Detta examensarbete på c-nivå, är en intervjustudie om chefers kompetensutveckling gjord på ett universitet. Det bygger på fyra intervjuer med chefer som har en prefektroll och en kompetensutvecklare som representerar universitetet. Syftet är att belysa organisationens mål och arbete med kompetensutvecklingen för chefer och se om målen överensstämmer med respondenternas upplevelser av kompetensutvecklingsinsatsen. Ger chefsutbildningen de förutsättningar som respondenterna behöver och hur upplever respondenterna kompetensutvecklingsinsatsen utifrån organisationens mål och syfte.Utifrån resultaten har paralleller dragits till tidigare forskning kring prefektens roll, kompetens och lärande, samt Ellströms teori kring anpassningsinriktat- och utvecklingsinriktat lärande för att se hur resultatet skulle kunna användas för att utveckla och möjliggöra en utveckling som leder till ett ökat lärande.Resultaten visar att organisationen har en chefsutbildning som möter chefernas behov och vidare framkom i resultaten att utbildningen var ett bra forum att diskutera erfarenheter och frågeställningar i, med personer på samma typ av position i organisationen.Det som framkom var också att respondenterna ansåg, utifrån sin upplevelse, att organisationen kunde utveckla en del moment i utbildningen. Bland annat hur prefekten kan leda/utveckla sin institution organisatoriskt på ett tydligare sätt.

The main purpose of this essay was to study the program "Nationellt stöd för kunskapsutveckling inom socialtjänsten" ("National support for knowledge development within the social services") from the National Board of Health and Welfare on the basis of how such a development, as represented by the program, could affect clients' possibilities to participation and influence within the social services.To respond to the purpose I used the following questions at issue:* How is client participation and client influence defined in the program?* What arguments for and/or against client participation and client influence are stated?* Which patterns and similarities/differences are possible to discern between the municipalities and universities that participated in the program when it comes to client participation and client influence?The study was conducted as a document analysis. I studied documents from the program both on a national and a local level. The essay uses empowerment theories and theories concerning client participation and client influence. The main conclusions were that on the national level the authors of the documents spoke with caution about their view on client participation and client influence and expressed that it had to be balanced against the rights of the citizens and the social workers for example.

Democracy has been a part of the Swedish society for a long period of time and it is also a part of the Swedish elementary school curriculum, in which you can find a number of statements that expresses that the Swedish elementary school should socialize the children into becoming role model citizens. This also conjures with the available research that describes schools in general as socializing. This led me to a question that hasn?t been answered: How much of the curriculums reasons for socialization the pupils are based on democratic values and how much of it can be dated back to events prior to the curriculum?The methodological approach is an analysis of ideologies as described by Sven-Eric Liedman and Ingemar Nilsson in Ideologi och ideologianalys. The text is focusing on the fact that a text has two layers; one is the manifest which is roughly the same as explicit or present in the text.

In an effort to strengthen democracy in the union, the EU in 2005 took a new approach to communications policy to reach out to the citizens. The strategic document "Plan D for Democracy, Dialogue and Debate" was accompanied by two other documents, and the three of them were the core of this policy. Both democracy and communications work means at EU level a higher complexity than in the nation-state arena. Objective of this study is to examine how the implementation of Plan D has turned out in a democracy renewal perspective. To achieve that answers are sought to questions concerning the goals of Plan D, how they are still present today, what happened in practice regarding the efforts that are highlighted, and how the substance of the activities can be judged from a democratic theory perspective.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att se hur lokal dagspress i Västerbottens län framställer konflikten i Västerbotten samt undersöka vad detta hanterande haft för konsekvenser när det gäller konfliktens reproduktion. Detta görs genom en analys av en rad artiklar skrivna Västerbottens folkblad och Västerbottenskuriren. Fokus ligger på den rådande konflikten samt de bilder av densamma som förmedlas, detta I förhållande till hur den infallsvinkel som tidningarna själva väljer att förmedla kan tolkas utifrån ett etnicitetsperspektiv.Frågeställningar:Vilka diskurser återfinns i rapporteringen från den rådande konflikten mellan Vapstens sameby, övriga samer och övriga aktörer i Västerbottens folkblad och Västerbottenskuriren?Vad kan man, med hjälp av ovanstående, utläsa av detta I förhållande till konfliktens reproduktion?Vad kan man säga om konflikten som den framställs i Västerbottenskuriren och Västerbottens folkblad ur ett etnicitetsperspektiv?Man kan genom att studera artiklarna lingvistiskt se ett kategoriserande av samebyarna och staten som den ?andra? parten i konflikten. Detta gäller inte enbart de debattartiklarna som skrivits och analyserats utan även de artiklar skrivna av journalister.

