The aim of this study is to investigate wether the participatory democracy is a threat or a complement to the representative democracy. To achieve my purpose I will focus on two different lokal councils, the civil council in Hovsjö and the youth council in Västra Skogås, which have been objects of the urban policy in 1998. The theoretical framework on which this study is based consists of the participation democratic theory, representative democratic theory and implementation theory. By problemizing these theoretical frameworks in comparison with eachother I will mapp how these two lokal councils were implemented. The research question is: In what way was the civil council and the youth council a complement or threat to the representative democracy? In which way was it difficult to implement them?The method used for this purpose is a qualitative comparative case study.

Detta examensarbete ingår i kursen Y0009B vid Luleå Tekniska Universitet, där jag gjort en rapport med en övergripande jämförelse kring vägmodellering i Civil 3D 2015 och Novapoint 18.30 som idag är de två vanligaste vägprojekteringsprogrammen i branschen. Jämförelsen har skett utifrån den erfarenhet jag skaffat mig under min studietid då jag kommit i kontakt med de båda programmen. Genom att övergripande förklara hur vägmodellering går till och visualisera med hjälp av bilder, är tanken att detta ska bidra till att skapa förståelse för den som läser rapporten. Jämförelsen baserades på programmens respektive funktioner och hjälpmedel, som sedan ställdes mot varandra och där jag senare upptäckte att programmen visade sig ha många likheter men även en del olikheter. Utifrån jämförelsen och den uppfattning jag skapat mig kring programmen anser jag att Civil 3D ligger steget före i utvecklingen p.g.a.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att granska svenska läromedel från 1960 talet fram till 2004 ur ett skånskt perspektiv. Jag ville veta hur mycket utrymme skånsk historia har under epoken stormaktstiden i de svenska läroböckerna. Samt ta reda på hur man kan använda böckernas eventuella material i ett dåtids-, nutids- och framtidsperspektiv (historiemedvetande). Dessutom har jag tagit fram en grovplanering om hur man kan arbeta med lokalhistoria i skolan och följa Lpo 94. Uppgiften kan både tillämpas i grundskolan och gymnasiet med en viss modifikation. Metoden vilar på Christer Karlegärds, Staffan Selanders och Niklas Ammerts teorier för en läromedelsundersökning samt historiedidaktiskt arbetssätt inom skolan.

Vi utgår från ett diagram över utvecklingen av andelen sysselsatta i de tre sektorerna jordbruk, industri och tjänster under 1900-talet i Sverige. I detta diagram syns någon gång på 1960-talet en kraftig förändring, industrisysselsättningens andel ger sken av att minska kraftigt från ett år till ett annat. Uppsatsens syfte är att ta reda på vad som ligger bakom denna markanta förändring,"knäet". Vi vill ta reda på om det verkligen sker en så kraftig förändring som diagrammet ger sken av eller om andra faktorer som omdefinieringar av statistiken kan förklara"knäet". Vidare vill vi ta reda på hur industrisysselsättningens utveckling vid denna tid kan förklaras.

Uppsatsen har som syfte att beskriva relationen mellan den svenska militära underrättelsetjänsten och beslutsfattare på politisk nivå. Utgående från Samuel Huntingtons och Morris Janowitz teorier om civil-militära relationer studerar jag 1974 och 1996 års underrättelseutredningar för att genom en jämförelse av dessa försöka beskriva relationen utifrån teorins etablerade begrepp imperatives och control, i denna studie översatta till fordringar och kontroll.Studien genomförs som en kvalitativ innehållsanalys och dokumentstudie. Analysen av hur utredningarna beskriver den svenska militära underrättelsetjänsten tjänar som underlag för att beskriva relationen mellan beslutsfattare och underrättelsetjänst och hur denna utvecklats.Slutsatserna visar att det sedan mitten av 1970-talet råder en uttalad och tämligen oförändrad syn på att det är de funktionella fordringarna som styr den militära underrättelsetjänsten. Med en förändrad säkerhetspolitisk situation har den militära underrättelsetjänsten fått en viktigare roll och ökat inflytande i den politiska processen samtidigt som den politiska sidans syn på behov av kontroll och insyn i underrättelsetjänsten har ökat. The main purpose of this study is to examine and gain increased knowledge concerning the legal security of children taken into protective care. The purpose is also to enable contemporary social workers to reflect around phenomena in today´s social work, among other things how investigations are carried out surrounding children taken into protective care thought this historical study. To find out how social workers dealt with caretakings I have chosen to examine the personel files that the social workers compiled for each child and also interview a man who worked as a social worker at the time of the investigation. The paper is divided into two part studies were the first one studies legal security through Mattsson´s (2002) further development of KjÆnstad?s way to analyse legal security, namely through investigating the clarity of the law, procedural rules and the comtetenay of the social workers.

In this essay the aim is to look at difficulties in preservation of buildings in general, andespecially the ones of the modernist era. To navigate in this huge field the study is narroweddown to take place in Finspång, a small Swedish town. In Finspång there was a swimmingpool facility built in 1967. In 2003 the facility was closed down due to its unusable conditionsand then after seven years with discussions of different plans about what to do with thefacility it was demolished in 2010. This thesis aims at studying representatives from three groups in the Egyptian society with an ethnographic method and with regards to their experiences, reflections and stories of the Egyptian revolution. The material of the thesis is based on ethnographic fieldwork and on interviews.The purpose of the study is to explore different themes in the informants? stories related to society, freedom, social justice, human values, peace and civility. The purpose is also to examine the informants' stories with emphasis on various informal learning processes that occurred in the Egyptian social change.The study finds that according to the informants a society should be characterized, among other things, by human values, social justice, non-violence and peaceful methods and approaches. Various informal learning processes involving both individual citizens and active members of civil society and NGO groups were found to be practiced to be able to accomplish these changes in the Egyptian society to create a better future.The degrees of involvement of the various learning processes not only reflect differences between informants regarding the social and cultural background.

This bachelor thesis aims to investigate how social workers in Uppsala describe their procedure when investigating applications for housing assistance (i.e. boendestöd). Boendestöd is a specific type of services for people with disabilities, which aim to assist them in their lives. This welfare service is one of many regulated by the framework legislation that is the social services act (SoL 2001:453). Previous research indicates that civil servants who make decisions based on goal-oriented framework legislations like SoL, have a great freedom to act when they make judgments and decisions.

                                                  AbstractThe development of our society has in many ways changed the relationships between the political parties and the citizens. Fewer citizens are active in political parties, which has contributed to the fact that we see a form of catch-all effect and a development of parties that organizes more in forms of professional organisations. This paper has made a research of modells of democratic ideals and values between leaders and party-members in political parties in the local area. The purpose has been to show how these ideals and values can reflect back on the political development. The result shows that the development has created a form of catch-all effect and a professionalism in the parties.

The purpose of this thesis was to increase the understanding and discuss safety aspects in two stairwells on Nyforsgatan in Eskilstuna, where the buildings were built during the years 1965-1975. I have presented a proposal for improvement through lighting. I have through different methods, such as surveys, interviews, literature studies and observations, come to a conclusion: that there are opportunities for improvement through better lighting that allows orientation in space and creates a nice atmosphere which will remove the feeling of not being safe, e.g. dark corners and shadows. It has been an exciting process to gather enough of facts to rely on and to develop the lighting design for the environments.
