Föreliggande studies övergripande syfte har varit att undersöka vilka attityder gymnasieelever i den svenska skolan har till religionsämnet i skolan och vilka generella attityder de har till andra aspekter av religion och kunskap om religion samt att undersöka vilka samband som råder mellan attityderna. Metoden för genomförandet av studien har varit kvantitativ och tillvägagångssättet för insamling av datamaterial har varit gruppenkäter. Alla gymnasieelever som deltog i studien gick på en och samma mångkulturella skola som var belägen i en av Stockholms förorter. Sammanlagt deltog 84 gymnasieelever i studien. Statistiskprogrammen Excel och SPSS har fungerat som verktyg för att organisera materialet och stapeldiagram, korstabeller och korrelationsanalyser har använts för att analysera och tolka resultatet.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att analysera debatten som tog plats på hemsida Newsmill åren 2010och 2012 om intelligent design. Fokusen i själva textanalysen är en argumentationsanalys somtillsammans med kritisk diskursanalys skall utröna och förstå den maktförskjutning som går attfinna inom diskursen. Den kritiska diskursanalysen är byggd på Norman Fairclough. Analysen ärordnad kronologiskt och innefattar tjugotre artiklar allt som allt.Fokus i själva analysen ligger i att utröna och förstå hur debattörerna ställer sig till religion ochvetenskap i deras argumentation kring intelligent design. Här går att finna hur religion ofta förs insom begrepp i relation till personers emotionella agerande och överlag blir religion en belastning fördebattörerna.

Jag har i denna uppsats försökt med hjälp av en kvantitativ enkätundersökning ge en bild av högstadieelevers attityd till religionsämnet. Enkäten innehåller 14 strukturerade (med fasta svarsalternativ) attitydfrågor kopp-lade till religionskunskap. Uppsatsen innehåller dessutom en översiktlig presentation av religionsämnets ut-veckling under 1900-talet samt en kort genomgång av några böcker och uppsatser som skrivits om elevers at-tityd till religion och religionsämnet. Elevernas svarsresultat visar att religionsämnet inte anses som viktigt. Yngre elever och främst pojkarhar gene-rellt en mer negativ attityd till såväl religionskunskap som religion.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate and increase the understanding of a present function of today´s public library, namely the function of meeting place; here called the social function or social space. Two small town libraries are included in the study, and the questions examined are:How is this function described at the two libraries and what similarities and differences are there between the two? How can one describe the relation between how the library as social space is described in research and at the libraries? The theoretical framework used in examining these questions, consists of three different discourses in culture policy (the discourse of state, market and civil society) and theories on civil society and the public library. A summary of current research makes visible eight different aspects of the public library as a social space. These aspects functions as parts of the theoretical framework as well.

The purpose of this thesis was to find out whether the main class C (religion) in the Swedish classification system Klassifikationssystem för svenska bibliotek is well adapted to classify materials published in or imported to Sweden, and handled by Swedish libraries today. The questions we put to ourselves were:1. How easy to understand, and how useful is the main class C religion today?2. What, in the main class C, is satisfactory?3. What, in the main class C, is inconsistent, anachronistic or incorrect?4. What, in the main class C, is in need of change or renewal?The method that was used was a number of interviews with librarians and cataloguers. We have interviewed eight librarians from six different libraries, of different types, but all with a relatively large collection of religious materials.Though all of our respondents have expressed a feeling that all the major religions deserve equal treatment in the classification system and a similar division of space, after some pondering on the subject, our respondents have agreed that a larger space for Christianity is warranted considering the composition of the current collections and publication. Our respondents have in some cases expressed that there is a lack of instructions as to how the subdivisions of the main class C (religion) is meant to be used.

The purpose of this essay was to study the implementation of a policy document, which concerns questions of integration, in a municipality with an indirect government. I have especially focused on issues regarding how civil servants describe the usage of a specific policy document and to what extent their autonomy and the indirect government have had an impact on implementation, and to what extent signals from surrounding institutions have had an impact on the creation of the policy document. The study was based on qualitative interviews in groups, pairs and with single individuals with twenty-seven civil servants and politicians working with issues concerning the specific policy document.One of the conclusions of my study is that the reason for producing the document in the first place is that the municipality as an organization strives to acquire a sense of legitimacy. The intentions of the document have only partly been implemented by the civil servants and politicians, since the document is not used in their daily work. Here, their autonomy has played an important part, as the choice to not use the document is the servants' own.

The aim of this essay is to study how the Sami are presented in four textbooks about religion and history that are used in the schools of the majority culture of Sweden today and one book of ideas asto how a textbook could look like from a Sami's perspective. Its aim is not only to study how the Sami are presented but also to discuss how students who read these books could interpret what it means to be a Sami and what their culture is about. It is also meant to discuss how the Sami identitycould be formed. In order to be able to discuss this the essay uses three different kinds of theories about identity and culture. The analysis showed that there is little information about Sami culture, identity, religion and historypresented in the four textbooks used in schools of the majority culture and that these books seem to want students to think that the Sami are troublemakers but are and should be assimilated into the majority culture..

Syftet med mitt arbete var att öka min förståelse för hur barn tänker kring kunskapsbegreppet generellt samt specifikt inom historia och religion.Jag läste litteratur i ämnet för att ge en bakgrund till hur forskningen sett och ser på kunskap och inlärning. Martons m.fl. "Inlärning och omvärldsuppfattning" samt Pramlings "Barn och inlärning" har varit till stor hjälp. En viktig del i arbetet har även Pramlings metodbok för barnintervjuer haft. Jag har intervjuat åtta barn i en årskurs fyra om vad de uppfattat att de lärt sig generellt och specifikt på lågstadiet och jag har via enkät bett fyra lågstadielärare svara på frågor om vad de tar upp inom ämnena historia och religion samt vilka mål de har med sin undervisning däri.Med detta material som grund fann jag att det i denna grupp fanns en tydlig tendens att det som barnen i första hand uppfattar som kunskap var det som vi betecknar som grundläggande färdigheter inom matematik och svenska.

The aim of this study was to examine how the social services could investigate and support children of irregular immigrants within the boundaries of the law. More specifically it aimed to examine the legal possibilities and obstacles for the social services to support irregular immigrants, how the officials at the social services act considering the legal aspects, and how they reason morally and ethically when dealing with irregular immigrants. To answer the aim of the study the theory of positive law was used combined with qualitative interviews with two officials at the social services. Moreover a small quantitative telephone study with officials in the social services and with voluntary organizations was made. The study has used theories of sociology of law, law and ethics, and professional (civil) disobedience.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera hur utvalda läroböcker i engelska för grundskolan uppfyller läroplanens krav på jämställdhet och likabehandling samt hur förekomsten är av respektive kön, av människor med olika utländsk bakgrund, sexuell läggning, religion eller med funktionshinder. För att undersöka detta utfördes en kvantitativ granskning av fyra läroböcker i engelska för år 9, där såväl bild som text granskades. Resultatet visar att den värdegrund som skolan ska förmedla enligt gällande styrdokument inte kommer att förmedlas enbart genom läromedlen. Religion, sexuell läggning eller funktionshinder omnämns knappast överhuvudtaget och det finns en tydligt manlig dominans i illustrationer och bilder..

The purpose of this study was to gain understanding of orthodox Christianity in Swedish educational material. The aim was to compare the presentation of orthodox Christianity towards pupils before the new curriculum and after. With the help of an analytical approach by Bergström and Boreu ?s and the interpretation strategy by Quentin Skinner, I have studied material used in school for the subject religion. I have limited my educational material in one way.
