Feedback is a tool that can be used to give students the confirmation of their accomplishments , helping them to increase understanding of the results of a performance and to alert students if change is required for future performance. Other studies and reports regarding clinical practice in education has shown that students feel that feedback has good impact on learning and positive effects such as enhanced self-confidence. Onboard training forms a major part of the education at the four-year nautical science education in Kalmar, in four years, one year is spent on board ships. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out how students at the four-year nautical science program in Kalmar felt that they receive feedback after completing on board training and how they wish that such feedback would be given. Six students were interviewed, three from grade one and three from grade three.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka om det spelar någon roll vilken rekryteringspolicy en rekryterare arbetar utifrån när han eller hon väljer ut frågor att ställa till en arbetssökande. Den grundläggande hypotesen var att det skulle bli en skillnad mellan vilka frågor man väljer att ställa om man förses med en rekryteringspolicy som betonar lojalitet jämfört med en som betonar rättvisa. Hypotesen testades på 79 studenter vid Lunds universitet och Malmö högskola. Formuläret innehöll en jobbannons som beskrev ett fiktivt företag och dess rekryteringspolicy. Analysen visade en signifikant huvudeffekt för skillnaden mellan lojalitets- och rättvisebetingelserna (p=.049) såväl som en signifikant effekt för beskrivningen av den ideale medarbetaren (p=.031).

Suicidology deals a lot with taking into consideration significant symptoms, risk factors and establishing causal relationships which inevitably are very important for suicide prevention. But do we understand the suicide attempters better thereby? The aim with the study is to elucidate the meaning of the lived suicidal experience that is expressed by participants on an Internet forum. Ten participants' texts which concerned own suicidality were chosen out from this Internet forum and were analyzed and interpreted on the basis of a phenomenological hermeneutical method inspired by Ricoeur (1976). The result established twelve themes that with the aid of Heidegger (1993) and Derrida (1978, 1991) led to that the following conclusions could be drawn about the meaning of the suicidal lifeworld: suicidal concern and care in itself reduces the sense of identity, practical suicidal doing in itself reduces the world, sense of identity is more affected by the future than the present and the past, the death is escaped from through a calculating determination to have the death at one's disposal, inability to turn away from the death increases oscillating between states of emotions, the surrounding world's requirement to avoiding death becomes to a compulsion to isolate one self; and finally: to both feel anxiety in front of one self's own death and dread when escaping from it..

Through changes in the code of statutes, SOSFS 2009:27 (M), opioid addicts are excluded since March 1 2010 from possibilities to be accepted for substitution treatment. Opiate addicts are solitary admitted for substitution treatment from that date. Opioid addicts are excluded admission for treatment regardless of the fact that they fulfil the ICD-10 diagnosis F.11.2, i.e. opioid/opiate addictive criteria. I Sverige dominerar kvinnorna sjukskrivningstalet, framförallt då det gäller någon form av stressrelaterad ohälsa. I forskning och offentlig debatt är ofta arbetsrelaterad stress i fokus. Denna studie undersöker hur kvinnor som har fått en stressrelaterad diagnos själva ser på orsakerna till sin ohälsa och till att de fått denna diagnos samt hur diagnosförfarandet kan gå till. Resultatet analyseras ur ett könsperspektiv. I denna kvalitativa studie tillfrågades fem läkare om diagnostisering och åtta kvinnor med någon form av stressrelaterad diagnos intervjuades.

Psychological research concerning correction of stereotypes has mainly focused on how individuals adjust their negative attitude towards the out-group due to the apprehension of appearing prejudiced in front of out-grouprepresentatives. This study though, does not deal with estimations of the qualities of the out-group; it deals with estimations of the qualities of the in-group. Does Swedes correct their estimations of their own group when the experiment leader is of another ethnicity and has a different colour of skin? The participants were students at Halmstad Högskola and they were all born and raised in Sweden. Half the participants got to meet a Swedish born, white skinned experiment leader, whereas the other group got to meet an African born, dark skinned experiment leader.

The overarching aim of this paper is to study the professional encounter in its complexity. The requirements for receiving welfare is set by the professional and it's the professionals decision if they are met in the proper manner. This makes the assessment of the clients conditions and the correctness of the assessment hence important. There are several levels which is necessary for the social worker to take into consideration.We have therefore made a socio-analysis by using a theoretical model of Johansson (2006) where he uses the Social Psychology of the encounter to create a model with four levels, which is always present in the professional encounter: structural, positional, relational, and experience level.  Our base was that the one responsible for handling these levels was the professional which led us to search for literature concerning the professional approach.Our study is formed as a qualitative case-study. Our empirical data consist of qualitative interviews with four social workers handling social allowance.The results shows that the complexity of the professional encounter requires a professional approach.

Hand raising is a common method in schools and a way for students to engage in the classrooms turn-allocation (Andersson & Haglund 2006, p 35), but not all benefit from it. According to Dylan Wiliam (2011) hand raising divides the students by putting the students that participate in hand raising at an advantage versus the students that do not. This study aims to examine hand raising as a phenomenon and the students and teachers thoughts about hand raising. Background Swedish nurses are required by law to document nursing care. Studies have proved scarce in nursing documentation with regard to written language, the nursing process and the nurse´s caring perspective. Educating nurses in using the VIPS model have improved nursing documentation. Few studies have included nursing documentation of psychiatric care.Aim The aim of this study was to describe nursing documentation within psychiatric care of inpatient settings.Method A quantitative, retrospective descriptive research design was applied. A total of 60 nursing journals from a psychiatric department of six wards were studied.

Bakgrund: Enligt tidigare forskning leder oinfriade förväntningar hos en nyanställd till sämre arbetsprestation och slutligen till frivillig avgång. Vi har i vår undersökning sett närmare på vilken betydelse förväntningar har för den nyanställdes arbetsupplevelse, då vi tagit utgångspunkt i bland annat Vrooms förväntningsteori. Undersökningen har gjorts på en av våra egna arbetsplatser, då vi upplevde att många av de nyanställda tidigt valde att lämna organisationen och vi såg ouppfyllda förväntningar som en möjlig anledning till detta Syfte: Vårt syfte med arbetet är att genom ett begränsat antal intervjuer på fallföretaget, ta reda på om de nyanställdas förväntningar inför det nya arbetet motsvarar den verklighet de sedan möter. Detta för att kunna skapa en förståelse för vilken betydelse annonsen och anställningsintervjun har för den nyanställdes förväntningar. Metod: Vi har genom en kvalitativmetod gjort en intervjuundersökning på vårt fallföretag. Resultat: Vi kom i studien fram till att den anställde genom anställningssamtalet fått en realistisk bild av vad arbetet skulle gå ut på.

Background: Folate is a water - soluble vitamin necessary for normal DNA synthesis among  other mechanisms. Folate deficiency can cause megaloblastic anemia resulting from abnormal erythrocyte d evelopment. At the Department of Clinical Chemistry, Linköping, analysis of folate is performed with Siemens ADVIA Centaur® XP which uses an immunochemical method with chemiluminimetric detection. Currently, the assay is conducted on serum, is poured off and frozen after 48 h and treated with light protection because folate is considered to be light sensitive.Methods: This study tested lithium heparin plasma for analysis of folate with Siemens ADVIA Centaur® XP with the aim to be able to perform a package of analyzes in anemia investigation from the same collection tube. Furthermore, the stability of folate was studied for up to 168 h and examined regarding light sensitivity.Results: Statistically significant higher values were obtained in the analysis of folate in lithium heparin plasma than folate in serum (p < 0,001).
