The Sweden democrats are a political party that has had a time of success duringthe last year. However many people believe them to be a racist party, in contrastto how they view themselves and their political message. How is it possible thatthe views of the same party differ to this extent, it seems to be a large ambiguityin their message. Rhetoric is a tool that everybody uses in some way or anotherand can be crucial to how a political party is perceived by people. Can thereforethe use of rhetoric be a factor that has contributed to the different perception of theparty and if so, in which way?With the help of theories such as semiotics, classical rhetoric and antiestablishmentstrategy, different texts, such as motions, and pictures published bythe Sweden democrats can be analyzed to find ways they use rhetoric.In the analysis it was obvious that they used rhetoric, even though therhetorical quality differed between the leading persons in the party and the peoplewho represented the Sweden democrats in the local government.

Genom att spela in Lars Janssons låtar samt en av mina egna, utforskar jag pianots roll i dessa olika sorters ECM-jazz kompositioner. Jansson låtar är oftast skrivna för en triokonstellation (piano, bas och trummor). I triokonstellation är det viktigt för pianisten att upprätthålla harmonik, rytmik och tema. Kompositionerna har oftast starka teman och pianot en ledande roll. Med min egen komposition ska jag försöka efterlikna Janssons kompositioner, samt undersöka ECMjazzens karaktäristiska kännetecken.

I denna studie undersöks kunskapsförmedling vid användandet av en ämnesintegrerad undervisningsmetod. Studien undersöker även vilka redskap som nyttjas när en ämnesintegrerad undervisningsmetod används. Studien grundar sig i sociokulturell teori och dess syn på lärande. Studiens frågeställningar är följande; På vilket sätt förmedlas kunskaper i klassrummet när den ämnesintegrerade undervisningsmetoden används? och Vilka redskap används i klassrummet när den ämnesintegrerade undervisningsmetoden används? Undersökningens empiri har samlats in genom fallstudier bestående av observationer i klassrumsmiljö.

Timing och sväng är begrepp som återkommit frekvent i min musikutbildning. Min upplevelse är att ämnet är viktigt, men att det samtidigt saknas forskning på området. Studien syftar till att få en djupare insikt i hur pianopedagoger definierar begreppen timing och sväng samt hur de ser på undervisning när det gäller dessa. Jag är intresserad av att hitta didaktiska redskap och metoder för att på ett konkret sätt kunna tillämpa timing och sväng i pianoundervisningen.Undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av en kvalitativ intervju-form där jag intervjuade fyra pianopedagoger, med inriktning jazz, verksamma på olika musikhögskolor och konservatorier. Resultatet visar, enligt respondenternas tolkning, att timing och sväng spelar en viktig roll i musiken i stort.

This paper is about the composition and function of boards of social enterprises. A social enterprise can be defined as a company, which is founded by users or external stakeholder in order to create jobs (or a work place), a meaning in live or to further integration. One tries to achieve this goal by a business activity and/or subsidies and/or neighbourhood projects. The amount of social enterprises grew steadily after the restructuring of social welfare in Sweden since the 1980. Alternative forms of welfare ? such as a social enterprise ? will probably grow further in importance.

In this thesis we study four groups of students in grade 8, 9 and 10 when they try to solve a classical mathematical problem: Which rectangle with given circumference has the largest area? The aim of the study was too see how the students did to solve a mathematichal problem?The survey shows that students have rather poor strategies to solve mathematical problems. The most common mistake is that students don?t put much energy to understand the problem before trying to solve it. They have no strategies.

Denna uppsats syftar till att få insikt i hur några högskolestuderande på klassisk gitarr och klassiskt piano som spelar solo upplever en konsertsituation. Huvudfrågorna har varit: Vad känner de? Har de några problem/svårigheter och i så fall hur beskriver de upplevelsen av detta? Detta har undersökts genom kvalitativa intervjuer med fem musikhögskolestudenter. Resultatet visar på att samtliga informanter upplever att de delvis påverkas negativt av nervositet i samband med en konsert. Nervositeten yttrar sig bland annat genom "fjärilar i magen", svettningar och negativa tankar innan konserten som handlar om att man inte är tillräckligt förberedd, att det kommer gå dåligt och att man skall spela fel.

