During the 1960´s and 1970´s the public sector in Sweden was expanding and after the 1980´s the people started talking more about an expanding private sector instead. The year of 2007 Hökarängen Hemtjänst Ekonomisk Förening submitted a tender to Äldreförvaltningen about a purchase of the home- help service in Hökarängen and they accept there tender.Exposing public organization for competition can be a good way to make sure that most value for the money is created and that it generates the most cost- effective organizations. The motivation factor is used to describewhat makes people perform more than what is expected of them.The purpose of this study is to describe and explain similarities and differences in working- motivation between those how are members of Hökarängen Hemtjänst Ekonomisk Förening and those how are not.

IgG administered together with erythrocytes is well known to induce >99% suppression. This has been used to prevent haemolytic disease in new-borns since the 1960's, but the mechanism behind it is still not completely understood. The effect on the primary response is well established, but its influence on induction of immunological memory is still heavily debated. In this study adoptive cell transfer of splenocytes to irradiated mice was used to survey the effect IgG has on induction of immunological memory without disturbance from the primary IgG response.

Between 1965 and 1975 a major housing project was carried out in Sweden to resolve a major housing crisis, the so-called one million housing program (Swedish: miljonprogrammet). To raise the standards and create a more attractive housing in these areas is currently a very relevant topic in Sweden.Evidence-based design is the process of basing decisions of the built environment on credible research and studies to achieve the best possible outcome. This method is primarily used in the healthcare sector to improve quality of care and reduce costs by creating healthy environments.The possibility of refurbish apartment buildings from miljonprogrammet using evidence-based design has been studied by means of an extensive literature review and a closer examination of the residential area, Husby in Stockholm, which has been chosen to represent the miljonprogrammet in its entirety. Furthermore, the evidence-based research has been limited to seven fields; nature, noise, color, wayfinding, safe environment, daylight and thermal comfort which has been assessed to be applicable on housing. In order to obtain a comprehensive overview of the different fields, four different subjects were chosen to investigate further within each field; research and studies, laws and regulations, constructional aspect and Husby.

Denna uppsats prövar empiriskt kapitalstockens och arbetsmarknadens institutioners (AMI) betydelse för arbetslösheten på kort och medellång sikt, utifrån keynesiansk och nykeynesiansk teoribildning. Uppsatsens huvudsakliga keynesianska teoretiska modell utgår ifrån antaganden om att arbetslösheten uppvisar hysteresis/persistens samt att NAIRU bestäms endogent, till exempel utifrån ett antagande om att lönebildningen präglas av ömsesidighet. Phillipskurvan antas vara långsiktigt icke-vertikal. Datamaterialet täcker som mest åren 1960-2010 samt 19 OECD-länder och analyseras bland annat genom OLS, panelkorrigerade standardfel, fixa effekter m.m. Den empiriska analysen indikerar att det finns ett statistiskt signifikant negativt samband mellan reala nettokapitalstockens tillväxttakt och arbetslöshet.

It seems like Swedish municipalities are dominated by beliefs that all citizen participation is good for the development of local democracy. A critic of this certainty is rising among Swedish scholars of political science. However, a critic with an ambition of such generalization is harsh. Different democratic projects contents different qualities and thereby diverse problems in the democratic process. If these democratic problems within the process can be recognized, a deeper understanding can be found and in the prolongation a strengthening of the democracy.This essay examines the democratic process of Lomma municipality's democratic project of citizen participation.

Denna komparativa studie behandlar de faktorer som spelat in i militärregimernasfall i Grekland och Argentina. Som teoretiskt ramverk för analysen utgår vi ifrånO´Donnell och Schmitter "Transitions from Authoritarian Rule" samtHuntingtons teorier i "The Third Wave". Studien är av "mest lika design", varssyfte är att finna de faktorer som de båda transitionerna delar, för att därmedkunna dra generella slutsatser om faktorer bakom militärregimers fall.Resultatet visar att bakomliggande faktorer i de båda fallen ärlegitimitetsproblem, liberalisering, civil society, liberalisering, hard och softliners,mobilisering av civila politiska aktörer, samt de slutgiltiga militära nederlagensom transitionsutlösare. Studien visar att den viktigaste av dessa faktorer ärlegitimitetsproblemet, eftersom denna faktor på ett eller annat sätt är kopplad tillövriga. Vidare visare studien att ekonomisk instabilitet spelar en stor roll imilitärregimernas fall, vilket inte lyfts fram i teorin..

