EGEN ZON - Rumsgestaltning för barn nio till tolv år på Stadsbiblioteket i Halmstad
Spatial design for Children nine to twelve years old at the Halmstad City Library. An investigation about the specific needs of the target group and how the Child department can be designed to stimulate their experience of visiting the library. The aim was to create a spatial concept from the Children?s ideas that inspires to playfulness and lust to read at the library. A more personal goal was to collaborate with an external part to prepare for my future role as a designer within Child culture.

The purpose of this study was to gain an understanding of the structured and evidence-based assessment tool/method The Brief Child and Family Phone Interview (BCFPI) trough a social psychology perspective of conversation. The aim was especially to seek an understanding of the method considering aspects of Children?s participation. The research question was: how do the method users apprehend the advantages and the limitations of the BCFPI method considering aspects of Children?s participation.

The purpose of this essay was to enhance the understanding and knowledge about phenomenon access support. Access support means that a third person (contact person) must be present during access visits between a Child and its parent, if it is necessary for the Child?s security or because the Child needs support. The study was based on qualitative interviews with four contact persons and two professional social workers, whose main task have been to support and, partially, coordinate the work of contact persons. During the interviews I put the focus on participant?s experiences and thoughts about the phenomenon access support.

Society has an obligation to offer parents support of various types, an example of such a support is ?parent support?. The purpose of this study has been to describe midwives and Child health care nurses conceptions of the need for early parent support. The definition of early parent support in this study is the first two weeks after delivery. Since the 1970:ies the Swedish delivery and ?BB? care has changed in that the time in hospital care after delivery has been reduced from in average six days, till an average of two days.

The purpose of this study was to investigate how directors of preschool apply the mandatory reporting and what information they say is important in the decision to report Child maltreat-ment. The study was built on five semi-structure interviews with five directors of preschool working in Greater Stockholm. The perspective of this paper is sociology of law theory. This means to study how out of law information makes sense when director of preschool applies the mandatory reporting. The result was analysed with three different analytic tools: action plan, consulting social services and the considerations of the directors of preschool them-selves.

The overall aim was to examine how the public interest to protect Children from violence and sexual abuse at home, is realized by social workers. The study´s central focus was the risk assessments as Social services are obliged to do when they receive a report containing concern that Children are being exposed to violence or sexual abuse at home. The study addresses the following questions:o How do social workers go about practically, and what support and knowledge is being used to determine whether the Social services need to intervene for the protection of a Child?o What risk and protective factors are taken into account by social workers in the assessment process?o What contextual factors do social workers experience are affecting them in the assessment process?o Which support does the documentation system BBIC provide in the assessment process?The study material was collected through qualitative group interviews, with a modified vignette methodology as tools. The study included a total of twelve social workers, with varying numbers in each interview group.

The aim of this study is to describe and examine the characteristics of inclusion of Children with disabilities in the kinder garden and primary school in Belarus. The data in this study were collected through interviews with special teachers and staff at the Developing and Rehabilitation center. The interviews were supported by Child-observations and a literature study. Staying in boarding schools prevents handicap students from integrating with the society as well as getting social experience. Integrated education demands the combination of two regularities: education of Children with normal development and special education of Children with psycho-physiological problems.

AbstractThis report aims, through interviews, observations and literature review to examine what some of the youngest Children know about the heart, blood and bloodstream. The sample size was twenty Children, half of them are at the age of three and the other half is at the age of six.The interviews showed that Children at the age of six had better knowledge than Children at the age of three, but one Child knew that we have the blood corpuscle in the body. He was also the only one who mentioned the blood corpuscle of all Children who participated in the research. Children at the age of three could not see the functional relationship between the blood and heart. One Child who was six years told that the air we breathe goes directly in the heart from where the blood is circulating to the rest of the body, together with the food.Keywords: heart, blood, bloodstream, the body.

The Swedish curriculum says that the education will adapt and take notice of every Child?s individual condition and needs. Every Child has the right to development, to feel the happiness of growing and to experience satisfaction of making progress and overcome difficulties. In every class it is often Children who need adapted physical education. The earlier these Children can get support and practice, the bigger the chance is that they will catch up.

In this experience-based essay, I give examples of events that take place during a typical day at preschool. By highlighting these everyday events, I discuss around the parental role and its importance for Children and Child development. I apply a historical review when it comes to views on Children and Child rearing, and reflect on different approaches that we have towards the Children. In the discussion, I reflect on the Childs need for boundaries, and thereby try to understand why we act differently in this respect. To gain more knowledge and understanding of the events I have taken help from theories in literature and from my own practical knowledge.

In 2001 the World Health Organization (WHO) issued a revised global recommendation for exclusive breastfeeding for a Child ´s first six months. The aim of this study was to investigate what information parents receiving from the Child Health Care about introduction of solids to breastfed infants and if they follow the recommendation. A further aim is to document reasons for introduction of solids at the selected time and describe what food parents start with.The method has a descriptive and a qualitative design. Users of several Swedish parenting websites were asked to participate in the study. A total of 27 users completed the anonymous open-ended questions posted on the websites.

Through semi-structured interviews with 8 school photographers and 10 parents,this study attempted to clarify what photographers and parents of Children(aged 1?5) in preschool think of photography business in the current situationprovides retouching Children?s school photographs and what they considers tobe acceptable. The result shows that companies do not offer photo retouchingfrequent, but performs this service at the direct request of the customer. Themajority of parents agreed that dirt and food was accepted to be removed fromthe photograph, and that this does not affect the Child's self image.
