This thesig will portray the different types of students at the programs of library studiesin Lund &d Umeå.The study is based upon quantitative information gathered from a survey, which wasdistributed to first-year students in Lund and Umeå. The survey was followed by qualitativeinterviews with four students, and with the director of studies from each school.The study shows that the programs, as we11 as the students, are very similar, althoughthere are some minor diferences. It seemed that the students at Umeå were moreinterested4n culture than those at Lund.A certain connection between the aim at information and the ownership of a computercould be detected. The sex of the students played a major part in their choice of education.The attractors and facilitators, used by Lortie in his study, could also be appliedto the students at the program of library studies in our thesis..

The main purpose of this study was to study the heredity of osteochondrosis (OC) in fetlock-, hock- or stifle joints within the Swedish half-bred population, using data from the regional animal hospital in Helsingborg. A large number of horses with clinical symptoms, for example lameness, are radiographed every year at the regional animal hospital in Helsingborg. In addition, many clinically healthy horses are radiographed in order to be sold (inspection radiographed / export radiographed). This study is based on electronically stored data from horses in both of these groups of patients that underwent joint radiography at the regional hospital in Helsingborg during the years 1992-1999. The first file (inspection file) contained 1035 observations from 983 horses that had their fetlock-, hock - or stifle joints radiographed for inspection or export. The other file (clinical file) contained 6121 observations from 3800 horses that were radiographed due to clinical symptoms in the fetlock-, stifle or hock joints.

Bakgrund: Studier på energi- och näringsintag hos gravida kvinnor har tidigare utförts i Kenya i vilka det framkom ett otillräckligt intag av makro- samt mikronutrienter. Graviditet medför ett ökat behov av energi såväl som näringsämnen. Afrika är den kontinent med störst förekomst av HIV, där främst fertila kvinnor drabbas. Malnutrition påverkar utvecklingen av HIV genom att försvaga immunsystemet, öka infektionskänsligheten samt påskynda progressionen av HIV till AIDS. Obstetriska och neonatala faktorer hos malnutrierade kvinnor påverkas dessutom ytterligare vid förekomst av HIV.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka och jämföra energi- och näringsintag samt livsmedelsval hos HIV- positiva samt HIV- negativa gravida kvinnor på Kinondo Kwetu Clinic, Kenya.Metod: 35 stycken HIV- positiva samt 35 stycken HIV-negativa gravida kvinnor ingick i studien.

Rapporten ger bakgrund och historia över online 3D teknologi, ger en översikt över marknaden för online produktpresentationer idag och försöker ge en ögonblicksbild av situationen i andra kvartalet 2007 över en snabb föränderlig marknad. I have written an experiential essay about my role as a preschool director and the important work decisions that I face. What is best for the child? That is something that I think is important to take into consideration.In the narrative, I describe how an induction occurs at my preschool. We use an "old" tried and true method which spans two to three weeks, which I believe is best for children under the age of two. They need to first connect withone educator who they are comfortable with before they are secure enough to play and explore the environment of the preschool.In recent years, another method has emerged which is shorter and which has quickly became popular in many preschools.

A method for equine intra oral radiology has been tested. In the study, both a digital system with an intraoral sensor connected to a laptop and a system utilizing image plates and digital developing was tested, initially on cadaver sculls and finally on sedated horses. The digital sensor was not considered viable for this purpose, while the system with image plates and digital developing worked very well. Two different techniques, i.e. parallel and bisectris, are suggested for the best visualization of different parts of the teeth. Intra carious injections of Mixobar oesophaghus contrast fluid was found useful when evaluating the extent of carious lesions. Compared to extra oral radiology, the new method had several advantages and can be used both in clinic and field practices..

The task has been to make a page under their homepage, with a game application that?s supposed to be interesting and also have a strong connection to the TV- program. During the last years, enviromental issues has been higly topical and everyone is involved in the end. To raise children into citizents who cares abuot the enviroment, the education has to start in the early years of school. The purpose of the examination is to investigate how the eniviromental education looks in a village called Dharamsala in northern India.Intervjues has ben done with three teachers working in different schools and one teacherstudent. I´ve also intervjued one tibetan munk whoes ben working as teacher and director. I´ve also studied a societyorgan that have a close realationship with most schools in the area.

Styr is a computer program that the construction company NCC use in their construction projects. The program is used to keep the economy of their projects in a good order and things for the best in an early phase. The problem is a low extent of utilization. During the latest decade NCC has put a lot of job and money trying to develop the program. The question is how to get the employees to use the program in a greater extent.

The purpose of the study was to describe the patients? perception of and the dental hygienist students? knowledge regarding bad breath (halitosis) in a University educational clinic in Kristianstad. The study is based on a waitingroom survey (n=100), and a studentpoll (n=40).The result of the patientpoll showed that 58 % felt that they rather would not talk about bad breath, and that 44 % found it that embarrassing to talk about. However 81 % experienced that they were bothered by bad breath from other people. The majority 98 % felt that it was important to smell good from the mouth and 90 % would appreciate if someone could spoke to them that they had bad breath.
