Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ studie som bygger på fem intervjuer med enhetschefer för HVB- hem. Dessa verksamheter är behandlingsverksamheter där huvuddelen av klienterna utgörs av barn och ungdomar, men det förekommer även vuxna som klienter. Samtliga verksamheters huvudfokus ligger på familjebehandling och är så kallade utförarverksamheter vars uppdragsgivare är socialtjänsten. Socialtjänsten är den huvudsakliga samverkanspartnern,men det förekommer även kontakter med andra myndigheter såsom skola, sjukvård, Migrationsverk, polis och kriminalvård. Studiens syfte är att beskriva den problematik som enhetscheferna upplever i samverkan med socialtjänst och andra myndigheter.

Detta arbete grundar sig på sex djupintervjuer med vägledare på olika grundskolor i Malmö, samt kortare intervjuer med rektorer på några av dessa skolor. Vägledarnas arbetsuppgifter har stått i centrum för arbetet. Den bild som byggdes upp av de intervjuer jag gjort visar att vägledarens arbetsuppgifter påverkas mycket av ledningens åsikter och agerande, men även att varje vägledare själv till viss del påverkar sin situation. För enkelhetens skull har jag valt att genomgående i mitt arbete kalla studie- och yrkesvägledare för ?vägledare? och benämner dem för ?hon? då de flesta i denna studie är kvinnor. I arbetets inledande kapitel presenterar jag bakgrunden där jag berättar om gällande styrdokument för grundskolan, tidigare forskning om vägledning på grundskolan samt exempel på vad vägledning bör stå för. Här tar jag även upp syfte, frågeställning och hypotes. I kapitel två tar jag upp de teoretiska utgångspunkter som jag anser vara relevanta för arbetet, dessa använder jag mig av i analysdelen där jag relaterar mitt arbete till hur dagens skolor som resultatenheter påverkar arbetsmiljön med hjälp av Anita Jansons bok Att vara chef för en resultatenhet. Jag har även tittat på maktperspektivet med hjälp av Rädslans makt skriven av Christian Ylander och möjligheterna till förändring med hjälp av Kjell Skogen & Mari-Anne Sörlie, Introduktion till innovationsarbete.

The present thesis closer examines what has come to be known as al-Qaida, partly from what al-Qaida is considered to be, partly from the consequences a certain picture of al-Qaida might give rise to. Between 1988-2001 most of this thesis sources refers to al-Qaida as a small, organized core group with some degree of cell structure. From 1991 to present days, many of the sources enlarge the picture of al-Qaida. From now on they start to view al-Qaida as either a network in itself or al-Qaida as a part of a larger islamistic network, not only as an organized core group with presumptive bases in Afghanistan. The most recent of theories regarding al-Qaida looks at al-Qaida as an ideology in itself (al-Qaedaism) or al-Qaida as a part of previously existing ideologies (Islamism, Neofundamentalism and Jihadism-Salafism).Al-Qaida is being seen - by scholars, journalists and terrorism experts - as an organization with a core group, a network in itself, part of a larger islamistic network and an ideology of its own or as a part of already existing ideologies.

Freedom of religion or belief is indisputable in Human rights discourse, more discussed is exactly what it is that is included in the concept of freedom of religion or belief (in Swedish: religionsfrihet). This thesis focuses on the freedom of religion or belief in a European context, in particular on the European court of human rights and article 9 in the European convention for human rights. Some criticism has been directed against the Court to the effect that its practice and verdicts don't answer to the pronounced desire to develop a pluralistic and inclusive form of freedom of religion or belief.My aim is to examine, analyse and test three different theories, which all try to develop alternatives to the expression freedom of religion or belief, in relation to six verdicts from article 9 in Europe convention. My basic purpose is to try to find new ways of talking about freedom of religion or belief that might lead to a more inclusive, pluralistic and equal interpretation of that concept.The three theories wich I use are elaborated by Richard Amesbury (associate professor at Claremont school of Theology); Hugo Strandberg (TD at Åbo Akademi) and Eberhard Herrmann (professor in philosophy of religion at Uppsala University); and Martha Nussbaum (professor of law and ethics at the University of Chicago). This essay deals with the political upheavals which occurred in Japan with the Meiji Restoration of 1868 and its impact on the Samurai Class. This transitional period in Japanese history is portrayed in the film The Last Samurai from 2003, and it's the comparison between this Hollywood production and the current research on the subject on which this essay focuses. Two key figures who are portrayed in the film are Nathan Algren (Tom Cruise), an American soldier from the Indian Wars of the 1860/70s who travels to Japan to quell the Samurai rebellion but ends up in captivity; only to learn their codex of honor and way of life and eventually become a Samurai himself. The other character calls himself Katsumoto (Ken Watanabe) and becomes the representative of the Samurai's struggle for their existence. Their friendship and cultural exchanges will remain a cornerstone throughout the film.

