Utan Demokrati, Ingen Bourgeoisie? En kvalitativ fallstudie om demokrati och medelklass i post-sovjetiska Ryssland

This essay constitutes a qualitative case study about democratization theory and the middle Class in Russia. This is a very important case to study, especially because of the geographic position of the country as well as the economic importance Russia has as a part of the G8. In the essay the author seeks to answer the question whether the lack of a significant middle Class in Russia can be a part of the explanation to the absence of a well functioning democracy in the country. Several democratization theories are presented. The most important being Ruth Berins Collier's theories about ins and outs plus the elite- or working Class as the initiator of democratization processes.

Att föda kön och klass. En studie av modersmotivet i Alfred Kämpes "Trälar"

The purpose of this text is to show how the mother motif is portrayed in four selected novels by Alfred Kämpe, but the thesis also serves the purpose of emphasizing the fact that the mother motif can be seen interacting with the Class motif. This text will account for a new insight into the motifs in Alfred Kämpe?s Trälar. Known as one of the first authors to write in the genre of working-Class literature in Sweden Kämpe?s texts provide motifs common for this genre such as Class, identity and solidarity. As this thesis shows there is yet another motif that should be included among these typical Swedish working Class literature motifs: the mother motive.

Så funkar avdelning C: en kvalitativ undersökning av användbarheten av SAB-systemets religionsavdelning i dagens svenska samhälle

The purpose of this thesis was to find out whether the main Class C (religion) in the Swedish Classification system Klassifikationssystem för svenska bibliotek is well adapted to Classify materials published in or imported to Sweden, and handled by Swedish libraries today. The questions we put to ourselves were:1. How easy to understand, and how useful is the main Class C religion today?2. What, in the main Class C, is satisfactory?3. What, in the main Class C, is inconsistent, anachronistic or incorrect?4. What, in the main Class C, is in need of change or renewal? The method that was used was a number of interviews with librarians and cataloguers. We have interviewed eight librarians from six different libraries, of different types, but all with a relatively large collection of religious materials.Though all of our respondents have expressed a feeling that all the major religions deserve equal treatment in the Classification system and a similar division of space, after some pondering on the subject, our respondents have agreed that a larger space for Christianity is warranted considering the composition of the current collections and publication. Our respondents have in some cases expressed that there is a lack of instructions as to how the subdivisions of the main Class C (religion) is meant to be used.

Barnverksamhet för alla? En studie av barnverksamheten vid två folkbibliotek ur ett genusperspektiv

Abstract: The aim of this study is to investigate the attitudes towards the labour movement?s strategies, goals and organisational issues in Swedish Miners? Union?s (Gruvindustriarbetareförbundet, hereafter Gruv) paper, Gruvarbetaren 1917-1925.The theoretical starting point is Engels? view on the Class state. This perspective turns the question of socialism and the way to get there into an issue of working Class power over the state. Another theoretical perspective is the partition of the labour movement into a trade-unionistic branch, seeing unions as financial organisations of interest, and a pro-state one, considering unions as political organisations.During the period investigated Gruvarbetaren was quite radical and advocated a firm Class struggle strategy towards employers. Since these were considered unreliable, Class struggle was seen as the only way to better the conditions for the working Class.

Resursskola, berättigad skolform eller tvivelaktig placering? : -en studie ur elevperspektiv.

The purpose of this report is to investigate teachers views of whether pupils with Asperger Syndrome, autistic symptoms or ADHD shall go in ordinary Classes or special groups. The study tells you about what difficulties these pupils often have, what adjustments they need in their schoolsituation and the positive and negative effects of joining a special group.A teacher for special needs, two teachers in special groups and two teachers in ordinary Classes have been intervjued and earlier made researches have been studied. The conclusions of this study are that the decision of whether a pupil shall go in a normal Class or a special group must be made individually. Most pupils who are capable to profit from the training in a normal Class and pass their examination, shall go in a normal Class. The greater part of the recommended adjustments are possible to do in a normal Class. But it requires more resourses and teachers with better knowledges about theese handicaps..
