The purpose of this study was to evaluate the different substrates that enter the digestion on Sundet wastewater treatment plant for production of biogas.This work have done an analysis of data about the biogasproduction from January 2012 to feburari 2013, this showed that the food substrates has a greater gas production than internal sludge.Through laboratory test the VS, TS and COD values for all the substrates used in the biogas production could be determinded. But the COD-method was less optimal for analysis of fat and food, therefore it optimized the method for fat but due to time constraints, this could not be done on the food substrates..

Enligt den deklarativa/procedurella modellen av språket (DP-modellen), utvecklad av M. T. Ullman, antas de neurala system som underligger det deklarativa minnet också understödja det mentala lexikonet, medan de neurala system som underligger det procedurella minnet antas understödja den mentala grammatiken. Det huvudsakliga syftet med denna studie var att skapa referensdata för två datorbaserade test som avsåg att pröva icke-språklig deklarativ och procedurell inlärnings- och minnesförmåga. Ytterligare ett syfte var att undersöka huruvida könsskillnader i testresultat kunde påvisas, eftersom tidigare forskning har funnit att kvinnor tenderar att ha en fördel när det gäller deklarativt minne.

Bakgrund Köttkonsumtionen i Sverige är idag rekordhög. Ur ett folkhälsoperspektiv är det viktigt att minska köttkonsumtionen och med fördel äta mer vegetariskt. Detta för att rött kött och särskilt processat rött kött har visats öka risken att drabbas av olika typer av sjukdomar. Syfte Syftet var att undersöka attityder till köttintag och vegetarisk kost hos vuxna konsumenter samt i vilken utsträckning olika faktorer påverkade matvalet. Metod En webbaserad frekvensenkät användes och deltagarna rekryterades via?facebook.com?.

Bakgrund: Dieter får allt större utrymme i media samtidigt som allt fler följer någon diet.Syfte: Syftet var att undersöka varför vuxna personer i Sverige valt att följa någon form av diet. Vidare undersöktes bland annat socioekonomiska faktorers inverkan på valet av diet.Metod: En webbaserad enkät distribuerades via Facebook där 235 personer deltog genom ett bekvämlighetsurval. Enkäten bestod av 23 slutna frågor. Svaren sammanställdes och analyserades i IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0. Resultaten analyserades med hjälp av Chi-2 test, Mann Whitney U test samt boxplots.

Kandidatprojektet har tagit fram en test- och utvecklingsplattform som underlättar testning och förståelse av komplexa trafiksituationer. En förståelse som kan användas till att lösa så väl dagens som morgondagens trafikproblem. Dessa problem innefattar ökade köbildningar, en stigande olycksfrekvens samt den miljöpåverkan som trafikens koldioxidsutsläpp orsakar. Ett långsiktigt mål för detta projekt är att möjliggöra ett intelligentare och billigare sätt att lösa dessa problem.Specialiserade delsystem som innefattar en trafiksimulator, en kommunikationsnod-simulator, fysiska miniatyrfordon samt en kartklient vilka har integrerats för att skapa en omfattande test- och utvecklingsplattform. Plattformen har kapacitet att återge verklighetstrogna trafiksituationer och ger därför en möjlighet att testa olika lösningar.

This master thesis project at KTH is performed in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineeringdepartment at University of Florida (UF). The thesis is a small part of a gas turbine researchproject where a vapour absorption refrigeration system (VARS) and a high pressure regenerativeturbine engine (HPRTE) are integrated together. The main objective is to build a computermodel of the VARS. The computer model is supposed to be used to analyse the off-designperformance of the VARS and should also be easy to integrate as a subroutine in a more complexsystem model. To model the VARS some knowledge of the absorbent/refrigerant mixture had tobe well known, in this case a mixture of ammonia and water.

Personlighetstester är en urvalsmetod som blivit vanligt förekommande vid re-krytering av ny personal inom ett flertal yrkeskategorier och branscher i Sveri-ge. Det är därför intressant att studera människors upplevelse av personlighets-test vid rekryteringssammanhang. Studiens syfte var att undersöka individers upplevelse av och förhållningssätt till personlighetstester under en rekryterings-process. Åtta deltagare valdes ut utifrån bekvämlighet och tre kriterier. Delta-garna skulle ha olika yrken, gjort ett personlighetstest under de senaste två åren och blivit anställda.