The purpose of the essay has been to examine representations of immigrants in contemporary library and information science research in a Scandinavian context. By analyzing nine articles from the past decade we examine the perceptions that exist in the concepts of multiculturalism, culture, race, ethnicity, religion, gender and whiteness and what role and importance the library as a place is assigned in relation to immigrants as a user group. Our study consists of a qualitative text analysis, a critical oriented close reading method based on critical race and whiteness studies and intersectional theory. We have, with the help of Sara Ahmed´s theories of hegemonic whiteness, demonstrated how multiculturalism is partly presented as something desirable and good, partly as something potentially threatening.The discourse of multiculturalism can be said to express the notions of the other, which in the source material manifests itself by ascribing otherness to immigrants. We have, for example, examined how ethnical and cultural differences are highlighted by a separation of East and West, the library?s educational and assisting role in relation to immigrants as a user group as well as representations of whiteness, gender and clothes.

Based on a review of literature on evalution of public activities and in purpose to introduce amore general framework, this study describes a picture of the concept, context, motives,strategies, use and actors in Evaluation as these are experienced outside the field of libraryand information. The background is the increased need for" evaluations in public libaries and aneed for new LIS knowledge about it. The reviewed literature has its origin in differentdisciplinary contexts and the study include contributions from policy studies, sociologi,education research, business administration, philosophy and anthropology. The focus, though,is not placed upon differences in the literature but on similarities.The review is organised in six parts. In the first part a presentation is given of how evaluationsare conceptualized and its meaning in a historical perspective.

The aim of this essay is to study how the University Church is represented in student newspapers. By conducting an inductive thematic analysis on sixteen articles chosen from newspapers distributed by the student union at three Swedish universities, the main purpose of the study is to further understand the role and function of the University Church in a contemporary Swedish context. Three themes emerging from the initial step of the thematic analysis were chosen for further analysis: (1) a secularized church?, (2) provocation and (3) reasons to seek out the University Church. The themes were then highlighted by two theoretical perspectives: Mark Chaves? theory of internal secularization and a theoretical framework developed by Anders Bäckström with the aim to explain the role of the church as a welfare agent in Sweden.The study shows that the University Church is portrayed as both an ambiguous and complex organization.

Uppsatsen analyserar deras respektive föreställningar om fenomenet med särskilt tonvikt på skärningspunkter mellan psykiatri och filosofi. Depersonalisation definieras av dessa tänkare som att kroppen och jaget upplevs som främmande, automatiskt, externt och iakttaget från utsidan på ett tvångsmässigt sätt. Jaspers och Gebsattels föreställningar står i motsättning till ett biologiskt och psykologiserande förstående av psykiskt lidande som var vanligt i deras tid. Det finns hos dessa tänkare en konflikt mellan att å ena sidan vilja undvika att förtingliga människan och hennes lidande till fastställda definitioner, och att å andra sidan betrakta ett upplöst och undflyende jag som patologiskt..

I meet in my work as art teacher many students of different descent, were they, or their parents, have different school experience than the Swedish. This, in combination with therecent discussion after the Muhammad caricatures about the banning of images in Islamic religion, made me curious to study what art education in a Muslim country looked like. I went to visit the Maramra Egitim Köyü school in Istanbul, Turkey, and especially their art classesfrom grade five to eight, which are the same age of students that I have been working with thelast ten years. This was my first visit to Turkey.The question I ask is: What does the practice of Turkish art education look like, using the Marmara school as an example. Which discourses can I identify in the art teacher practice? What surprised me the most was the frequent visual exposure of the founder of the Turkishstate, Kemal Atatürk.

The following essay is named The canonization of Joan of Arc, a Church political strategy or the creation of a national symbol? Joan of Arc, the French heroine of the Hundred Years War, was canonized as late as 1920, in a process that began already in 1869. In the following essay I am trying to work out if this canonization is a work of the Vatican in order to gain popularity in France after the breakup with the state in 1905. The Catholic Church had, since the French Revolution, faced difficulties withstanding its position of power in the presence of the upcoming Secularism and Liberalism and their growing public support. The Catholic Church had been fighting for its members and at the same time fighting the new ideas of Socialism, Communism and Liberalism.

Three main questions give the fundamental structure for this master thesis: 1) In what way is the notion of law being perceived in the following theologians respectively; David P. Scaer, Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Wolfhart Pannenberg? 2) In what way is the notion of law being perceived in the encyclical Veritatis Splendor? 3) Which similarities and divergences can be found in the respective expositions of the notion of law?For the purpose of comparison, I have employed four questions of analysis. Problem: Konsumtionsforskningen har gått ifrån fokusering på människans fysiologiska behov och synen på människan som en enskild individ till fokus på de psykologiska och sociala behoven där människan sätts in i ett socialt sammanhang. Vilka föreställningar har studenter vid Service Management programmet, Campus Helsingborg, Lunds Universitet, om konsumtion? Hur kan dessa föreställningar relateras till befintliga forskningsperspektiv?Syfte: Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka de föreställningar som Service Management studenter har om konsumtion.Metod: För att undersöka de föreställningar som studenter har kring konsumtion genomfördes gruppdiskussioner. Materialet som samlades in analyserades med utgångspunkt i en modell av Per Østergaard och Christian Jantzen. Modellen utgörs av fyra olika perspektiv inom konsumtionsforskning; köpbeteende, konsumentbeteende, konsumentforskning och konsumtionsstudier.Slutsatser: I beskrivningen av studenternas föreställningar om konsumtion går det inte att utesluta något av modellens olika perspektiv.