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the project Knitting House using art and architectural theories to question the forms of the project as well as the town planning in the area of Husby, a suburb to Stockholm. In order to stress the architectural issues in the area of Husby, the thesis examines the aim and intention of the project Knitting House. The project explores the standardized architectural form that was used and built under the Miljonprogrammet, through the years of 1960-1970 in the neighborhoods of Järvafältet. The thesis will also investigate some of the problems that arise when attempting to discuss knitting as a method used to perform Knitting House. This paper explores the relationships between public and private spaces, the areas in between them and how they interact. The claim made throughout the thesis is that Knitting House can function as a political catalyst by presenting a combined perspective of art, architecture and politics to address the social and ethnic segregation in suburbs like Husby. .

Den så kallade ?gröna revolutionen? inom jordbruket inleddes på 1960-talet och innebar högavkastande grödor, ett oreflekterat högt användande av kemiska bekämpningsmedel, samt intensiv bevattning och mekanisering. En underdrift är att påstå att detta skapat minst sagt stora problem för jordens ekosystem. Ett alternativ för hållbar matproduktion är agroforestry, som innebär produktion av träd på samma mark som produktion av jordbruksgrödor. Systemet är bland annat utvecklat för att förbättra ekologiska samspel.

I den här reflekterande texten studeras det hur ljudet och bilden samspelar med varandra.Med stöd från litteraturstudien som har gjorts om ämnet, en analys av en klassisk Disneyfilm som har utförts genom att studera hur filmmusiken har använts i filmen, och erfarenheter som har erhållits från arbetet med verket har samspelet mellan ljud och bild studerats. Problemställningen för den här reflekterande texten har varit: Hur kan samspelet mellan ljud och bild användas för att förmedla en önskad stämning i de scener vi har valt att skapa? På vilket sätt kan ljudet användas för att binda ihop tagningarna till en enhet? Målet med verket har varit att jag ihop med en annan student vid namn Annette Nielsen ska skapa en pitchfilm till den tilltänkta långfilmenGabriel Glömmer som baseras på barnboken Gabriel Glömmer (Löfgren, 1965). Därefter ska det nystartade företaget Ögongodis Animation med hjälp av denna pitchfilm försöka sälja in idén till svenska medieföretag som SVT och TV4. Slutsatsen av studien som har gjorts i denna reflekterande text visade att med hjälp av musik är det möjligt att förmedla en önskad stämning i en filmsekvens.

In primary school reading-books in Swedish language is something that students come across early in school and have done ever since the 1800s. After World War II there have been major changes in society. 1962 there was a school reform where the school turned into a nine-year system of compulsory education. That is why it is interesting to see what reading books contain with regard to notions of children, family and class and how the developments have been from the 1950s until the present time. This study aims to analyze and compare the different aspects of how notions of children, family and class are produced in the reading books for primary school for pupils in third grade, between 1950 and 2009.The research questions were:What are the notions of children, family and class in the reading-books?What differences/similarities exist in the reading books from the 1950s to the  recent decades?What could be the reason?I have chosen to apply qualitative text analysis originating in idea analysis.

Sedan 1960 talet har screening för och vaccinering mot cervixcancer blivit allt mer utbrett, trots detta drabbas fortfarande 450 kvinnor varje år av cervixcancer i Sverige. Då incidensen minskar finns risken för att kunskapen om sjukdomen minskar. Syftet var därför att belysa kvinnors upplevelser av att behandlats för cervixcancer för att öka kunskap och förståelse i mötet med kvinnorna. Studien utfördes som en litteraturstudie där 20 artiklar låg till grund för resultatet. Resultatet belyser kvinnors upplevelser av att behandlats för cervixcancer och hur det påverkade vardagen, reproduktiv och sexuell hälsa, deras syn på framtiden samt hur de upplevde sjukvården.

AbstractBetween 1989-1996 and 2000-2003 a civil war took place in Liberia. During the war many, many people were killed or were forced to flee. Another of the war's characteristics was the high number of women being sexually abused and beaten by the soldiers. The aim of this thesis is to analyze to what degree the peacekeeping personnel in Liberia, foremost staff working for the UN and agencies related to the UN, have implemented Resolution 1325 in their work. Resolution 1325 was adopted by the members of the United Nations Security Council in year 2000 and aims to increase the efforts made to secure women's rights and security in parts of the world where war and crisis prevail.

Lack of political interest and will to deal with human rights violations carried out under the civil- military dictatorship, has characterized the transition and post-transition in Uruguay. The systematic use of torture, arbitrary imprisonments and forced disappearances in the relatively small country created a culture of fear that has been present through out the post-transition phase. Human rights groups have been central actors in the fight for truth and justice and against impunity. This study analyzes how these groups multiple democracy-building functions have contributed to democratic development. It also analyses how the democracy-building functions have been constrained by the political context.
