Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva vilka riskfaktorer som kunde leda till höftfraktur hos äldre samt att beskriva vilka preventiva åtgärder sjuksköterskan kunde använda i omvårdnaden för att förhindra höftfraktur. Resultatet baserades på 21 vetenskapliga artiklar skrivna på engelskt språk. Exklusionskriterie var artiklar baserade på individer yngre än 50 år. Artiklarna söktes via databaserna Elin och Blackwell Synergy och skulle vara publicerade från år 1996 till 2006. Även manuell sökning genomfördes utifrån artiklars referenser samt en tidskrift.

AbstractThe aim with the study was to describe and to compare nurse students' views about importantcaring behaviors in order to give good caring. An empirical comparative study wasimplemented on a college in the middle of Sweden. Nurse students in the beginning and at theend of their education sorted and prioritized 50 caring behaviors (CARE-Q). The result showedthat the students' description of important caring behaviors has many similarities. However, theresult also showed that there were significant differences between the student-groups where thestudents at the beginning of their education rated several caring behavior as significant moreimportant than the students in the end of their education.

This is a qualitative study that explores the involvement of the relatives in the special housing based on the perspective of fourteen interviewees working in elderly care, at special housing.The purpose of this study is to analyze the nursing staff's view of the involvement of the relatives and the presence of care provision at special housing. The study is to find out what can constitute support or obstacles to the relatives.Three questions have been presented as the structural basis upon which the objective finds its conclusion. These questions try to explore and identify the forms of support that can help relatives in their involvement in elderly care. There are opportunities and obstacles for the involvement of the relatives in the care of the elderly as well as expectations of nursing staff on the role of the relatives in the care of the elderly which the following study focuses on.The research reflected in this study involves the care staff and their experiences and views on the relatives who have their older live permanently in residential care.In conclusion, the study identifies similar reasoning among respondents regarding to key aspects of the relatives at the special housing. They emphasizes that relatives are needed there and they are important resource for both the residents and the staff.The results indicate that there may be both opportunities and obstacles for the involvement of the relatives.

To create a more accessible environment for disabled people, the Swedish government, in the year of 2001, made the national act of easily eliminated obstacles valid. This national act states that all easily eliminated obstacles in the municipalities, in places and in premises that are public, shall be removed before the end of 2010, no matter if the owner of the place or premise is private or public. According to Boverket, most of the municipalities are not going to be able to reach that goal, why? The aim of this thesis is to compare the two municipalities Kalmar and Karlskrona in their way of implementing this national act, to see where it went wrong and why. By using implementation theories and qualitative empirical data in the form of interwievs with the total of eight people from different administrations in both of the municipalities, the subject was analyzed and discussed.

Sverige har sedan miljöbalken blev antagen 1 januari 1999, efter nya EU-direktiv, utövat tillsynen efter denna. Detta som ett led i utvecklingen mot hållbar utveckling. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur miljötillsyn upplevs av företagare och miljöinspektörer och vilka effekter miljöinspektioner har på företag. Det ska även undersökas om eller hur långvarig erfarenhet av inspektioner påverkar företagares attityder och verksamhet. Dokumentanalys och intervjuer har varit grunden till undersökningen. Tre inspektörer och sex företag har blivit besökta och intervjuade. Dokumentanalysen bestod i att analysera tidigare inspektionsloggar och detta lade sedan grunden till intervjufrågorna. Resultaten visar att både inspektörer och företag är relativt nöjda med den tillsyn som bedrivs.

