Samverkan eller motverkan? En studie om myndighetssamverkans konsekvenser för rättssäkerheten och barnperspektivet

Children that are taken care of for institutional care by the social services are unprivileged as a group. When society takes over the parenting role, it forces local governments and other accountable authorities to guarantee these Children satisfactory support and good care according to each Child's needs. The aim of this thesis is to analyze and discuss problems with implementation in policy processes when authorities incorporate. From the normative standpoint of legal security and the United Nations Children's Convention, this thesis investigates the consequences of interaction between two Swedish supervisory authorities for the social services: Socialstyrelsen and länsstyrelserna. To fulfill the aim I will investigate the approach taken by the authorities and the work division between Socialstyrelsen and länsstyrelserna.

Förlusten av ett barn : en litteraturstudie om föräldrars upplevelse under sorgarbetet

Att förlora sitt barn är den svåraste förlust en förälder kan uppleva i livet. Sorgen blir påtaglig och livet raseras på ett ögonblick. Syftet med studien var att beskriva föräldrarnas upplevelse under sorgarbetet vid förlusten av ett barn. Metoden som användes var en litteraturstudie med kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultatet sammanställdes utifrån åtta vetenskapliga artiklar som svarade på studiens syfte.

The aim of this thesis is to describe how to work with the development of language by reading aloud. I have chosen to look at the reading aloud project "Boksnurran" Book Wheel to see if it has influenced the daily work with reading in preschool. My questions are: How do they work with reading in preschool? Is the reading environment suitable? How do the staff describe their booktalks? What problems do they encounter? What can be improved? The thesis is based on qualitative interviews. Those interviewed have participated in "Book Wheel".

Man har henne bara till låns : Adoptivföräldrars förhållningssätt till föräldraskapet och sina barns biologiska ursprung

The aim of this study was to examine how adoptive parents related to parenting and how they related to their Children?s biological origin. Issues that were used were how adoptive parents described their own parenting, how they described their own thoughts about their Children eventually wanting to search their biological origin and how adoptive parents described the Child´s country of birth attitudes towards adoptees wishes to search their biological origin. The method used was qualitative research interviews. The theory that was used for analyzing the collected data was attachment theory.

Att drabbas av det ofattbara - Föräldrars upplevelse av att förlora ett barn i cancer

I Sverige insjuknar varje år cirka 300 barn i cancer. De vanligaste cancerformerna är leukemi samt hjärntumörer. Trots att forskningen har utvecklats är det en fjärdedel av de drabbade barnen som inte går att rädda. Då ett cancersjukt barn vårdas palliativt och sedan går bort, påverkas en hel familj med föräldrar och syskon. Att förlora ett barn är en fruktansvärd upplevelse.

The Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test - Revised Version á la Andersson & Karlsson

Introduction: The Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test is a widely used test for measuring aspects of social cognition. The aim of the present study was to provide results from a group of typically developing Swedish Children (age 9-12) and to compare these results with Children and adults in other Swedish and English studies, as well as results from a group of Children with Asperger syndrome. Method: A Swedish version of the Child version of the test was completed by 83 controls and by six Children with Asperger syndrome. Results were compared between the two groups and with data from other studies. Results: The Children in the current study did not differ on scores compared to Children in the same age group in other studies.

Att förebygga sexuella övergrepp mot barn : Om kunskapsläget och betydelsen av professionellas syn på barns delaktighet

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva och analysera hur ungdomar med utvecklings störning upplever sin fritid. Genom intervjuer ville jag få ett inifrånperspektiv på hur sju ungdomar 12 ? 18 år upplever tillgängligheten till olika fritidsaktiviteter samt vad en meningsfull fritid betyder för dem. Då flera ungdomar i studien hade begränsade möjligheter att samtala utan AKK, alternativa och kompletterande kommunikationssätt valde jag att genomföra intervjuerna med hjälp av samtalsmatta, ritprat samt tecken som stöd. Studien visar att ungdomarna i det stora hela är nöjda med sin fritid.

