The purpose of this study was to obtain an understanding of how the employees at LFV Group Swedish Airports and Air Navigation Services (Luftfartsverket) manage to combine work and family, and put this in relation to the concepts of employer of choice and socially sustainable development. Qualitative interviews were carried out with 23 randomly selected participants at the three largest places of work within the organisation. The results showed that the combination of work and family mostly could be managed but that factors like high workload and feelings of stress affected the participants in a negative way. The main measures facilitating the combination of work and family were shorter working hours and support with domestic chores. LFV can partly be considered an employer of choice when it comes to family friendly benefits but changes could be made for further improvement.

För att skapa en effektiv och konkurrenskraftig kapitalmarknad har Europeiska Unionen beslutat om en gemensam redovisningsstandard som trädde i kraft år 2005. IAS 39 är en standard för redovisning och värdering av finansiella instrument. Enligt denna ska finansiella instrument värderas till verkligt värde och värdeförändringar ska påverka det redovisade resultatet eller eget kapital. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om IAS 39 har skapat en mer rättvisande bild av företagets finansiella ställning till dess intressenter samt hur revisorernas arbetssätt har anpassats. Efter den empiriska undersökningen bestående av fyra intervjuer med revisorer kan uppsatsförfattarna konstatera att det föreligger delade meningar huruvida en mer rättvisande bild har skapats.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka skillnader i upplevelse av självkänsla, ångest och depression samt att koppla det till prestation hos gymnasieelever. Studien granskar även genusskillnader. Datainsamlingen sker med ett eget instrument för bakgrundsvariabler samt med beprövade instrument för självkänsla, ångest och depression. För att mäta elevernas prestation används elevers enskilda provresultat. Resultaten visar att det inte finns något samband mellan elevers grad av självkänsla, ångest och deras prestation.

This thesis examines the environmental benefits resulting from the choice of environmental certification scheme, with focus on energy. This was carried out by studying the measures that were implemented as a result of the certification of Sweco's three largest office buildings in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö. The office property in Stockholm has been certified with the Swedish Environmental Building, Gothenburg with the British BREEAM and Malmö with the U.S system LEED.The results from the study indicate that an environmental certification can reduce the energy consumption by up to 59 percent and the water consumption by 20 to 66 percent. However; the interviews, literature study and simulations in MATLAB indicate that the size and scope of these environmental benefits depend on several identified factors: the type of building and its conditions, system selection, grade level, the choice of indicators, the ambition of those involved and when in time the certification process begins. The comparison between Environmental Building, LEED and BREEAM showed that Environmental Building for the office property in Stockholm gave the largest environmental benefit in terms of reduced energy consumption thanks to several large measures.

The following essay investigates emission rights accounting. Presently there are several methods through which emission rights can be accounted for by companies. The rights can for instance be valued at fair value or nominal value and as marketable securities or intangible assets; due to a lack of consensus or clear standards companies use these or other accounting methods to value their rights. This essay investigates whether there is a relationship between the company?s choice of accounting method, the key ratio number of owned emission rights/total assets, the accounting firm used and the yearly result as a sign of earnings management.Through a quantitative study based on questioners and numbers from the annual reports three hypothesis are tested.

What is the?self? and to become ?one-self?? To resolve this questions possibility I´ve been using the philosopher Søren Kierkegaard metaphysic paradoxes. This essay about the ?self? shows the reader the difference between describing a transcendent and immanent phenomenon and if it´s possible to become or to not become ourselves. Syftet med undersökningen är att ta reda på om det finns ett samband mellan KASAM och motivation till att öva på sitt instrument, hos gymnasieungdomar i årskurs tre, två klasser, på estetiska programmet. Undersökningen är en kvantitativ enkätstudie med 29 gymnasieelever på en skola i en mellansvensk stad, med bortfall noll. Aaron Antonovskys livsfrågeformulär (KASAM 13) användes för att mäta gymnasieelevernas grad av KASAM, enkäten kompletterades med en egen fråga (benämnd Egen) gällande informanternas motivation till att öva på sitt instrument. De undersökta elevernas motivation till övning (EgenO) hade ett medelvärde på 3.79 varav 7 var det högsta värdet för maximal motivation till övning, vilket kan anses vara varken högt eller lågt. För att sammanfatta resultatet kring korrelationen mellan KASAM i förhållandet till motivation att öva på sitt instrument kan det konstateras att studien visar att informanterna har en relativt låg känsla av meningsfullhet i det de gör.

