profession can be positive if they flexibly adopt their work routines according to changes in publication forms and library users' needs..

Body awareness is a term that refers to a person´s perception and knowledge about his or her body. It includes proportion, size, weight, contour and image of ones body. The Ben- Tovim Walker Body Attitudes Questionnaire (BAQ) contains 44 questions concerning the different aspects of body awareness: Feeling fat, Body disparagement, Strength and fitness, Salience of weight, Attractiveness and Lower body fatness. The purpose of this study was to investigate body awareness among men in military recruit training. BAQ was distributed to fifty recruits for military service in Boden.

Veterinary medicine is not merely an area of occupation but also an area of business. In a business the customer service is its identity and brand and more importantly what makes the client choose and recommend the clinic to other potential customers. The licensed veterinary nurse is habitually the one who first meets the clients at the clinic. Therefore it is particularly important for the licensed veterinary nurse at the clinic to offer high-quality customer service. The object of this study was to understand and elucidate how the pet owners experience the encounter with the licensed veterinary nurse at different stages in their contact with the clinic.

Hur personlighet och attribut påverkar arbetsprestation har längevarit ett aktuellt forskningsområde inom organisationspsykologin. Vipresenterar i vår studie Anknytningsteori, samt hur anknytningsstilaroch beteenden kan kopplas till arbetsrelaterade situationer ochproblem. Anknytningsteorin försöker förklara människorsinterpersonella relationstendenser. Med hjälp av mätinstrumentetAttachment Style Questionnaire (ASQ) undersöker vi poliser (n=50)och sjuksköterskors (n=83) anknytningsstil för att ge grund för vårahypoteser om yrkesdoktrinens påverkan på fördelningen avanknytningsstilar. Statistiskt säkerställda skillnader existerargrupperna emellan vad gällande anknytningsbeteende där poliseruppmäter högre värden på målinriktade delskalor och sjuksköterskorhögre på relationsbaserade.