Den omkastade hierarkin : Framställningen av barn och vuxna i tre bilderböcker från olika tidsperioder

The aim of the study is to show how Children and adults are described in three picture books, examining how Children and adults are portrayed in text-and-picture narrative and how this has changed over time. We have analysed how the characters in the books are presented and how the representation of Children and adults has changed in our own times.The material for the study consists of three picture books from different periods, with the focus on how Children and adults are described as the common point of departure. The analysed picture books are: Tomtebobarnen (Beskow 1919), Aja baja, Alfons Åberg! (Bergström 1972) and Snäll (Dahle 2008).We have arrived at the conclusion that a text-and-picture narrative is in very large measure a reflection of the outlook on Children, Childhood and Child rearing at the time when the book was published. The result shows that the greatest change that has happened is that parents? and adults? dominance in the books has declined over the years, and that Children have been given a more prominent role.

The aim of this study was to shed light on how journalists describe the Child?s world and what gender labels are used in their descriptions. We wanted to get a better understanding of what happens when gender is constructed.In order to study how gender is constructed, we chose to examine how the Children?s magazine Kamratposten describes Children?s spare time. We chose Kamratposten because it turns to both girls and boys.

Biblioteket för barn av vuxna : en undersökning av barnbibliotekariers förförståelse av barns förutsättningar

The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate the understanding of Children's librari-ans regarding Children's needs and preconditions in a library context and based on devel-opmental psychology and information seeking theories. The Children's perspective is said to be the guiding star in the Children's library and the thesis also aims to study the chil-dren's perspective as defined by Children's librarians.The master thesis is a qualitative study based on interviews with Children's librarians working at major public libraries. Observations of the Children's libraries in the study have to some extent been performed.The study reveals that Children's librarians are fairly knowledgeable about Children but do not to a full extent use that knowledge into adapting the library to Children and their needs. The Children are not contributing to the adaptation of the library to any extent as there are few routines for that matter. In society in general Children are on a regular basis represented by adults and their perspective on Children and Children's needs, which may differ from the perspective Children have on their own lives, and the same is applicable for the Children's library.

Läsförmåga hos vuxna med intellektuell och/eller kommunikativ funktionsnedsättning som deltar i daglig verksamhet

The aim of the study was to examine the reading ability of adultswith intellectual and/or communicative disabilities. The group adults withintellectual and/or communicative disabilities consisted of 66 individuals.One control group consisting of 36 Children aged 7 to 12 years and onereference group consisting of 14 adults were used. Participants were given anumber of language and reading related tests. Adults with intellectual and/orcommunicative disabilities had significantly lower results than the adultreference group regarding all tests and significantly lower results than theChild control group regarding phonological processing. There was nodifference between adults with intellectual and/or communicative disabilitiesand the Child comparison group regarding word decoding and readingcomprehension.

Övervikt och fetma är ett stort problem både globalt och nationellt och drabbar både vuxna och barn. Överviktiga barn löper risk för medicinska, psykiska och sociala problem. Föräldrar spelar en nyckelroll i barnets liv och utveckling men även i behandlingen av barn med övervikt. Syftet var att undersöka föräldrars upplevelser av att ha ett barn med övervikt. Ett annat syfte var att undersöka deras behov av support.

IKT i förskolan : Diskursanalys av två styrdokument och sex förskollärares berättelser om arbetet med IKT

The aim of the study is to learn more about the way preschool teachers work with Information and Communication Technology(ICT). More specifically, this study aims to explore how preschool teachers describe their experience of ICT, the conditions and opportunities to work with ICT, and their own knowledge and competence in the use of digital tools with preschool Children. The research method consists of interviews with preschool teachers and observations at five municipal preschools in Stockholm as well as an analysis of the relevant passages in the Curriculum for the Preschool and the Curriculum of Stockholm city. This study shows that there seems to be great variation in the amount of ICT tools present in preschools. Preschool teachers expect a lot from ICT, and the improvements that it can make on their work.

Barns rädsla och smärta i samband med cancerbehandling : En litteraturöversikt

Cancer är en sjukdom som drabbar människor i alla åldrar. Den är fortfarande en av de vanligaste dödsorsakerna bland barn och ungdomar. Smärtan hos barn har underskattats på grund av bristfällig kunskap och därför inte alltid behandlats på ett adekvat sätt. Syftet med studien är att sammanställa och belysa forskning som beskriver huruvida rädsla kan påverka barns upplevelse av smärta vid cancerbehandling samt beskriva vilka åtgärder som kan vidtas för att minska rädslan och därmed smärtupplevelsen. Metoden som används är en litteraturöversikt som grundar sig på forskning som finns inom området.
