Background: A strong brand is becoming an increasingly important factor when surviving on a competitive market. A strong brand can therefore be considered a strategically important resource. The relationship between a brand's strength and its distribution can decide the future of a brand in the long run. Lifestyle branding is becoming a more popular way of differentiating ones brand from the competition. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to identify factors which according to the lifestyle brand owners are central when measuring the strength of a brand.

I slutet av augusti valde TT att dra tillbaka sina reportrar i Luleå, Umeå och Sundsvall. Vi intervjuar chefredaktörer och TT för att höra hur de ser på centraliseringen av journalistiken. Hur många svenska orter får lov att vara underbevakade och på bekostnad av vilka?I vår granskning har vi intervjuat chefredaktörer om hur de nyhetsvärderar och prioriterar nyheter baserat på ort.

Women today feel that their urban surroundings are unsafe, and because of that they use different strategies to reduce the risk of being exposed to criminal acts towards them. The focus of this study is to develop an understanding of the insecure feeling that women feel and what that feeling might originate from. By using previous research and theories we have been able to incorporate a gender perspective on the study this because the gender role is central to understand women?s feelings of insecurity. The purpose of the study was to develop a deeper understanding of women?s sense of safety and insecurity.The central questions of the study are1.

Mathematics is a central topic in today's education debate, including discussion of its educational quality and various teaching methods. Today basically two different teaching methods are used; one is the textbook based method, with the book in focus and the other one the laboratory method by which teaching is performed through practical applications. The purpose of this study was to examine four primary school teachers' view of these two teaching methods by means of four relevant inquiries. By interviewing the four teachers, advantages and disadvantages were highlighted and the purpose was achieved. In order to support the analysis, two theories applied; the socio-cultural perspective and the cognitive perspective.

In a sequence described in the next paragraphs, I remove the poorly insulated roof of Gustavsberg Porcelain Factory and make new use of its  foundation. The monolith cement slab, once supporting heavy industrial machinery, is now the site of lakes and other movements:The top floor area is split, and a new built volume, one story higher, overtakes the southern half resting on the factory?s basement, digging into it at its western and eastern ends. Striking horizontally, the fissure exposes a long central axis, taking advantage of the factory?s horizontality to articulate vastness .

A central discussion within society and businesses today, is the change of generations in the business market which occurs within the upcoming years. A change of generations is unavoidable and a natural step in business. The challenge of the forthcoming reform is the large number of people leaving the labour market and the grand entrance of new labour; Generation Y. The characteristics of Generation Y differ from the older generation which enhances the challenges for the businesses to attract a new workforce. It may also be necessary for the organisations to adapt to the younger generation.

Idén till detta arbete föddes relativt tidigt i min utbildning då jag upptäckte att växtutbildningen i landskapsingenjörsprogrammet är väldigt fokuserad på den södra halvan av Sverige. Eftersom jag kommer att vara yrkesverksam i norra delen av landet ville jag undersöka hur växtutbudet såg ut där uppe. Resultatet blev en inventeringsresa genom zonerna V-VIII där jag studerat vilka växtarter som används i parker och stadsmiljö, vilken växtzon de anses härdiga för och hur de utvecklats på platsen. I denna uppsats redovisar jag vad jag kommit fram till. Uppsatsen börjar med en inledning där bakgrunden till arbetet framgår samt hur jag burit mig åt vid inventeringen. Sedan följer en kort litteraturstudie som tar upp några begrepp jag anser viktiga att nämna inför den efterföljande resultatredovisningen och diskussionen. Zonerna och städerna jag inventerat redovisas var för sig i resultatredovisningen, där jag som avslutning har valt ut fyra arter som jag går in på lite mer i detalj eftersom jag anser dem intressanta för användning i norra Sveriges urbana miljö. I diskussionen och slutsatsen tar jag upp några saker som jag kommit fram till under resans gång, bl.a. att jag funnit förvånansvärt många arter i högre zoner än de anges härdiga för, samt frågeställningar som dykt upp och skulle behöva vidare utredning. In an effort to strengthen democracy in the union, the EU in 2005 took a new approach to communications policy to reach out to the citizens. The strategic document "Plan D for Democracy, Dialogue and Debate" was accompanied by two other documents, and the three of them were the core of this policy. Both democracy and communications work means at EU level a higher complexity than in the nation-state arena. Objective of this study is to examine how the implementation of Plan D has turned out in a democracy renewal perspective. To achieve that answers are sought to questions concerning the goals of Plan D, how they are still present today, what happened in practice regarding the efforts that are highlighted, and how the substance of the activities can be judged from a democratic theory perspective.

