Bakgrund: Fatigue är ett cancerrelaterat symtom och drabbar ca 61- 100 % av cancer patienterna. Det är en långdragen trötthet som gör det svårt för de drabbade att leva ett normalt liv. Syftet med arbetet var att belysa cancerrelaterad fatigue samt se hur patienter anpassar sig till att leva med detta cancerrelaterade symtom. Metod: En litteraturöversikt genomfördes, med artikelsökning i databaserna PubMed och Cinahl. Innehållsanalys gjordes på funna artiklar, totalt inkluderades 14 artiklar i resultatet.

The purpose with this work is to describe the language that is built around the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) in Sweden. Our questions are: What does the professional field look like; who writes, about what and for which kind of readers? How do they describe the expressions and the upcoming of CFS? For which reasons can CFS be considered as a medical diagnosis/illness? How can CFS be understood from a social perspective? Our theoretical starting point is a social constructive theory and also Karin Johannisson's theory about medicalization and Foucault?s theory about power. We have from a literature-exposition of Swedish articles from 1989 to 2006, done a social constructive discourse analysis with help from Laclau & Mouffe's discourse theory, and Fairclough's model of social practices. In our textual analysis we found three dominating discourses: A medical discourse, a social/cultural discourse and a general/popular discourse.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att beskriva hur livskvaliteten påverkas hos personer med Multipel Skleros (MS) och vad som kan göras för att öka livskvaliteten. I syftet ingick även att beskriva hur personer med MS upplever fatigue som är ett av huvudsymtomen av sjukdomen samt vad som kan göras för att lindra följderna av fatigue. Artiklarna har sökts i databaserna Elin@Dalarna och Cinahl, tillgängliga via Högskolan Dalarnas proxyserver och granskats med hjälp av en granskningsmall för att säkerställa att de var av en god kvalitet. Sökord som användes var: ?multiple sclerosis?, ?quality of life?, ?nursing? och ?fatigue?.

Bakgrund: Varje år drabbas 55 000 personer i Sverige av cancer och behandlas oftast med kombinerade behandlingar. Den vanligaste biverkningen och det mest påfrestande symtomet vid cancer är fatigue. Fatigue betyder extrem trötthet/utmattninig och är en subjektiv upplevelse. Fatigue är inte en trötthet som går över efter sömn och vila.Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att beskriva hur det är att leva med fatigue vid cancer och cancerbehandling.Metod: En systematisk litteraturstudie som bygger på 15 vetenskapliga artiklar. Artiklarna är både kvalitativa och kvantitativa och har kvalitetsgranskats utifrån Fribergs kriterier för analys av vetenskapliga studier.

Stressrelaterad långtidssjukskrivning för depression, ångest och utmattningssyndrom har ökat drastiskt det senaste årtiondet i Sverige och diskussioner förs om vad som ska ingå i ett rehabiliteringsprogram för personer med utmattningssyndrom. Hur rehabiliteringen genomförs är av största vikt för tillfrisknande och återgång till arbete. Vad i den arbetsinriktade rehabiliteringen, som personer med utmattningssyndrom upplever som mest effektivt är därmed viktigt att ta del av. Har rehabiliteringen bidragit till upplevda förbättringar? Vad i rehabiliteringen har varit bra och vad kan göras bättre? I detta examensarbete har utgåtts från deltagarnas perspektiv och upplevelser, utan koppling till någon speciell metod.

Fibromyalgi (FM) är ett tillstånd av kronisk smärta, förutom smärtan karaktäriseras sjukdomen även av sömnstörningar, extrem trötthet och kognitiva störningar. Att ständigt leva med smärta innebär en stor stressfaktor och både fysiska, psykiska och stressrelaterade symtom är vanliga. Den ständigt närvarande upplevelsen av fatigue liknar den som beskrivs vid kroniskt trötthetssyndrom. Fatigue definieras som ett tillstånd av onaturlig och onormal eller extrem trötthet i hela kroppen, som inte är relaterat till aktivitet eller ansträngning. Syftet med studien var att beskriva vilka icke-farmakologiska interventioner som förekommer för att lindra fatigue hos patienter med FM.