This paper analyzes governance of cultural and ethnic integration. The study has a comparative perspective between five municipalities in Skåne. One aim in this thesis is to clearify the ratio between the state and municipal authority and how municipalities exercise their autonomy. I analyze the advantages and disadvantages in different governance methods linked to how the municipalities are working in practice and what problem the integration policy is intended to eliminate. I also resolve the influence of officials and citizens in the policy process.My conclusion is that direct ruling to a large extent is limited by indirect control.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka självförtroende och kroppsbild hos datorspelare, styrketränare och en kontrollgrupp. En webbenkät med manliga medlemmar på dator- och idrottsrelaterade internetforum genomfördes. Kontrollgruppen var medlemmar på dessa forum som varken styrketränade eller spelade datorspel. Skalorna Social physique anxiety scale, Rosenberg self-esteem scale och Drive for muscularity scale administrerades. Resultatet visar att grupperna inte var signifikant skilda åt gällande social fysisk ångest eller självförtroende.

In order to see what democratic ideals that is being express it becomes important to study the research about democracy in Botkyrka. It is from this thinking this study about democracy and research has been formed.

Specialistsjuksköterskor, exempelvis distriktsjuksköterskor och barnmorskor, arbetar självständigt. De behöver ofta göra avancerade bedömningar och fatta snabba beslut utan tillgång till läkare. Syftet med examensarbetet var att undersöka specialistsjuksköterskors upplevelse av att delta i professionell handledning. Denna studie utgår från en kvalitativ ansats med en konventionell kvalitativ innehållanalys. För att uppnå ett brett urval kontaktades verksamheter inom intensivvård, akutsjukvård, ambulans-och psykiatrivård samt även verksamhetsansvariga inom den kommunala vården.

The purpose of this master thesis is to show how a chosen actor in form of the Swedish union organization IF Metall (the Swedish union for metal- and industrial workers) works with pro-reading activities. The project being scrutinized is the Read to me dad-project which aims at fathers who are not used to reading activities within the LO-group (the Swedish Trade Union Confederation). The methods used are interviews and literary studies. The theoretical background of my discussion is based on three education ideals. The neo-humanist ideal emphasizes the personal improvement through literature.

This master thesis has been carried out at Scania R&D at the department for Powertrain Control System Development during the winter of 2010/2011. In the thesis the writer examine and evaluate the existing method for collecting information from the tests carried out during the development of the Powertrain Control Systems software. It also contains suggestions for how a new method that enhance the validation elements could look like.The master thesis uses Vicentes theories of the ecological approach and theories of how knowledge sharing of tacit and technical information works within an organization and between the organization and its customers. First a workplace analysis at Scania R&D is carried out to see how Powertrain Control Systems work and how they test their software. Second a control task analysis, where the aims decided on after the interviews, is compared to the existing method.

This study aims to examine attitudes and conceptions of staff who work with mentally disabled persons, concerning normalization and gender. Six qualitative interviews with such professionals were performed and subsequently analyzed. Since the method of this study is qualitative, no claim of generalizability is made. The interview material has been categorized into themes by means of coding. The result of the study is presented according to those themes.

Denna studie undersöker vilka miljödiskurser, sätt att tala om och förstå, miljöproblematik som finns i läroböcker i samhällskunskap på gymnasiet. Syftet är att undersöka detta och sätta det i relation till läroplanen Lpf94. Detta inbegriper att undersöka den diskursordning som läromedlen skapar, vilket är summan av de miljöproblematiksdiskurserna vilka finns i läroböckerna. De läroböcker som undersökts är Zigma ABC, Reflex ABC, Samhälle.nu BC, Forum ABC, Nya Millennium ABC och Exposé AB. Undersökningen har skett genom en diskursanalys baserad på Norman Faircloughs Critical Discourse Analysis och John S.

The purpose of the study is to explore how social media can be used as a forum to discuss politics and also how young people use critical reflection to evaluate the information available on social media. To achieve the purpose, a qualitative research is used. The empirical data is collected through semi-structured interviews with six high school students who voted in the Swedish parliamentary elections in/of 2014. The empirical data were then analyzed based on previous research on social media, and the school's mission to foster individuals who think critically. The analysis is also based on the theory of deliberative democracy model.