During the financial crisis voices were raised towards the regulatory framework IAS 39 recognition and measurement of financial instruments and pointed out that it was inadequate. The complexity of the framework contributed to the fact that it was difficult to apply. IASB accelerated the modeling of the new to be regulatory framework IFRS 9. In this study we will focus on the reliability of accounting information, which is an important aspect from the stakeholder?s point of view, for example, to be able to make the best decisions the accounting information should be proper.

Larvae of Lepidopteran Manduca sexta and Spodoptera littoralis are pests of economical importance in several horticultural and agricultural crops. Knowledge of insect feeding preferences and behavior is crucial in order to find economically and ecologically sustainable solutions to the problems caused by these herbivores. The aim of this thesis was to study the behavior and the induced feeding preferences in larvae of M. sexta and S. littoralis when reared on certain host plants. The hypothesis was that larvae of M. sexta would have an innate preference for plants of the Solanaceae family and therefore discriminate the previously experienced nonhost when faced with the choice between a true host and the previous food source.

Our purpose was to investigate if Swedish University educated social workers, living as active Christians, in any way might be influenced by Christian values. The main questions; Can Christian values be a factor in the choice of career to become a social worker? How does a personal belief in Christ impact the relationship towards the clients? Is Christian belief a support in the work? In this paper we used a qualitative method and interviewed eight persons, with a background as above, four of them employed by a church organisation and the other four working in the social sector. The result we present is that the eight Christian social workers Christian belief influenced their work very individually. How much this supported them was a choice about how official and open they wanted Christian values to be.

Marketing of education is a phenomenon which has been developed throughout the increasing competition within the educational sector. The focus of this paper is the marketing made by upper secondary schools (grade 10-12) in Stockholm. The competition in this area is increasing partly due to the growing number of private schools. However, this is a phenomenon seen only in larger cities with several schools available. There are over 170 upper secondary schools in Stockholm and the students freely can choose among these.

Att arbeta med kommunikativ förmåga är en av grundstenarna i logopedens yrkesutövning. Syftet med denna studie var att utveckla ett självskattningsinstrument som kan mäta kommunikativ förmåga, med möjlighet att fånga upp både positiva och negativa aspekter av förmågan. Instrumentet utvecklades i enlighet med klassisk mätteori. En första utvärdering av instrumentet gjordes i ett pilottest med 13 respondenter. Resultatet ledde till att antal items, det vill säga frågor, minskades från 133 till 78 och individuella items förändrades vid behov.

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to describe how Swedish public libraries use the online social network Facebook and its functions. Our focus of this study lies on how the librarians use the network and what experiences they?ve made. The questions we wanted to answer were:? How do the libraries in this study work with Facebook and its services? ? What do the interviewed librarians think about working with Facebook as an instrument?? What pros and cons can be identified from working with Facebook?The methodology used for this study was qualitative interviews.

A favourable economic situation in Sweden has lead to a very good market for agricultural real estates. The estate agents? ads in the daily newspapers, where they actively are seeking assignments, give a hint that the supply is smaller than the demand for agricultural real estates. This situation ends up in a competition between real estate agents to get as many assignments as possible to meet the demand from the market. Describing and explaining the sellers? decision process may give a specific agent an advantage towards other agents.

SyfteSyftet med den här uppsatsen var att undersöka om elever på gymnasieskolans Estetiska program inriktning musik upplevde jämställdhet i ensembleundervisningen. Eleverna på fyra olika skolor inom Skaraborg, årskurs två, har fått svara på en enkät där frågorna utgick ifrån syftet samt våra frågeställningar, vilka var: Bemöts tjejer och killar på samma sätt? Upplever eleverna att vissa instrument är förknippade med killar respektive tjejer? Hur speglas de ?traditionella könsrollerna? i musikundervisningen?MetodVi gjorde en kvantiativ studie och samlade in ett stort antal fakta genom en enkätundersökning med hög standardisering som byggde på påståenden med några öppna frågor, fasta svarsalternativ samt kommentarsfält där eleven kunde yttra sig ytterligare. Vi hade även en öppen fråga om förebilder och varför man valt just det instrumentet man valt. Avslutningsvis fick även eleven redogöra för om han/hon tyckte att olika instrument hade en manlig/kvinnlig eller könsneutral ställning.