Since 1 January 2010 it is a requirement to use the European standards, Eurocodes, in Sweden when constructing bridges. One chapter that has caused an extra amount of problems for the engineers is the one about fatigue analysis, which resulted in us doing this thesis.To do this we had to read all of the Eurocodes that direct, or indirect deals with fatigue and calculating of such. We have read the background documents for the Eurocodes and master?s thesis in the subject. We also studied the calculations of bridges constructed by different construction firms.We have chosen to limit the thesis to discuss only road bridges made of concrete due to the lack of method for verification of concrete in the national appendix.

In January 2004 two members of the Pentecostal community Knutby Filadelfia in Uppsalamunicipality, Sweden, were shot by their fellow member Sara Svensson. With a qualitative hermeneutic case study as the principal method this essay takes on the task of not only investigating if and how Stockholm Syndrome can be used as a model for interpreting and understanding the violent incident in Knutby Filadelfia, but also to see if the unique characteristic of the Knutby incident can tell us something about Stockholm Syndrome as a model for understanding violence in religious movements. The material shows Stockholm Syndrome as having been present in Knutby because of among other things, a mileu, leadership and theology that supported the normalization of abuse and the enabling and maintaining of self punishment in the community. While Stockholm Syndrome still is a controversial theory this study shows that it can be used as a powerful tool in the understanding of violence in religious contexts..

This study is about people with Asperger syndrome and their difficulties in all kinds of communication in society. Through the language we code objects and events to remember and observe the environment. The aim is to compare research with the actual experiences of people with Asperger syndrome, in relation to their difficulties in society / communication. Three questions have been given extra attention. The first is what similarities and differences there are between people with Asperger syndrome.

The purpose with my examination is to make a contribution to how, as a pedagogue, you can work to make it easier for pupils with Aspergers syndrome that are integrated in an ?average? class. I will concentrate my work to these questions: how pedagogues can work to make it easier for pupils with Asperger syndrome that are integrated in an ?average? class. If it affects the other pupils in the class when pupils with Asperger syndrome is integrated in the class and also if it affects the pedagogues work having these children integrated in their ?average? class.I have decided to study research and other literature and also to do two interviews to find out how pedagogues can make it easier for children with the diagnosis Asperger syndrome.

Multipel skleros, MS, är en neurologisk autoimmun sjukdom som drabbar centrala nervsystemet. Trötthet/fatigue upplevs av många som ett av de svåraste symptomen som inverkar starkt på det vardagliga livet. MS-relaterad fatigue/trötthet ger en känsla av utmattning och brist på energi som kan vara överväldigande. Tröttheten är orimlig i förhållande till de aktiviteter som utförs. Syftet med uppsatsen var att beskriva hur det är att leva med MS-relaterad fatigue/trötthet.

The purpose of this study is to examine how two educators at a preschool that is located in a neighborhood south of Stockholm works with TAKK with children who has Down syndrome in a language promotion purposes. The aim is also to investigate what teachers think about using TAKK with children without special needs and children with Down syndrome.In this study, I used qualitative research methods. I've used both observations and interviews to get answers to my questions. The theories which I have used in this thesis is, socio-cultural perspective, including integration and segregated integration.In order to find out how the educators work with TAKK I have asked these questions:How do the educators work with TAKK with children with Down syndrome from a language development perspective?What do the educators express about using TAKK with children without special needs and with children who has Down syndrome?My conclusions to these questions are that the literatures I have read in many ways are consistent with how they work.

In the current situation there is a lack of documented research on horses' involvement in rehabilitation and social work. Studies show that animals, and especially horses, can have a positive impact on human well-being, both physically and mentally.

Speech disorders are common in children with 22q11-deletion syndrome, but there is limited knowledge about speech in adults with this syndrome. The aim of this study is to describe speech and voice in adultswith 22q11-deletion syndrome, and compare the results with a control group.Ten adults between 19-49 years participated in each group. The study wasbased on the Swedish dysarthria assessment, Dysartribedömningen. Thetested abilities were respiration, phonation, oral motor function, velopharyngeal function, articulation, prosody and intelligibility. Communicative participation was examined as well.

Introduction: Pain is a subjective experience. People subjected to pain often experience a reducedquality of life. Chronic pain is pain that has been going on for at least threemonths.Problem area: People with chronic pain are subjected to unnecessary suffering and disability. Therefore it is crucial that the nursing staff takes their situation seriously.Purpose: The purpose of the study was to describe the patient's? experiences and apprehensionof living with chronic non-malignant pain, and how this affected their everydaylife.Method: Systematic analysis of 23 depicting articles.