This essay is about exploring the rhetorical business negotiation process. The aim has been to find out how skilled salespeople stand out, and what rhetorical means they use to convince the other party. For this study, a qualitative research interview was applied and altogether five vendors in three different industries were interviewed. The fundamental theory of the essay is based on classical rhetoric. From that I have chosen the specific parts that I have found useful to discuss negotiation and sales processes.The results show that there is not a one single rhetorical approach that is essential to convince the other party.

Different ways of naming the two pitches between A and C exist in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The Germanic tradition uses B and H, whereas the Anglo-Saxon tradition uses Bb and B. The aim of this study was to present a survey of the various opinions regarding these pitch names. The material consisted of different opinions about this matter from Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish websites. By means of discourse analysis the material was analysed in themes, which consisted of logic, tradition and communication.

The secularization theses has over the last decade been a central issue within the sociology of religion. The two classic theses has been criticized for being one-sided and only focus on the change from traditional to modern society. The intention of this study is to evaluate this critique and to discuss what is defendable in the early secularization thesis in our contemporary world.This essay?s primary purpose is to compare the secularization theses Weber?s The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism and Durkheim?s The Elementary Forms of Religious Life. I use two analytical models, posing three levels and three categories of secularization, in order to make the comparison explicit.

Background: Climate changes are a growing concern all over the world today. In June year 2006 the European Union accepted a new strategy for the Unions work against a sustainable development. The concept of taking consideration to all the aspects of an organisations/a company's activity is something that have been in focus during later years. Social and ethical aspects are in focus and questions regarding these aspects are more commonly included in the companies yearly reporting. A sustainability report is characterised by that it takes into account not only environmental aspects, like ordinary environmental reports, but also social and ethical aspects of a company's activity with it's surroundings.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka vad man som instrumentalist kan förmedla till sina lyssnare. Är de utommusikaliska känslor och bilder jag som kompositör och interpret vill förmedla desamma som lyssnaren uppfattar, eller skapar lyssnaren sina egna känslor och bilder utifrån sina preferenser? För att ta reda på detta har jag komponerat tre stycken, vart och ett utifrån en bild eller känsla, därefter låtit ett antal människor med olika bakgrund lyssna till dessa stycken och sedan i intervjuform undersökt vilka upplevelser de fick av musiken. Under arbetets gång har jag insett att det tenderar mot att varje människa skapar sina egna känslor och bilder vid musiklyssnande utifrån vad han eller hon har för erfarenheter med sig i bagaget. Dock tyder resultaten på att vi har en kollektiv ?lyssningsbank? som får oss att reagera likartat på vissa typer av musik.

By describing and analyzing a self made composition for the Swedish folk music instrument ?nyckelharpa? with emphasis on playing techique, dissonance treatment and interpretation questions are reflected upon regarding how dissonances and andvanced harmonical progressions are treated on a limited instrument such as ?nyckelharpa?. By emphasizing the traditional norm connected to the interpretation and instrumentation of traditional Swedish folk music (a traditon in which the nyckelharpa is included) and comparing the te- chniques connected to it with the recent composed material in a western classical context the possibilities and limitations in composition and interpretation are further investigated. Thus the musical experience and the documentation of the process of composing a concert for nyckelharpa provides a knowledge base for reflective analysis upon questions regarding interpretation, composition and dissonance treatment. This thesis also provides a brief summary of traditional playing and bowing technique as well as a short historical description of the Swedish traditional instrument ?nyckelharpa?..

Yrkesgruppen artister har tidigare rapporterat höga testpoäng vid mätning av neuroticism, vilket yttrar sig i upplevd sämre fysisk hälsa och låg självutvärdering av prestation. Den longitudinella populationsstudiens generella syfte var att undersöka neuroticism i relation till sångteknik och hälsa under 3.5 år hos operastudenter. Högre registret, lägre registret, sjunga piano, egalisering och uthållighet respektive röstlig-, fysisk- och mental hälsa undersöktes. Enkäter utformade för självrapportering användes (EPQ, KSP, STAI och 2 specialkonstruerade enkäter). Resultaten visade att rapportering av sångteknik och rösthälsa förbättrades signifikant, men att kroppshälsa och mental hälsa inte förbättrades signifikant över tid.
