Assessment of hearing aids can be done by inventories. The result of the inventories can show the patients need and how the hearing aids works in the patients daily life. The result of the inventories can be influenced by the difference in languages and the cultures. The inventory IOI-HA should not be sensitive to those factors.The aim of this study was to compare and analyse material, method and to report and analyse the result from a pilot study made at Sahlgrenska University.The result showed that IOI-HA is a natural inventory which is able to be used internationally. The four studies in England, USA, the Netherlands, and Germany showed that the psychometric properties are similar across languages and cultures.

VikingGenetics is one of the world's largest breeding companies. 2008 was launched two new products, X-Vik and GenVik. Now VikingGenetics want to get information about the effects of the marketing. We have investigated the differences in knowledge and use of the products between different livestock associations, size of herd and farmers' breeding interests. The method used was by sending out a questionnaire by mail.

The aim of this study was to examine the differences in experience of the dental hygienist education between newly examined dental hygienists born abroad and born in Sweden. A quantitative study was performed. The questionnaire was sent out to all dental hygienist (n=162) examined in Sweden 2006, except newly examined dental hygienists in Karlstad University which is a distance education. The number who answered after the reminder was 102 respondents, 24 born abroad and 78 born in Sweden. The questionnaire contained 20 open and closed questions.

Livssituationen hos både personen som insjuknat i stroke och närstående kan förändras i form av att personen som fått stroke hamnar i en beroendesituation till sina närstående.SyfteBeskriva hur par upplever relationen efter att en av dem insjuknat i stroke.MetodLitteraturstudie användes som metod för studien och 16 artiklar, varav tio kvalitativa och sex kvantitativa inkluderades. Inkluderade artiklar hade etiskt tillstånd för genomförande.Databassökningar utfördes i databaserna PubMed, Cinahl, SveMed+ samt PsycINFO med varierande sökningsresultat. Vid dataanalys söktes likheter och skillnader i de inkluderade artiklarna.ResultatRelationen förändras och vissa partners uttryckte upplevelser av att vara en vårdande partner.

Knowledge regarding pain and pain treatment is an essential part within nursing that a nurse is responsible for. Earlier studies have shown that lack of that kind of knowledge often results in inadequate treatment for pain. The purpose with the study was to describe nurses? knowledge regarding pain and pain treatment at a medical unit in a hospital in central Sweden, and to see if there was a distinction in knowledge related to professional experience. Data was collected through a questionnaire with questions referring to pain (6 questions) and pain treatment (6 questions).

I have used both earlierresearch and questionnaire surveys in order to fulfill the purpose. In earlier research, I haveused research based on materials that are scientific. According to the researchers it isimportant that the children and young people become involved and dedicated to theenvironment and its surrounding world. I studien undersöks hur människor som levt med en partner med alkoholbroende upplever svårigheterna med det samt även hur insikt om medberende kan komma till stånd samt hur insikten kan bidra till att förändra situationen. Studien undersöker även vilka faktorer som kan spela in för vändpunkter i medberoendet. Urvalet bestod av fyra personer som ansåg sig vara medberoende. Med utgångspunkt från studiens syfte valdes kvalitativa intervjuer som insamlingsmetod för att ta reda på hur personer som lever/levt med en partner med ett alkoholberoende upplever sin situation som medberoende. Under november månad år 2005 genomfördes fyra intervjuer.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between physical activity and perceived stress, energy and musculoskeletal disorders among office-workers and warehouse-workers and also to see if there were any differences depending on work-place and gender. The method that was used to collect data was three different validated questionnaires that measured stress and energy (the Stress-Energy questionnaire), musculoskeletal disorders (intensity and localization of pain, a Pain Drawing questionnaire with a VAS-scale) and physical activity (IPAQ ? the short version). Eighty-eight workers participated in the study. Forty-seven of them were office-workers and forty-one were warehouse-workers.

Bakgrund: I Sverige drabbas 8000 kvinnor av bröstcancer varje år. Dessa kvinnor utsätts för både kroppsliga och emotionella biverkningar och förändringar. Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt är att belysa hur kvinnor som drabbas av bröstcancer upplever att deras sexualitet påverkas av sjukdom och behandling. Metod: Metoden var en litteraturstudie. Resultat: Ett huvudtema framkom en förändrad identitet; och fem subteman: kroppsliga förändringar, känna sig okvinnlig, relationens betydelse, kommunikationens betydelse för att komma vidare och sjukvårdens betydelse.

Background: During the last decade climbing has become more popular and the numbers of climbers in Sweden have increased considerably. Most common are overuse injuries caused by the great stress and strain climbing creates on different parts of the body. Previous studies show that 75-90% of climbing injuries are localised in the upper extremity. Injuries affecting the lower extremity occur often acute and traumatic. Based on these facts and that the number of climbers constantly grows, it is more likely that the need of care from physiotherapist among climbers will increase.

Alzheimers kan kallas för anhörigsjukdom, då det är vanligt att anhöriga vårdar sin familjemedlem under sjukdomens förlopp. Alzheimers är en sjukdom som på många sätt försämrar tillståndet hos den sjuka, vilket medför en stor belastning både fysiskt och psykiskt för de anhöriga som vårdar.SyfteSyftet är att undersöka anhörigas erfarenheter av att vårda sin make/maka med Alzheimers sjukdom i hemmet.MetodArbetet är en systematisk litteraturstudie och både kvalitativa och kvantitativa studier används för att få en helhetsbild av anhörigas erfarenheter av att vårda sin make/maka med Alzheimers. Tio artiklar utgör grunden för examensarbetets resultat.ResultatResultatet består av tre kategorier: Anhörigas tankar om första tiden efter beskedet om diagnosen, anhörigas livskvalitet och sjukdomens påverkan på relationen. I resultatet framgick det att de anhörigas erfarenheter av att vårda sin make/maka skiljde sig mycket åt.