This thesis has treated a three-axis robot which task is to serve a larger test machine tomove the modules to be tested, from the storage to the test site. The robot is composed ofthree linear actuators; two standard components of ball screw type and a custom-builtactuator of trapezoidal type. The work has mainly focused on the custom-built device to seeif it could be replaced with a standard component. Part of the work has been to look into thepicking tool and to see if there are any possibilities to improve its function.The report presents two different proposals which I decided to call Robot 1 and Robot 2 andthey aim to address the problems arising in the purpose-built linear unit and the X-axislinearity problems. Robot 1 focuses on eliminating the problems that arise around therobot's X-axis, with such simple means as possible and without making excessive materialchanges.

The poultry red mite, Dermanyssus gallinae, is a common problem in poultry facilities, causing great discomfort for the hens and effecting the production economically. Few efficient acaricides are available and there is a need for new control methods since resistance has become a problem in some cases. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of the new liquid silica control agent Ectopar, on the poultry red mite. An initial in vitro test of Ectopar and its two components individually was performed, where live mites were sealed in together with filter paper impregnated with one of the three solutions prepared. The survival of the mites was thereafter recorded repeatedly during a period of 120 hours and compared to a control. For the field study, two poultry farms with different housing systems were used, one with furnished cages (farm 1) and one with a single tier floor system (farm 2).

The objective of this work was to evaluate and compare three field methods for detection of mastitis, California Mastits Test (CMT), DeLaval cell counter DCC (DCC) and FMA2001 Farm Milk Analyzer (FMA2001). Furthermore, to investigate at what cell count level clinical symptoms of mastitis are seen, and finally to check if the clinical findings and cell counts could be related to bacteriological findings. DCC and FMA2001 are new analytic instruments to be used on dairy farms for detection of mastitis. CMT has been a widely used cow-side-test of milk quality in mastitis control efforts, but it cannot be used for estimating cell counts in scientific studies or investigations. Two hundred and eight quarter milk samples from 52 cows were analysed with DCC and CMT, and 168 of these samples with FMA2001. Microbiological examination was done on 38 milk samples with CMT scores of 4 and 5.

Forestry and reindeer husbandry are entitled to use the same land for their operations. For this reason, conflicts occasionally arise between them. Soil scarification is a forestry operation which has a negative effect on the occurrence of reindeer lichen. Reindeer lichens are of crucial importance to reindeers and reindeer husbandry, especially in the winter when reindeers primarily feed on different lichen species (Cladina spp. and Cetraria spp.).

The purpose of this paper is to investigate Swedish Match's marketing strategy of product category snuff, through a special exposure. In store placement has a great affects on customer buying behavior and studies have shown that 70-80 percent of all purchasing decisions are made in the store, which in turn provides great opportunity for retailers to use their marketing tools for influencing customer buying decisions.Our thesis study is to test a double exposure of snuff with the help of three special exposure. These three special exposures are fridge, fridge with a sign and sign. The purpose of the study is to test which of these three special exposures that have the greatest impact on sales.

Introduktion: Mätning av monokulär visus utförs genom att ena ögat ockluderas med en svart ocklusionsspade. Spadar i ljust frostat material finns idag för användning vid cover test, vilket gör det möjligt att se vad som händer med det öga som täcks för. Dessa spadar har mer eller mindre samma utformning som de svarta ocklusionsspadarna. Dess likheter kan lätt göra att även den frostade spaden används vid visusmätning. Men är denna utformad för att användas även vid visusmätning? Fås då samma resultat med en frostad som med en svart ocklusionsspade, eller finns det faktorer som spelar in och påverkar visusresultaten?Syftet med denna studie var att jämföra visusresultaten vid ocklusion med en svart respektive frostad ocklusionsspade för att se om någon skillnad uppstod mellan de två ocklusionsspadarna när ljus tillförs det ockluderade ögat.Metoden som användes innefattade totalt 100 personer i studien varav 77 kvinnor och 23 män.

Our purpose with this research is to highlight that there is a scope for increased value creation in the experience room during concerts, and how value-enhancing strategies can be a competitive advantage for different venues. In our investigation of this we have worded the following research question: How is the perceived customer value affected during a concert in the experience room and its physical environment? With the background in this question we have identified three key concepts that we believe are the influence of the total concert experience which are; sensory experiences, interaction and identity. From these concepts we have drafted a number of propositions to test the reality by our empirical data collection. .
