Handledning av sjuksköterskestudenter är ett komplext arbete som kräver tid och. Handledare upplever brist på stöttning från kollegor och avdelningschef. Det är önskvärt om kollegor är villiga att ta över en del av patientomvårdnande så att handledare får mer tid för handledning av studenter under verksamhetsförlagd utbildning [Vfu]. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa studenthandledning under Vfu där studenters och handledares uppfattningar belyses. Litteraturstudien består av 20 artiklar vilka analyserats utifrån studiens syfte och delats in i två teman utifrån handledares och studenters uppfattningar.

Scintigraphic examination of the esophagus has for some time been the method of choice for the study of motility dysfunction in humans. The method has not yet been described for horses hence the lack of reference values for passage time for a bolus through the esophagus in healthy subjects. The purposes of this study were to measure passage velocity and time for a bolus to pass through the esophagus in healthy subjects, as well as to evaluate the reproducibility of the method. Eight warm-blooded trotters were used in the study. The horses were sedated with a low dose of Acepromazine prior to onset of the study.

Physiotherapists treat people with different views of the world and medical beliefs, which require a good understanding of cultural differences. One way to achieve cultural understanding is through self-reflection in a new context. During five weeks the authors, two physiotherapy students, completed a clinical practice at the rehabilitation center Pina Palmera, Zipolite, Oaxaca, Mexico. At the beginning of the period a critical incident was chosen, when the head physiotherapist for the ward Cuidados Especiales intended to sell jewellery to the authors during a treatment of a patient. The authors have by using the reflection framework "Framework to guide reflective process", and Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) for analysis, discussed different ways of communication, adherence, education, and self-reflection and critical thinking.

Det är av vikt att professioner har en teoretisk grund att luta sig mot och att teorin införlivas i praktiken. Inom arbetsterapin försvåras detta av att professionen har brottats med paradigmskiften, vilket i sin tur har bidragit till en stor mängd av tyst kunskap inom yrket. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva hur arbetsterapeuter i den kliniska verksamheten resonerar kring användandet av arbetsterapeutisk teori, främst vid användandet av processer och modeller. Sju arbetsterapeuter intervjuades i denna kvalitativa studie. De delgav sina tankar och resonemang angående användandet av arbetsterapeutisk teori i arbetet.

Background Swedish nurses are required by law to document nursing care. Studies have proved scarce in nursing documentation with regard to written language, the nursing process and the nurse´s caring perspective. Educating nurses in using the VIPS model have improved nursing documentation. Few studies have included nursing documentation of psychiatric care.Aim The aim of this study was to describe nursing documentation within psychiatric care of inpatient settings.Method A quantitative, retrospective descriptive research design was applied. A total of 60 nursing journals from a psychiatric department of six wards were studied.

Syftet är att beskriva symtom och biverkningar som kvinnor med avancerad bröstcancer och cytostatikabehandling rapporterat i ett datoriserat rapporteringssystem före läkarbesök. Undersöka tillfredsställelsen med detta system; se om det finns en skillnad mellan äldre och yngre; undersöka kvinnornas uppfattning om vad som kan förbättras i uppföljningen av symtom/biverkningar samt stödet från läkare. Detta är en kvantitativ, deskriptiv tvärsnittsstudie baserat på rapporteringssystemets databas samt enkätundersökning. Biverkningarna trötthet, smärta och nervpåverkan rapporterades mest frekvent. Tidsåtgången för rapportering ansågs utav de flesta vara kort eller mycket kort och formuläret upplevdes av majoriteten vara ganska lätt till mycket lätt att använda oberoende av datorvana. Läkaren ansågs från hög grad till mycket hög grad vara ett stöd i att hantera symtom och biverkningar av två tredjedelar av respondenterna.

Objective: To determine the frequency of antimicrobial resistance in bacteria from healthy Swedish dogs and whether they are carriers of methicillinresistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Material: Samples from skin from the perineal region and from faeces collected in the anus with cottonswab (Copan) from 299 healthy Swedish dogs. Samples were collected at dog exhibitions. Method: Specimens were submitted for bacterial culture where bacteria (Escherichia coli, enterococci and staphylococci) were isolated and identified by current methods. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed with a microdilution method where MIC-values were determined. Staphylococci with high degree of resistance were tested for presence of mecA-gene by PCR.

The purpose of this study is to make a qualitative evaluation of the MTFC-program (Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care) on the basis of six youth´s experiences of the program. The study will investigate what the youth experienced as positive and negative about the program as well as finding out what has helped them or inhibited them from the aim of getting out of their criminal lifestyle. A secondary purpose of this study is to make the youth´s voices heard in the research world. The research question is: Which factors in the MTFC-program have helped or inhibited the youth towards the aim of getting out of their criminal lifestyle? For this purpose, a qualitative research method has been used where semistructured interviews have been performed on six youth who have gone through the MTFC-program.