Personlig assistans är en relativt ny och växande yrkeskategori i Sverige. Få studier har fokuserat på yrket ur ett personalperspektiv, varför det råder brist på kunskap om hur personliga assistenter upplever sina arbetsförhållanden. Syfte: Att undersöka hur personliga assistenter upplevde sitt arbete och sin arbetsmiljö med fokus på den belastning, belöning och (o)hälsa som kan uppstå. Metod: Studien var av kvalitativ ansats och byggde på sex semistrukturerade intervjuer med såväl privat- som kommunalanställda personliga assistenter från en stad i södra Norrland. Analysmetoden som användes var inspirerad av kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

En bra relation mellan banken och dess företagskunder är en central fråga för banken. Då de största kunderna för en bank ofta är företag är relationen mellan banken och företagskunderna högt prioriterade. På en fri konkurrensmarknad där bankerna tävlar om att få de mest lönsamma företagskunderna blir det därför oerhört betydelsefullt att upprätthålla och skapa relationer som både banken och företagen kan dra nytta av..

Att minimera olyckor och andra tillbud utgör en central roll i samtliga verksamheter, vilket gör avvikelsehanteringen till en viktig del i utvecklingen. Försvarsmakten har ingen central avvikelsehantering utan avvikelsen hanteras lokalt på förbanden. Det finns en plan på att införa ett gemensamt IT-stöd för att hantera avvikelser bland annat för att ha möjligheten att sammanställa statistik och identifiera systematiska avvikelser. Försvarsmakten har kravställt och upphandlat ett system som tagits i pilotdrift under 2009. Pilotdriften har resulterat i ett antal frågeställningar.

Denna studie syftade till att granska inkluderingen av autistiska barn i sju olika förskolor. Vi har fått en större förståelse för och insyn i hur det fungerar ute i verksamheterna och arbetet med autistiska barn. Syftet med uppsatsen var att ta reda på hur autistiska barn möjliggörs en inkludering i den övriga barngruppen i förskolorna, pedagogers kunskaper om autism och vilka arbetsmetoder som används. Vi letade efter skillnader och likheter mellan pedagoger som har arbetat/arbetar eller aldrig har arbetat med autistiska barn. Sju pedagoger intervjuades på olika förskolor i södra Norrland. Den forskningsansats vi har utgått ifrån är fenomenografin.

Over the years, what people have considered as the center of Stockholm City has gone from the medieval Stortorget in Old Town to the contemporary Sergels Torg. But more recently it has become unclear how the area really works. It is difficult to say where the actual central part of Stockholm lies, because while the Central Station is where the majority of people arrive into town, it is not necessarily close to Sergelstorg (considered the center of town) or other attractive commercial areas. There's also another issue with where the center of Stockholm is located. The railways and roads running along Klarabergs Viaduct acts as a divide between the areas of Kungsholmen and Norrmalm; these rails, roads and water separate the two areas from each other. In response to this problem of area division, a plan is being made to construct a new district near the center to mend the gap between the districts. The idea is that the center of Stockholm city will become more lively and attractive. The plan includes building new housing, commercial areas and a larger terrace called Mälarterrassen. In addition, improved mobility within the area is being planned by having better public transportation lines like City banan and tram named Spårväg City construction, as well as more pedestrian areas shall make the area become a district to thrive in.How the area will actually operate in the future is still unclear and many questions still exist about how the area will be able to compete and, above all, integrate with the other districts. The parts considered to be most important for the area is the scale of residential property and an attractive area that keeps people in the area and to encourages them to pass through the area. Perhaps the best solution would be to have something special planned in this area that can attract people in the community ? a city park, for example?.

Trading financial securities at stock exchanges and other authorized market places is today a particularly important socioeconomic phenomenon in many industrialized countries. A well functioning securities market is crucial for the economic development in these countries. The modern trading with stocks and other financial securities is characterized by the fact that the majority of the transactions at the stock exchanges are carried out through various intermediaries. The ultimate counterparties that are involved in a securities transaction (the seller and the buyer) are often unknown to each other. The anonymity in the securities trading implies several interesting legal problems.

Background: Human interaction by touch plays a central role for our health and well being throughout life. When people touch each other our bodies release a hormone called oxytocin into the bloodstream, this gives the body a soothing effect. Touching on the other hand can be perceived as unpleasant if it is not in accordance with the patient?s norm or wishes. From biblical times and through to today human touch plays a central part of nursing.