Anafylaxi är en akut, oförutsedd, allergisk reaktion som kan uppkomma när som helst. Alla sjuksköterskor skall ha kunskap om anafylaxi, samt beredskap att ta hand om denna reaktion på ett korrekt sätt. I bakgrunden beskrivs den immunologiska mekanismen vid anafylaxi och allergi, symtom och behandling, samt det omvårdnadsvetenskapliga perspektivet. Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att identifiera och beskriva bidragande orsaker som ligger bakom osäkerheten kring anafylaxi och därmed ge en ökad kunskap om anafylaxi i sjuksköterskans professionella omhändertagande. The purpose of this two years master thesis is to examine the potential benefits of using bibliotherapy on elderly Finnish immigrants residing in Sweden and living in geriatric care. The basis of the study is a four week long bibliotherapeutic project implemented at a nursing home for Finnish-speaking people in Stockholm County.Participants were men and women spanning in age from 70 to 90 years old. Common for all the participants was that they had lived their entire adult life in Sweden, their only language was Finnish, and they had the diagnosis of dementia. The study examines the bibliotherapeutic model of Arleen McCarty Hynes and Mary Hynes-Berry, as well as Inger Eriksson?s approach for the use of bibliotherapy in nursing homes and hospices.The empirical analysis is based on field notes from the bibliotherapeutic sessions and from interviews with librarians and nurses involved in the project.

Standardvårdplaner är vanligt förekommande inom hälso- och sjukvård och är under ständig utveckling. Standardvårdplaner är i olika grad evidensbaserade och framtagna med skiftande kvalitet. Standardvårdplaner används som ett hjälpmedel för effektivisering och kvalitetshöjning av vården för en specifik patientgrupp och är en på förhand formulerad vårdplan. Behov av ytterligare forskning efterfrågas om standardvårdplaner faktiskt minskar mängden dubbeldokumentation, leder till ökad tidsvinst och ökad vårdkvalitet. Syftet med föreliggande litteraturstudie var att göra en beskrivning av de effekter som användande av standardvårdplaner leder till.

Syftet med föreliggande beskrivande litteraturstudie var att beskriva och sammanställa bidragande faktorer som påverkar patientens följsamhet till de egenvårdsråd som ges av sjuksköterskan gällande bensårsbehandlingen. Syftet var även att sammanställa vilken kvalitet inkluderade artiklar hade samt vilken relevans urvalet hade för inkluderade artiklars resultat. Artikelsökningen ägde rum i databaserna PubMed och Chinal, sökorden som användes var ?leg ulcer?, ?compliance? och ?nursing?. Resultatet baserades på tio artiklar där fyra artiklar hade hög kvalitet, fem artiklar hade medel kvalitet och en artikel hade låg kvalitet.

I Sverige finns minst 150 000 personer med demens och cirka 20 000 personer insjuknar årligen. Bemötandet av en demenssjuk person har visat sig vara helt avgörande för hur mycket den demenssjuke klarar av och en nära positiv relation mellan demenssjuka och vårdare kan få den sjuke att fungera bättre. Syftet med studien var att belysa vad omvårdnadspersonal på kommunala gruppboenden upplevde som förutsättningar och hinder för att skapa bra bemötande av demenssjuka. Data samlades in via intervjuer och bearbetades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys. De kategorier som framkom var: Medvetenhet om kroppsspråkets betydelse för kommunikation, Viljan till gott samarbete och flexibelt arbetssätt, Stabil personalgrupp, Inställd på den andres behov, Känsla av otillräcklighet och Resursbrist.

Thermography is the assesment of the surface temperature of the horses body and it falls into the categori of physiological imaging. Thermography allows us to portray inflammation and changes in sympathetic tone in a graphical manner. The purpose of this study was to review thermography in equine medicine and to evaluate thermography as an aid in the diagnosis of lamness in horses. Thermography has been helpful to identyfy sprains, stress fractures, shin splints and soft tissue, tendon, ligamentous and nerv injuries and to monitor healing processes during rehabilitation. Routine thermography may reveal inflammatory responses prior to clinical signs. In present study thermograpy gave especially valuabel information in two cases. In one horse reduced blood flow in a. saphena due to a thrombosis were visualised and in the other horse bilateral thoracolumbal radiculopati was diagnosed.

Twenty-four calves, which had not grazed previously, were divided into four groups. They were subsequently inoculated orally with either E. alabamensis oocysts, O.ostertagi/C. oncophora larvae, or both. One group remained uninfected and was used as a control.