Bakgrund: Många arbetsmiljöproblem kretsar kring psykosociala faktorer. Relationen mellan krav, kontroll och socialt stöd har betydelse för hälsan. Riskökning för psykiskt lidande ses när både lågt socialt stöd och låg kontroll upplevs. Arbetstid och bristande kontroll har visat samband med bl.a. gastrointestinala problem och sömnstörningar.

Bipolar disorder is a severe, affective illness which causes a person to alternate between episodes of pathologically elevated mood (mania) and depression ? in between these episodes the mood is normal. The length and intervals between the episodes are highly variable among the ill, as are the severity which is divided into two major subgroups: bipolar I and II. Bipolar I disorder is the most severe because of the patient?s inability to realize that he or she is currently in a manic phase, in the case of bipolar II disorder, the patient is aware that he or she has an abnormally raised mood, a state which is called hypomanic state instead of manic.

Today there are many students with behavioral and developmental disorders in schools. One of these disorders is ADHD. The medical designation ADHD stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I have chosen to research how two students with ADHD can be included in a fifth grade classroom.This research paper addresses the issues surrounding the student?s day-to-day life with a focus on the classroom.

This thesis has been performed at Clinical Chemistry at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg. The purpose of the project was to investigate new and alternative ways to determinate synthetic cannabinoids by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Currently, the possibilities to quantify synthetic cannabinoids are very limited. This can lead to an increased use of synthetic cannabinoids as the risk of detection is low, which may be known by drug users. The synthetic cannabinoids are sold mixed with different herbs and have varying names like Spice Gold, Spice Silver, K2, Smoke and Pot-pourri.The synthetic cannabinoids analyzed were JWH-018 and JWH-073, which are commonly found in seized Spice material.

Sjukdomar i hjärtats kranskärl och dess komplikationer förorsakar 23% av alla dödsfall hos kvinnor i Sverige där akut hjärtinfarkt ensam står för 6% av fallen. Atypiska och diffusa symtom är en av orsakerna till att kvinnor med hjärtinfarkt inte alltid kommer till sjukhus i tid. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att belysa kvinnors upplevelser av hjärtinfarkt i det akuta skedet. Vi vill även få klarhet i varför kvinnor ofta väntar med att söka vård och dessutom riskerar att inte bli tagna på allvar. Vi har valt metod i form av en litteraturstudie där vi analyserar kvalitativ forskning som bygger på nio vårdvetenskapliga artiklar.

Kompetensstegen är ett värderingsinstrument för arbetsledningen där vårdpersonalensförvärvade och behövda kompetens kontrolleras. I Västra Götalandsregionen använder intealla arbetsplatser kompetensstegen och de arbetsplatser som arbetar enligt den gör detta påolika sätt, detta kan försvåra undersköterskornas/barnsköterskornas möjligheter förkompetensutveckling och vid arbetsgivarens olika bedömningar och lönesättningar.Studiens syfte är att beskriva vilka erfarenheter undersköterskor och barnsköterskor har avkompetensstegen inom akutsjukvården.För att samla in data har vi använt en enkät med 38 frågor som delgavs 88 undersköterskoroch barnsköterskor, enkätens svarsfrekvens blev 69 %.Resultatet visar att kompetensstegen inte är någon bidragande orsak till att undersköterskoroch barnsköterskor söker sig till en arbetsplats som arbetar enligt kompetensstegen. Det ärheller inte ett skäl till att de kvarstannar på en arbetsplats som arbetar enligt kompetensstegen.Respondenternas erfarenheter är att kompetensutveckling inte har bidragit till att deras lönerökat mer än andra kollegors som inte arbetar enligt kompetensstegen. Det finns dålig kunskapbland respondenterna vad kompetensstegen innebär. Förutsättningar för kompetensutvecklingges av närmaste arbetsledning, trots detta kompetensutvecklas inte alla undersköterskor ochbarnsköterskor.

Tomato production is a common and important agricultural activity in Nicaragua. During the last decades tomato producers have suffered great yield losses due to begomoviruses (family Geminiviridae). The genome of begomoviruses generally consists of two circular ssDNA components, DNA-A and DNA-B. Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV) is an example of a begomovirus with only one component. An approach to manage the virus epidemics has been to breed a cultivar with begomovirus resistance genes, which have been transferred from wild tomato.
