Taking a qualitative approach, this research investigates different theories and methods for creating parks that people will cherish and visit during their daily life. It also takes on the task to understand how principles of developing recreational values in a small forest is affected by the addition of a new element to the landscape, i.e. a major highway. Questions:? Are the people active within outdoor life/physical activity today?? How much time do the people devote to outdoor life/physical activity?? What factors during the growth, from preschool to grown-up, contribute to a maintained or lost interest in outdoor life?MethodSince we wanted to bring forth all eventual factors that may have effected the people in their physical activity today we chose to do a qualitative study using deep interviews. The investigated group consists of six former students, four girls and two boys, from the I Ur och Skur preschool Mulleborg. Today the respondents are between 20 and 24 years old.ResultsThe investigation shows that all respondents are active with some kind of outdoor life or physical activity today, but there is a difference in how much.

Lately the popularity to keep different species of dwarf hamsters has increased in Sweden. The requirements of the Swedish legislation to keep hamsters as pets are low which could be a reason for the increasing popularity. Hamsters are in nature generally nocturnal and can travel far distances to find food sources during their active part of the day. Their eyesight is poor, but is compensated by their well-developed hearing and olfaction. ?Run about balls? are made of plastic and the hamster is placed inside it where after the ball is placed on the floor and the hamster can then run protected outside the cage.

AbstraktFärdigheter utvecklas gradvis vid träning och fördelarna som erhålls är många. Utförandet går snabbare, blir mer korrekt och den kognitiva belastningen tros minska. Utvecklandet av färdigheter kan dock påverkas av individens personlighet och faktorer som setts kunna bidra till stress och prestation. Denna studie undersökte betydelsen av upplevda krav, kontroll och socialt stöd enligt en teoretisk modell framtagen av Karasek och Theorell som reviderats av Perski samt personlighet (Eysenck, EPQ-R: extraversion, neuroticism) avseende resultaten på teoretisk respektive praktisk prestation efter olika mängd träning. Prestation mättes med svenska klätterförbundets praktiska och teoretiska standardprov som används vid uppklättring för topprepskort.

The intention of this final thesis is to examine how to create a schoolyard that inspires children at the age of 6 ? 12 years to play and give them possibility to develop. To get a lot of knowledge in this subject, I have combined studies of literature with practical studies at Hosjöskolan in Falun. During my practical studies I have done interviews, walks in the area with the children and visited other schoolyards. I have based a design proposal for the schoolyard of Hosjöskolan on these studies.

In present time, more and more people move into cities. Densification of cities as planning policy together with an intensive urbanization, makes urban planners face with the contradictory task of creating a city that is both dense and green. Façade vegetation has been used for centuries, mainly in the form of various Climbing plants that with or without supportive structures have spread over facades to give a green impression to the environment. The development of new technology today allows urban planners to use greenery integrated with façades. Vertical gardens offer a larger variety of plants, and at the same time takes advantage of the technological benefits of vegetation in city planning.

Under vår utbildning har vi upplevt många problem kring att plantera träd i urban miljö. Träden får ofta inte det utrymme de kräver för en, till arten sett, normal utveckling. Även den fordrade skötseln är bristande, framför allt i etableringsskedet. I och med att städerna växer och att trädens växtbäddar ofta är minimala, bland annat på grund av vägarnas överbyggnader, VA- och andra ledningar, måste lösningar tas fram för att behålla städerna gröna och öka grönytekvoten. Vi ser att klätterväxter kan vara ett bra sätt att föra in mer grönska i våra urbana miljöer.Syftet med det här arbetet har varit att ta reda på hur klätterväxter kan användas i den urbana miljön.

The goal of this work has been to search historical materials, to identify the park's historical development, to prepare proposals on measures and that work should be the basis for further research. The aim has been to train us in searching for and use of materials and to gain an understanding of the process of work with older plants. In the process we have sought and found materials in archives, through literary and oral sources, and email contacts. Because of its excellent location perched on an islet in the low landscape Näsbyholm was long a fortress. The old castle on Näsbyholm was from the late 1400s but the site was fortified much earlier. The islet was at this time completely surrounded by water and there was a drawbridge over the narrow waterline. The owners are liable since the late 1200s.
